Is it possible to mod chaining aqueducts? Like place one and then place a second one to reach fresh water in the 3rd ring?
Apollo702 15 Feb, 2024 @ 9:24pm
Aqueducts as-is were barely worth building. This gives them just enough of a boost to be worth it- without overpowering them.

Good job.
STuRoK 29 Apr, 2023 @ 11:50pm
Could you please remove the need for the Aqueduct to be next to the City Center ?!

Anyone know how to change this?
H.Humpel 14 Jul, 2022 @ 5:24pm
Hi p0kiehl,
your mod has been translated by Junky into German and the translation is now part of the German translations for Civilization VI mods mod pack.
We would be more than happy if you could refer to the language translation in your mod description.
nerd 5 Jul, 2021 @ 12:00pm
@pixysmom I think he means mod that changes aqueducts to cisterns, to which this is not compatible.
pixysmom 2 Jul, 2021 @ 2:40pm
@cypman: From JNR's Fresh Water page regarding this mod: "With both mods active, Aqueducts no longer provide +1 Housing with charming Appeal by default. Instead, only the Appeal-based Housing from this mod, which unlocks with the Urbanization civic, will be active. All other changes are not affected and will work together fine."
cypman 26 Jun, 2021 @ 12:11pm
Is this compatible with JNR’s district expansion mods?
mattmmclain 28 Apr, 2021 @ 2:47am
When paired with the Baray mod for Khmer, it shows Housing instead of Food adjacency. Could you change it so it shows the Food adjacency like it used to, please?
Sint Holo 31 Mar, 2021 @ 6:41pm
When you say adjacency bonuses, where are those applied? To farms placed near districts/rivers, or to the aqueduct? Sorry if dumb question lol
thecraftybee 13 Feb, 2021 @ 4:04pm
Any chance of creating a mod or amending this to allow for Aqueducts to be placed outside the first ring of tiles? Or an alternate like an Iranian Qanat underground aqueduct from further out?
Or maybe a new tile feature like a Yucatani Cenote similar to geothermal that acts as a water source, that a builder can create so you can guarantee an aqueduct. Probably outside the scope of this mod. Thanks for all your wonderful mods.
Ctrekoz 11 Oct, 2020 @ 4:50am
Also tooltip about +1 Food to farms over resources in its city is missing ingame. However, this bonus is applied to any farms, even resourceless ones.
Ctrekoz 11 Oct, 2020 @ 4:00am
Can you update this mod so Japan's ability works with it? I.e. +1 food from adjacency with 1 district for this civilization, not 2.
davepbgrg1 8 Feb, 2020 @ 7:28am
@Ryou, I've never subscribed to this mod but I noticed that statue of liberty bug as well (i'm subscribed to quite a few other mods though but no idea which is to blame), however in my most recent game when i built the statue of liberty it did award me two diplomatic victory points as well as the two settlers, just on the research screen it doesn't actually state that it would give me two diplomatic victory points
p0kiehl  [author] 29 Dec, 2019 @ 8:12am
Has nothing to do with any one mod. What's happening is mod/DLC load order in the game is fundamentally broken in some level. Any one mod or some combination of mods could trigger the Statue of Liberty update from GS to not work.
Casius 29 Dec, 2019 @ 5:47am
I would like to add that I have experienced the same bug as Ryou with the Statue of Liberty giving the old Settlers. I havn't even subscribed to this mod, but I do have 5 of the tall play buff mods.

It indeed appears to be caused by some weird glitch between the official DLC's and some of your mods. I'll try to narrow this down more.
p0kiehl  [author] 30 Oct, 2019 @ 2:22am
@Ongoleniru yes this mod is completely working fine. Not every mod needs.to be updated for every patch.
Ingolenuru 29 Oct, 2019 @ 8:30pm
Is there somewhere on Steam that states this is updated for the latest patch? I love your mods but I am having crashes so I am double checking everything for compatibility.
thecraftybee 14 Sep, 2019 @ 11:33am
Is it possible to be able to build the Aqueduct in any freshwater tile in the 2nd or 3rd rings? Would love to see that added to an Aqueduct mod.
Nizou 26 Jul, 2019 @ 1:01pm
Is it compatible with June Patch ?
Geminus Leonem 18 May, 2019 @ 6:27am
Does the adjacency affect the "Nubian Pyramid"?
One would think that the Aqueduct would give it +1 food or something.
Talley' 13 May, 2019 @ 2:45am
All your mods are inspired from good places, and you render them so well, in a very RP way
Thx!
Ryou 11 May, 2019 @ 2:28pm
Alright, you won't believe what I found out. Me and my friend spent the last good hour trying to figure out what causes this.

The official Cat Scout DLC by Firaxis is the culprit. Removing the Cat Scout DLC fixes the bizarre Statue of Liberty glitch.
But it's not that simple. Furthermore we've found out that this glitch only occurs when using the Cat Scout DLC and at least 5 other official Firaxis DLC packs (excluding scenarios).

