did not realize this added camelot, it made legacy of king arthur mod very fun. playing as a breton ruler in gwent from camelot wielding excalibur is a dream you don't realize you have until you try.

Sadly none of these artifacts spawn for me and I cant seem to find any additional wonders either. Im using other artifacts and wonders mods could be why. But they all say they should all be compatible. A shame since I love playing in Italy or Greece region

@Sovereign Haos It's so nice to see someone who still enjoys CK2 and this mod! :happy_yeti:

I want to preface this by saying that there is no guarantee I will be able to release any further updates. Due to a lack of time, a lack of graphical design talent, and inspiration being fickle, it has been difficult for me to work on modding lately. With that being said, I still have some plans for features and content that I have not yet added. I would love to add more content and polish up what has already been released! Knowing that someone still wants an update does do a lot to motivate me. I might even look into eventually porting to CK3 (although modding seems to be more difficult and graphics-focused in the newer Paradox games).

I really loved this mod. Since CK2 is not being updated anymore, it is still good to go whenever I want it. Will you ever come back to it, or is this a decidedly finished mod?

There should now be a proper release on the GitHub page for anyone who wants to download directly. See the description for a link!

Thanks!

Hi, all; thanks for sticking around! I am now excited to present the ATLANTIS update!

In this major new quest chain, aspiring Hellenic characters can recreate the ODYSSEY (yes, that Odyssey :winter2019happydog:) and search for the mythical city of Atlantis.
Within this quest chain, you'll be able to prove your worth as a Greek hero and experience iconic moments from Odysseus' treacherous journey across the Mediterranean.
There are also some exciting new rewards, but I'll post them separately in the Discussions page to avoid giving spoilers.
This chain is more complicated than the Camelot chain, so please let me know if there are any bugs or issues with balance. Enjoy! :)

I have foundations in place for a few other legendary/mythical wonder quest chains, so you can probably expect another update soon and more major updates later this year.

happy new year and thank for your hard work!

Happy new year, still looking forward to it!
The Great Gatsby  [author] 31 Dec, 2021 @ 11:19pm
@FewestChicken53 Thank you so much! Obviously, I didn't finish it by the end of the year like I wanted (unfortunately, I didn't have access to my files for the past few weeks), but rest assured that I am able to work on it again!

I'm setting the end of the month (at the latest) as an artificial deadline so I'm not tempted to procrastinate :happy_yeti:

Happy New Year, everyone!
Markus Kruber 31 Dec, 2021 @ 5:12pm
looking forward to the next update my man

Great news, thanks!

Quick update--I've been working on modding on and off for the past few months, and now that the school semester is winding down, I'm planning to finish the new update before the end of the year!

Hope everyone is staying healthy!

@CrusaderPrince I'll look into uploading the mod somewhere!
PrincipeCrociato 24 Sep, 2021 @ 4:08am
Also when this update is done, could you make a manual download somewhere?
PrincipeCrociato 24 Sep, 2021 @ 4:07am
Can't wait for the update!

Here's an update for anyone who might possibly be waiting for news about this mod - even after the launch of the next game in the series :)

I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but it was very difficult to find the motivation to work on this mod throughout the pandemic. I know it has been difficult for everybody, so I sincerely hope that everyone reading this is safe and healthy.

With that out of the way, I recently started working on modding for Crusader Kings II again, and I would love to release the next major update that I mentioned previously. As I stated before, I got a bit carried away with the amount of content that I wanted to include, so it will take me a while to finish the update (the most time-consuming part is writing exciting event chains to make finding the legendary great works awesome :winter2019happydog: ).

Lastly, thank you to everyone who uses this mod and/or took the time to read this comment!

One thing that would be interesting is a hospital based on the works of Galen. Getting the works in the first place would be difficult and trying to establish such a place which is out of step with Medieval thought would be difficult, even heretical in some places. Once done, it offers unique bonuses to disease control, army recovery and keeping nobles who seek its favor healthy. Galen even had a form of mental ward system which could allow for a few traits (Lunacy and Possession) to be removed. Best done with a pagan group, but if following a heresy it should be compatible with no animosity as you aren't paying attention to the Church anyways. Events for the apothecary chain would become permanent once established in each county so long as Galen's Hospital is actively maintained.

