@Crystal Meth needs to be in your data folder and needs to overwrite vanilla sound files.

whats the installation path for the sound?

is it possible to use the battles sounds of Medieval ii which are far better and more immersive than those of attila

Is there a way to increase the sound of a melee combat. I mean when I charge with my cavalry into the enemy infantry it should sound far more engaging. It should make me feel the weight of cavalry units but Attila does not do that.

This is out of the box compatible with any mod, even overhaul mods. They rarely touch the audio files I altered.

could you make it compatible with 1212ad?

I do have a problem. After installing, I'm still getting the voices on the campaign map unlike your Rome 2 mod. I am running the Ancient Empires mod if that has anything to do with it.

@kilgore Thanks mate, appreciate the feedback

One of the most useful mods in the workshop. Still don't understand why muting voices isn't an in game option.
Brado  [author] 8 Jan, 2022 @ 5:56pm
Link works for me. Could be ISP settings depending on country?

its the MOST disireble mod when you playing attila with sound more than 10 minutes! Thank you!
Brado  [author] 15 Jul, 2020 @ 5:32pm
Will look into the campaign sound. One of the files should remove this but will check it out.
Ser_Chonks 4 Mar, 2020 @ 6:09am
Would you happen to know what file one would need to replace to get rid of the obnoxious raiding shouts on the campaign map? Thanks!!
Mantequilla 12 May, 2019 @ 8:54pm
video pls
Pharaoh 7 May, 2019 @ 8:36pm
Ok never mind that may have been due to the unit stutter I was experincing at the time

Stupid nividia and their buggy cards
Brado  [author] 7 May, 2019 @ 3:50pm
The mod does not remove any battle sound fx other than voice acting and ui-related activation noises. Are you talking about the sword clank when you click a unit to attack?
Pharaoh 6 May, 2019 @ 9:33pm
I find as it stands this mod takes away too much

The clashing of the swords were vital to my immersion
Pharaoh 6 May, 2019 @ 4:38pm
So does this mean sound is indeed modable in the newer games?
Brado  [author] 6 May, 2019 @ 11:19am
All you have to do is download packfilemanager and open each sound db file and delete the .bnk and .wem entries you don't want, i.e. campaign_vo = Campaign Voice Over, battle_vo = battle chatter, etc...
Brado  [author] 6 May, 2019 @ 11:18am
Good deal. Yeah I am not trying to make anyone pay out for this. Can write a tutorial for anyone interested in creating their own variation. It's quite simple with the right tools, which are all freeware.

I figured out a way around it if you click on the files you are brought to a sperate download link

Should not be behind a paywall. If that's the case let me know and I will try to find an alternate hosting site.
Pharaoh 6 May, 2019 @ 7:40am
Though since it is only two files I guess I can download seperately

rip internet
Pharaoh 6 May, 2019 @ 7:34am
