this can "hint" them towards your secret door because in fact they are just hitting the secret door thinking it is a wall (same HP as a wall)
if you dont have a 100% movespeed path on your secret door then I dont know what could cause it.
and of course in this whole example i am not talking about sappers. they will definetly prefer to go through walls/ doors rather than walking. they only walk to avoid turrets.

also yes i like the idea of using steel rather than component. again though it might be worth adding the work amount that would have been spent at a fabrication bench or something instead : )