The Great Gatsby  [author] 25 Nov, 2019 @ 7:53pm
Hello! I've got a quick update. With the upcoming winter break, I will have a lot more time to work on and finish the next major update for An Antique Land. Stick around for some awesome features (and, as always, please feel free to give me suggestions in the Discussions)!

Thank you for your patience!

Hi make Athenian Acropolis please. I dont know why Paradox didnt make this monument....
The Great Gatsby  [author] 7 Jul, 2019 @ 12:16am
@DecimusBlood Glad to help!
DecimusBlood 6 Jul, 2019 @ 10:36pm
@The Great Gatsby Thanks very much. I thought that it was a decision of some kind that I just haven't got for one reason or another. Cheers mate.
The Great Gatsby  [author] 6 Jul, 2019 @ 1:41pm
@DecimusBlood I've written up a quick guide with the complete list of requirements for the quest to trigger naturally. Here's the link: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/1730172561/1642041886378751670/

@DecimusBlood I've made the Camelot event quite rare (with a MTTH of 120 months) in order to make it more balanced. On top of this, you must own the province of Gwent in Southern Wales. If you want to cheat and start the event chain early, make sure you own Gwent, then use the command "event anl.001"
DecimusBlood 6 Jul, 2019 @ 4:33am
How do you start the events? Is there a decision that I need to trigger or something?
Star¤Dagger 5 Jul, 2019 @ 12:18pm
I'm running >Immersive Slave Training & Kidnapping< so if there ARE any bugs, you're in deep trouble ;)
Star¤Dagger 5 Jul, 2019 @ 12:16pm
Woo-HOO!
The Great Gatsby  [author] 4 Jul, 2019 @ 9:12pm
@Star¤Dagger Thanks for your suggestion! I've whipped up an HIP-compatible version of this mod, but I haven't had very much time to test it. Please let me know if I've made any mistakes!

Please make this HIP compatible!!

Update on previous message: I've finally figured out how to destroy Great Works with a game rule, so I've updated the mod with a few new game rules. Enjoy!
The Great Gatsby  [author] 31 May, 2019 @ 10:29pm
Hello, everybody! I've just released a new update which contains a long event chain to discover Camelot (as well as other goodies). Read the change notes if you want more information.

Also, if any of you know how to remove Great Works with a game rule, please let me know. I've been trying to figure this out for a few weeks now, and I've only been able to use a game rule to deactivate them. I appreciate your help! :cleanseal:

Thank you, and have a great day!
Danken Duncan 20 May, 2019 @ 10:14am
Very nice. Was hoping for more great works in mods :).
The Great Gatsby  [author] 10 May, 2019 @ 8:16pm
@tHeCeLt21 Unfortunately, since the Great Works are in vanilla provinces, it should not be compatible with HIP.
tHeCeLt21 10 May, 2019 @ 12:03pm
Is this compatible with HIP?
The Great Gatsby  [author] 7 May, 2019 @ 4:03pm
@Erudito That is actually on my personal to-do list! I would love to hide the Camelot wonder behind an event chain. It might be a while before I have time to commit to creating events, though.
CatBoySlim 7 May, 2019 @ 2:50pm
Could tie the wonders to an event or ambition if owning certain provinces? Appearing only after being 'discovered' in an event chain.
Dizzydeath1337 6 May, 2019 @ 4:53pm
Could add it as a game rule
"Build An Antique Land's great works anywhere?"
The Great Gatsby  [author] 6 May, 2019 @ 2:00pm
@Nice shot! I don't think there is a way to make the Great Works unique while also allowing the user to build them anywhere, so I don't plan to implement this feature. If you know of a way, please let me know!
The Great Gatsby  [author] 6 May, 2019 @ 1:08pm
@Bad Horse In order to see the new Great Works, a new save is required. The artifacts I added should spawn at their normal spawn date as long as your save is before that date.
Bad Horse 5 May, 2019 @ 10:05pm
Will this require a new save?
a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ archer 5 May, 2019 @ 12:14pm
Any plans for an option to build the great works anywhere in a randomized world? I know you've got a lot on your plate as far as developing this mod - so just a suggestion.
