does this work in 1.5??
Syok (You) 21 Jun, 2023 @ 12:48pm
Does not affect ideology

Works in 1.3, works in 1.4

The way categories are set up, by the way, this probably will affect such surgeries and there's not much I can do this end. DE surgeries might be able to do a compatibility patch

Due to a report of this working fine in 1.3, it seems that Mlie has added this to the list of his No Version Warning mod. (This removes the in-game warning of this mod not being designed for v1.3.)

1.3?

@lilwhitemouse I had this mod loaded after DE surgeries I believe, it basically removed the recipe to cure any infection (wound infection) with penoxy. Like the listing for it was there but it kept saying no usable material despite 150 penoxy right next to the medical beds. Hence why I say it's a recipe category thing for DE surgeries.

Sometimes DE surgeries is weird/stuff appears and disappears for modded animals and races, I wonder whether xenobionic patcher might be messing with it as before (like a few days ago) I could "cure" brain scars on my fighter animals but now seemingly I can't which is quite frankly bullshit when armoured attack rancors breed so slowly.

Weeeeird. I'm actually using one of the DE Surgeries mods; I can take a look. What surgery were you using, and what were you seeing?

This mod doesn't *remove* any categories from penox - it's still in the Drugs category, so I would think it still works, but who knows.

This mod has a weird interaction with DE surgeries in that it stops the surgeries using penoxy as an ingredient, I guess the recipes are configured to the original category.

Okay, fine, I can't claim any further laziness :lunar2019laughingpig:

Updted, and thanks Penguin :)
Simmin 18 Jan, 2021 @ 12:56pm
hey, i just wanted to say, i was working on a mod that adds more categories and i used this as a template, thank you for including tips in the code for amateurs like me. :)
lilwhitemouse  [author] 4 Jan, 2021 @ 7:33pm
The source code is available on GitHub - if someone wants to do the (minimal) work for updating, I will do the (even more minimal) work of publishing it on Steam (which is probably about the amount of work I am up for right now, unfortunately). In the meantime...it still works!
Skele₊ 30 Dec, 2020 @ 6:57am
No clue what that means
lilwhitemouse  [author] 28 Dec, 2020 @ 11:35pm
Anyone wants to give me a pull request on github, and I will update it! :D
Skele₊ 28 Dec, 2020 @ 4:31am
NTBR but are you still going to make it so it isn't "outdated"? :mhwgood:
lilwhitemouse  [author] 23 Aug, 2020 @ 2:24pm
I mean, you could always do a pull request on GitHub 😝
Demandro 23 Aug, 2020 @ 1:39pm
Thanks! It's just too annoying seeing "outdated" mod in your mod list, even if it's easy to fix, sometimes we, humans, are simply too lasy to open XML file XD (don't take it as personal, I'm about most of people, including myself)
lilwhitemouse  [author] 23 Aug, 2020 @ 10:11am
I mean, it works fine? But I suppose I'll update the XML so it says it works fine sometime soon :)
Demandro 23 Aug, 2020 @ 7:40am
So, I'm gonna be first to ask this... 1.2 please?
rosymachine 13 May, 2020 @ 11:53am
Thanks for this mod! These small fixes do so much.
lilwhitemouse  [author] 6 Apr, 2020 @ 1:36am
No changes actually required! So it's good to go for 1.1!
lilwhitemouse  [author] 5 Mar, 2020 @ 8:13am
Yes - Deep Storage took priority, but I am missing all my other mods and they will be updating this next week!
Drag0nCh1ld 4 Mar, 2020 @ 9:31pm
Will there be an update for 1.1?
lilwhitemouse  [author] 1 Oct, 2019 @ 3:47am
Yes - it's under Drug Policies. You have to manually set it up.

It's actually vanilla behavior.
Alkpaz 19 May, 2019 @ 6:08pm
Thanks for the mod! :)
jose.faunon 4 May, 2019 @ 2:07am
Thank you!
lilwhitemouse  [author] 3 May, 2019 @ 8:41pm
YES!

https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=33219.0

Also http://rimworldwiki.com/

If you read over some of the example tutorials (to get an idea of what a mod looks like) and then use this mod as a template, you can probably manage!
jose.faunon 3 May, 2019 @ 4:58pm
i dont know even start to do it... can i find some tutorial or something?
lilwhitemouse  [author] 3 May, 2019 @ 3:24pm
(hardest part is looking up defName from VGP GM and finding any typos you made :p At least for me that last part is the hardest...)
lilwhitemouse  [author] 3 May, 2019 @ 3:23pm
It's actually pretty simple. If you have an hour, you could do it:

Download this mod (from github), edit About/About to change the name (important ;p ), and in the Patches directory, change Penoxycyline to whatever the defName for ibuprofen is.

Put the mod folder in your Game's Mods folder.

Load the new mod after VGPGM. And heck, upload it to steam as an add-on mod.
jose.faunon 3 May, 2019 @ 1:55pm
if onlyi could find a mod that make tha same with ibuprofen from VGP Garden Medicine
gyppygirl2021 29 Apr, 2019 @ 12:50pm
Technically speaking, even though penoxycyline is classified as a drug, it doesn't work the same as any of the other drugs - it isn't addictive, it doesn't produce a "high", it doesn't have any negative effects from long-term use. The only thing it really does is prevent colonists from getting sick.

...so yes, it is a medicine, and it's kind of silly imo that this mod is even necessary. But it is, so. Yeah. lol