This only happens in conjunction with this mod, I should add. No other mod (that I've tested) caused this weird behavior when tested with the above method. Needless to say, I don't think that your mod is at fault, but rather, that this is some bizarre problem that Firaxis causes with the Cat Scout DLC, and this is likely related to other people experiencing this problem with other mods.

Sorry for taking your time, but I hope that me finding this out can be beneficial to you as well.
Ryou 11 May, 2019 @ 12:14pm
Okay, I've now tested it with a bunch of civs, it happens every time and it's really only this mod, all your other mods do not cause any such weird issue. I've isolated it to really just the Statue of Liberty, no other wonder is affected. You can quickly test this yourself by starting a game on a small map and checking the wonder in the tech tree or civopedia.
Ryou 11 May, 2019 @ 11:59am
Could you please test it yourself? I don't know what to tell you, I just came to inform you that it's most definitely caused by this mod.
p0kiehl  [author] 11 May, 2019 @ 11:58am
Don't know what to tell you. It's not my mods and it's certainly not this one.
Ryou 11 May, 2019 @ 11:57am
Yeah, nope, just tested it, disabled ALL MODS except this one, and it still has this bug.
p0kiehl  [author] 11 May, 2019 @ 11:57am
As I've said, I am confident none of my mods are causing any such issues.
Ryou 11 May, 2019 @ 11:53am
Hm, maybe it's in conjunction with another mod of mine, I'll do more testing!
p0kiehl  [author] 11 May, 2019 @ 11:52am
This mod doesn't do that at all. It has no effect on anything except aqueducts and aqueduct replacements.

I've never experienced that bug but I've heard others mention it. I saw on Reddit previously that Better Reports may be a culprit.
Ryou 11 May, 2019 @ 11:49am
Hey man, loving all your mods. Figured out today that unfortunately this mod somehow reverts the Statue of Liberty to the Rise & Fall effect to grant 2 settlers instead of 2 diplomacy points, I'm sure there's other stuff too, maybe check that!!
p0kiehl  [author] 4 May, 2019 @ 8:17am
Glad you like it! Thanks for the kind words.
pajamathekid 4 May, 2019 @ 7:39am
I thought after all this time, I was probably the only guy left using Butter's Improved Aqueduct District. It was heartbreaking to remove it from my mod collection. But it seems that some others enjoyed the mod so much, including the great p0kiehl, that a new version has been made. Rejoice, my friends! Thank you :D
p0kiehl  [author] 1 May, 2019 @ 6:20pm
Yes. As I stated in the Description: "All buffs are also applied to the Bath and any modded unique Aqueduct replacement district."
jrevo 1 May, 2019 @ 6:13pm
@p0khiehl does this effect the roman bath?
Sexual Attraction Whiplash 30 Apr, 2019 @ 11:13am
Thanks for the mod! Had been waiting for Butter's to update. I like how your mods work with each other.
kvandborg 29 Apr, 2019 @ 11:58am
@rlong and @p0kiehl .. about u talking of buildings to the Aqueduct.. why not make the aqueduct to a district like other districks, so it can have upgrades, and a building like a bath, and later upgrades like swimpoll and wellness area. :-) and give the upgrades posibility to make the people in u empire more happy.
R.O.D. 28 Apr, 2019 @ 7:36pm
This is... GOOD STUFF!
Great work pal!
p0kiehl  [author] 28 Apr, 2019 @ 7:15am
Thank you for the kind words!
Te 26 Apr, 2019 @ 9:50am
Still another awesome mod -- thank you!
zon 25 Apr, 2019 @ 7:27am
awesome, cheers!!
p0kiehl  [author] 25 Apr, 2019 @ 7:13am
@zon - Yes, it will apply to all modded Aqueduct replacements including that one!
水镜辉夜 25 Apr, 2019 @ 2:02am
It's what I want.I like the idea of giving it with adjacency bonus.
zon 24 Apr, 2019 @ 11:30pm
i can only quote rlong9000: thx for ur most excellently refined tall game enhancements @p0kiehl!! btw does this mod affect the aqueduct replacing torfbæir of sukritact's iceland mod as well? https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1299681230
many thx :)
p0kiehl  [author] 22 Apr, 2019 @ 7:46pm
@rlong9000 - Thanks for the kind words! I'm using this mod instead of Butter's Improved Aqueduct District (which as far as I can tell has not been updated in quite a while).

I hear you on the buildings thing, but I don't like to add buildings to districts unless I can back it up with unique in-game models and icons. I may do that for the Aqueduct district at some point, but at the moment I'm keeping it simple with this mod.
rlong9000 22 Apr, 2019 @ 7:13pm
@p0kiehl - To clarify, are you personally using his mod instead of, or in conjunction with, Butter's Improved Aqueduct District?

I personally like having the extra buildings to produce a la Butter's mod because I go wide, but also value the succinct elegance of your coding and the way you nuance the tall game.

Thanks for everything you add to the game!
