@Yatta - Albino Thanks for the notification. I just saw the news in Discord about this change, talk about convenient timing haha. I've added a note to the top of the description mentioning they will no longer be able to connect as of 1.204.
Yatta - Albino 13.5.2024 klo 15.12
Btw, thanks for the timely updated Kham, and thanks for this mod :)
Yatta - Albino 13.5.2024 klo 15.12
PSA: You MUST use Kham's new version.

Today's SE update (1.204 "Signal") breaks something with non-axis aligned connectors - at least the 1x1x1 connector of this mod doesnt work anymore.

Kham's new version already fixes the connector axis which solves the issue.
Kham  [tekijä] 28.4.2024 klo 9.03
New version has been released, it's also available on mod.io
Steam https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3234504316
Mod.io https://mod.io/g/spaceengineers/m/connectors-collectors-v2

This version has been marked as OLD and has had an 'OLD' tag added to all icons to make them easier to identify since they look physically identical.
Kham  [tekijä] 24.4.2024 klo 12.35
Yeah that's the way I'm leaning too. I think it'd make more sense, I can mark this mod as obsolete and link to the newer version and people can load both up to replace them and then remove the old version if they want.
It'll take me a few days probably to get them all sorted out but I'll post here again once it's up.
Sardaukai 24.4.2024 klo 11.04
In my opinion a seperat fixed version would be the way to go.
So everyone is able to switch by its own
Kham  [tekijä] 24.4.2024 klo 10.22
So I have been able to replicate the issue and it actually affects all of the blocks.

It's related to the model orientation and sadly I maintained the orientation of the blocks in the original mod when I made this so it could be switched out for the original without breaking any builds but now it means all of them will need to be rotated 90 degrees to fix this issue.

Of course, this means it will break all existing builds which use these which is far from ideal but it's the only way I can find to fix it.

I'm trying to weigh up whether to release the 'fix' as a separate mod so people can manually switch over their connectors or whether to just update this mod and break any existing connector placements.
Sardaukai 22.4.2024 klo 7.21
Hey, great !!!
It is the conveyored connector, maybe the armored too because it seems to be the same block just without conveyor ports
Kham  [tekijä] 21.4.2024 klo 16.45
I'll try to take a look and see if I can replicate it. Is it a specific block it's happening with?
Sardaukai 21.4.2024 klo 16.08
@MDManiac

Same here, ejecting ends with clang and sometimes a game crash (sound bug)
Sometimes the rocks spawn behind the block...

If someone have the model I could edit it to prevent the error
Morgenmuffel 2.11.2023 klo 1.15
I can't find this block's, where i can to find them?
DuckyToDucker 9.10.2023 klo 14.49
I recently had issues with the 1x1x1 connector with conveyor ports... It stopped making a connection for my piping. I also have seen my ships move away from the connector, but still show connect. They actually float away and damage the hangar.
MDManiac 11.3.2023 klo 16.03
I had a problem with these connectors not properly working as ejectors. Stone would "get stuck" in some kind of limbo, causing random Clang effects. Anyone else had this issue?
BoBka 12.2.2023 klo 2.51
Hello, I want to use this mod on my server, it is allowed?
Shenanigan 10.2.2023 klo 10.11
@Ziku Well written!
BIV 8.1.2023 klo 6.26
Great collection of alternate blocks, apart from the increased functionality you have added some more aesthetics to the game. Well done mate.
Ziku 22.11.2022 klo 12.53
Dear author :) I love your mod, and have been using it all the time till one day when I've started using 'docking computer' mod. What's the problem? Alignment. While vanilla connectors having 'forward' axis toward outside (like facing ship you'll be connecting to), your connectors have "up" axis facing outside. Problem is with autodocking script using these axes for ship alignment and, as you can imagine, whole proces ends very bad ;) I'd be happy if you could realign your docking ports as they are in vanilla. Best regards!
condottiere 3.5.2022 klo 22.26
I have constantly used this in all my ships large and small. Thank you!
Kham  [tekijä] 2.5.2022 klo 15.21
@anzellott The normal 1x1x1 is 212.8Kg and the armoured versions are 364.8Kg.
anzellott 1.5.2022 klo 8.26
What Is The Weight of The 1x1x1 Small Connector?
Armigus 8.2.2022 klo 13.15
Well, you could make a collector block with collectors on 3 sides and conveyors on 3 sides. Each makes a "C" around the cube.
VS-lockon 23.12.2021 klo 11.44
Conveyor armored please
BROTHERHOOD 2.12.2021 klo 15.07
Is it possible to reupload to mod.io ?
Kham  [tekijä] 27.7.2021 klo 6.39
@Syphond I don't currently have any plans to add to the mod but it still functions completely and if that ever changes I will update it.

@David "TheDave" Eastwick yes the mod still functions completely. It hasn't updated because Keen haven't changed anything about connector blocks in that time.
Syphond 26.7.2021 klo 22.46
@Kham, are you still maintaining this mod?
NorfolkDave 16.3.2021 klo 11.53
Was looking for a 1x1 connector for piping hydrogen into a rover, this looks perfect but does it still work? I see it was last updated august 2020
Armigus 30.12.2020 klo 8.51
Is it possible to make a connector with a built-in camera for easy docking?
SunGod 29.12.2020 klo 12.13
@kham Nice blocks! Can you add a flat connector variant (large and small grid) that sit flush against 1x1 blocks for easy conveyor access and docking? That would be a wonderful addition. Thanks!
Aer0Whiskers 26.11.2020 klo 15.46
Would there be a way to just get the small grid 1x1 connector from this mod without all the other blocks?
Professor Falken 31.10.2020 klo 18.21
@Kham Ahh, yes, good point - breaking anyone's build wouldn't be something I'd want. XD I did take a look at modifying them, myself, and learned that it would be an issue unless you had the original models. i.e. - you can't take the SE models and just edit them for your own purposes.

