Does not sit on the road right :(

Go with dereck4. This building naturally blocks the road.

There are almost no state capitol style buildings on the workshop and this one is awesome. It fills a really important gap on the workshop. Thanks so much for doing this @dereck4.

Can you please make more state capitol buildings

@echoactually the asset is just too large to fit within the pre-determined lot sizes provided in the asset builder. I thought it was a given, but you'll want the Move It! mod to be able to place this asset exactly where you'd like it in your game.

I wish the building could either be placed on a walkway or the road was pushed farther out. It just didnt look right having cars drive into the building.

@cieran84 That makes me really happy. I was in the exact same place, wanting to create my hometown of Salt Lake City and just wishing I had the right buildings to do so, that's what prompted me to start making assets. So I am very happy to have helped make your city as well.

Thanks so much, I've been dying for this for years. The square footprint allows a city grid based entirely around this building as a focal point; I've already begun laying out my Madison map. Our farmer's market is even held around the Capitol Square every Saturday in warmer months.

Pro tip for users: Using More Beautification and Prop Snapping to add a few "white wall mounted flood lights" around the inside of the lipped edge near the middle of the dome helps to illuminate it better.

@Cieran84 no donation is needed, I don't even have a donation link or anything set up. I had fun making this asset and hope people enjoy it.

@HoboG Wisconsin has a bicameral legislature, comprised of the Assembly and the Senate.

Nice. You have a donation link? I do believe I made a promise.

One of the unusually laid-out legislative HQ's I know. Another is the New Mexico Capitol in Santa Fe. Is WI's legislature formed of 4 houses, as opposed the US Congress' and the westminster system's two?

thank you for this. one of my subs on YT will really appreciate me using this asset in my current city. i'll let you know how he likes it...

I haven't thought of it to be honest, but now I'm starting to think I'll just need to do them all and have a state capitols collection haha. I started making assets because I wanted to create my home town in Salt Lake City, I never really planned to make anything from anywhere else.

Was secretly hoping someone would do Wisconsin's capitol because of its odd shape. Thanks!
Any plans of doing a skyscraper capitol? (ex: Louisiana, Nebraska)
scottstachowiak 27 Apr, 2019 @ 3:45pm
It is one of the most impressive state capitols...

Thank you all! I just started making assets so I apologize if they are not up to par with some of the amazing talent on here, I am learning and getting better as I go. I am actually in Utah and just started making local buildings in Salt Lake City, and someone commented on my Utah Capitol Building wishing someone would make Wisconsin's, so I thought sure why not, the building is awesome and really intricate so I'd give it a try. Hope all the Wisonsinites enjoy it!
