Thank you for zis beautifull work! I have found a incompatibility (cause crash to destop when I launch the game) betwin this two mods "Lily's Bretonnia Rework" and "Lily's Bretonnia Technology Expension". I don't know where the problem come from (or if it's normal). But It's sad we can't play with these mods together ^^

Does the new version affect anything new that the last version didn't? If so it is possible that it has found a conflict with one of the other mods I use. I should probably prune the mod stack to be honest but every time I try I end up back on the workshop with even more stuff installed.

Most recent update broke it. Not sure why or how or in relation to what, but I was playing fine, took a break, this mod updated, game wouldn't load afterwards. Not just the save wouldn't work, whole game. Not sure if something went pearshaped or not but thought it might be useful to know. :)

Ok, I tested this mod, and it still works fine without updating to the latest DLC. The problem, however, is that it makes the Brets a bit over-powered, as many of their units get buffed twice and even thrives on the same stats - be it MA, MD, Leadership, Armor or what not. In fact, now the Bret technology tree gets just as extensive as their HE, DE, or Dwarven counterpart - while at the same time providing more bang for each item individually. I feel this is too much, either from a balance or lore perspective.

So would it be possible for you to release a toned-down version? Perhaps something like 12 more techs instead of 27 - and toning down those techs that make the cut a bit more in egregious cases?

If you have both at the same time your just going to fuck up your campaign since its going to flood your tech tree with copies of my techs over the top of the custom SFO technology. If you are using SFO use my new mod with it, otherwise just use this ^_^

@lily hey great mods good job - just noticed the SFO version added it and thought it feels like de javu and checked and found I have this original one active already - I don't know why I didn't notice it's not SFO maybe hadn't played bretonia since or somethig like that - what happens if I have them both active at the same time? is what I wanted to ask

It happens when I playing for Repance. When I hover my mouse over barracks in Copher the game crashes because of this mod.

just discovered this mod today and I already love it and your dedication to improving Bretonnia! Its a faction I love conceptually but that I've always wanted to see expanded more. Really looking forward to using this with mixus unique lords and the landmarks.

*NEW UPDATE*
A lot of the technologies have been stream lined and have had their research time sped up. The new techs are more straightforward and may seem more appealing and worth pursuing.

though given the one tech that would weaken the peasents fighting capablities for the economic boasts that would place there leadership values around that of the skavin themselves and only way they could compinsate for that is to have vetted peasent troops which can negate the tech's penality to there leadership maybe have something in there to compinsate for that? like a tech or two that could improve the starting or training capablities of the peasent troops to give them vet moral boasts cause not all armies could carry things that can carry moral boneses and anyone who can take advantage of that will route those guys real fast hope they rally back fast to compinsate.

An SFO version of this would be great. They do sort of work together, but some techs are in the same spots so you end up with the tech from sometimes one mod or sometimes the other.

I've considered improving the Sorceress to have the battle-pilgrim buffs that are normally unique to the Fay Enchantress since they seem to be pretty terrible. Other than that I have no other ideas in that regard.

I can now update mods once more, and as a result a new update has been released immediately!
A new tech has been added: Royarch's command!

This new upgrade will require almost all other techs to reach, but the reward will be worth it. It is the perfect upgrade for ranging far from home in the late game, give your armies more movement, replenishment and global recruitment.

I can't believe I forgot to test that part of the tech, my bad! I would fix it right now but I cannot update my mods due to an error each time I try. Not sure what the fix to that would be but whenever I can release the next update for the mod I'll make sure to add that change in.

As a fellow Bretonnia lover, thanks for your mods!

I'm having a small problem with the Call Errantry tech, the bonus to global recruitment is not working.
I fixed it locally by changing the effect scope to faction_to_faction_own_unseen. Not sure if that's the best approach though, I'm very new to modding.

pretty sure they would have access to tech, otherwise they would fall way behind the player, but now i'm not sure lol