Either way, yes - it looks like he did come back with a solution. I figured that would be the easiest route, anyway, so I'm going to give it a go. Thanks for the reply!
Kham  [tekijä] 30.10.2020 klo 16.51
I see Spug already gave a couple of suggestions on where to edit the script to get it functioning with these so I hope you have some luck with it. If I hadn't built this mod to replace an older defunct mod (thus I needed to copy his original orientations) I may have used the same orientation as the vanilla connector but to be honest it's not something I would have probably even considered because model orientation doesn't matter in 99% of cases.
Kham  [tekijä] 30.10.2020 klo 16.40
@Professor Falken Sadly, changing the orientation isn't really a "simple" thing to do as if I change the block orientation then it would break any builds people have which already have these blocks in place. Not sure which script you're using but I'll assume it's Spug's, might be an idea to ask if he could add an optional setting to adjust the rotation of the connector to allow for modded connectors not having the same orientation as vanilla blocks.
Professor Falken 30.10.2020 klo 15.20
Hi, @Kham. Love the connectors! Great for my army of tiny drones, and hell, for simply being able to dock smaller vehicles to recharge. (Well known fact - there are no power cords in 2077)

One issue I ran into when replacing a vanilla connector with the 3x3x1 small grid connector is that when using it with an auto-landing script, I end up spinning out and crashing. Upon taking a look, it appears that the models in this pack have the connector port oriented on the top, whereas the vanilla models have them oriented in the front. (You'll see what I mean when placing these with Ctrl-+ to show orientation.)

So if you were coding a script for auto docking with connectors, and need the orientation of the connection point, you'll get the wrong side of the block. Any chance the models can be updated with a simple 90 degree rotation forward? For example in the first image for this mod, if the connectors were rotated 90 degrees toward the camera.
Death666Machine 24.10.2020 klo 14.54
yeah no problem man. agreed very strange and random, ive found a couple odd issues like that recently =P
Kham  [tekijä] 24.10.2020 klo 14.13
@Death666Machine Thanks for letting me know you figured it out man! That's such a random thing I wouldn't have thought of that haha.
Death666Machine 24.10.2020 klo 12.47
Hey just an update, figured out the issue I was having is related to MES mod specifically the weapon replacer
Bombenfreak 21.10.2020 klo 9.06
Same here looking for slim connectors cant find any :(
Omega 19.9.2020 klo 22.08
Just found this mod, I love it! Been dying for new connectors for a while, the old mods are all broken. Any chance you could revive the old DK Slim Connectors/make a new slim profile connector in your style? That's an old favorite I'd love to see back in action.
Death666Machine 19.9.2020 klo 18.52
Yeah I've come to the same conclusion
Kham  [tekijä] 19.9.2020 klo 18.49
@Death666Machine I tested your respawn ship in vanilla and on a Torch server and was able to respawn in it without any crashes.
Obviously I didn't have any of the other mods you use but I did have this mod enabled and the connector was there on the back of the pod without any issues.
I can't confirm if it's your respawn file at fault, or another mod you use, or an issue with a plugin for Torch which you may be using but this mod doesn't seem to be causing the problem on it's own.

I did have to remove the <PlanetTypes> section from the .sbc file, since I didn't have that planet to test with. I wouldn't have thought that'd cause any issues though. I think you will have to seek help from the Torch team's Discord I'm afraid as the problem is not occurring in any way with just this mod so it's an issue on their end or another mod/Torch plugin you are using.
Death666Machine 19.9.2020 klo 15.21
still haven't managed to figure out why I can't get this to work =P

Sorry forgot to respond heres the one that is crashing with the connectors
Kham  [tekijä] 19.9.2020 klo 6.59
There's not, but I can take a look at adding a version of it for small grid.
¿HA? 19.9.2020 klo 5.23
Is there a small version of the 2x1 centered connector (like the one in first pic in the middle and on the left) in this?
Kham  [tekijä] 26.8.2020 klo 18.44
@Death666Machine do you happen to have a link to the respawn ship mod with these connectors in place that I could check out? I haven't made any custom respawn ship mods but I have heard of numerous people talking about them causing crashes over the years, might be something fixable?
Though there may be someone in the Torch Discord with more experience of custom respawn ships. :)
Death666Machine 26.8.2020 klo 17.52
Also I have them placed on a respawn ship. When I select that respawn option it makes the server crash. If I figure out whats going on with it I'll let you know.
Death666Machine 26.8.2020 klo 17.49
Sounds good man, I'll see what I can dig up. Thanksfor looking into it =D
Kham  [tekijä] 26.8.2020 klo 9.38
@Death666Machine So I've just installed and setup a Torch server to test the mod with and I'm not getting any crashes with the mod installed. I've placed all of the blocks from the mod, connected and disconnected them from each other, moved out of render distance and back again. I'm not sure what's causing your crash but this mod alone on Torch doesn't seem to be causing any problems.
You'll have to ask the Torch team as it could be related to a Torch plugin you might be using or something. They do have a support Discord which is probably the best place to ask.
If you do find out what's causing it I'd be curious to know in case anyone else reports the same issue.
Kham  [tekijä] 26.8.2020 klo 7.43
@Death666Machine Thanks for getting back to me. So I'm guessing that means you're still getting a crash in Torch?
Is it a dedicated server crashing or a client crashing?
Is the crash happening when the block is placed, or when it's accessed, or when the connectors lock?
Could you possibly upload the full log to something like https://pastebin.pl/ and link it here so I can forward it to the Torch team? Since it's not causing a crash in vanilla it's something I'd have to try and contact them about.
