Hello I've seen some of your scripts and love your work. Is it ok if I have your permission to possibly turn this into a module if I can? I think this as a zeus and eden module would be amazing especially with the amazing fire effects you have on this script

Must be an eventhandler or a loop that interferes with text, Try another way to use the title, where do you execute the command from? Client or broadcast from server?

Just to mention, everything works perfectly normal. It's just when I use titleText it doesn't function properly.

Hey ALIAS, this script makes titleText act weird, it makes it appear and disappear really fast, and when I disable initServer.sqf file, everything works normally fine. Is there anyway I can fix it?

You can put out fire by deleting the fire source

To turn off fire you would need to delete the objects used as source for that fire.
So to make the extinguisher functional you have to script it so it deletes the objects.
Is not complicated but it take a bit of time to mess with it and could be tricky for a beginner, but is doable

Hey Alias, love your scripts! I'm working on a project that would be looking to have a fire start and slowly spread if unchecked. In vanilla there is the Fire Extinguisher that you can spawn down as an object. Is there a possibility of making the extinguisher functional and able to combat the flames?

I'm learning to script but i haven't really found anything other than yours that will get me to where I'm trying to go. Any ideas are appreciated!

Me again. Now having a lightly different issue! Players are immune which is brilliant, but the boat I'm using that goes under the fire (on an oil rig) breaks no matter what. I've tried disabling the damage on the boat and also put the classname in vik_list to make them immune but that doesn't appear to have helped. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Is there a way to stop the Wild Fire causing damage to players? I know you can stop it damaging buildings.

I can't seem to get it to work with the ACE incendiary grenade. I also tried using your grenade script with the ACE grenade class name, and I couldn't get that to work either. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Is not complicated, tho is a bit tricky. In principle you can do what i did in my special grenades script, use ACE incendiary grenades' classname. However the damage part needs tweaking to make it ACE compatible

In principle yes, tho i never tried. If you talking about fire on burning vehicles that should be removed once you delete the wreck.

Looks like you using an older version of the script and i don't remember why and when i used that variable.

with the Thunderbolt script one of my favorite! always must laugh when people caught fire by burning wrecks or inside vehicles. It looks so good :)

Totaly works. Been in use with my clan several times. And after the update two months ago or so the fireeffects disappeared on every client when burning stopped.

I like this script. Offers a good amount of possible things - like adding an EH to a fueltruck so it bursts with flames etc. though this seems to not work properly when done so. Maybe try to improve your documentation, your scripts tend to get me lost on the overview.

It is easy to apply ace dammage to this script. Think it´s pretty much just "initplayerlocal.sqf";

Inside change:
player setDamage ((getdammage player) + damage_playeron_fire);

To:
_bodypart = ["head", "body", "hand_l","hand_r", "leg_l", "leg_r"] call BIS_fnc_selectRandom;
_Size = 0.1 + damage_playeron_fire;
_WoundType = ["ropeburn"];
[player, 0.1, _bodypart, "ropeburn"] call ace_medical_fnc_addDamageToUnit;

LOL, didn't think of it, should work, adjustments on position might be needed like ASL instead of ATL i don't remember how i dealt with.
Also you would need to deal with damage system, it wasn't meant to be able to swim under fire :)

In some cases you can extinguish fire deleting the object in fire (wild fire, static fire), players can roll on the ground, but for vehicles there is no going back, you would need to edit the script somehow to make it possible.
