Carbon Dioxide is the most important gas? not really king damuncha
King DaMuncha 16 Jul @ 6:22am
The rock is black, the fog of war is black, the carbon dioxide is black, Its near impossible to see it and its the most important gas to worry about. Please change the color.
Gyropilot 25 May @ 5:04am
Also can I suggest to change CO2 color to something other than black?
Black confuses too much with any other gas at low pressure
Gyropilot 25 May @ 4:55am
What does Interp do?
Filibuster Crunchmonkey 30 Jan @ 4:56pm
i fixed it!!

turns out oni was cloud saving into my onedrive, which only has 10gb of space. its weird that it couldnt fit 3 mods, but now that i unsynced my documents folder, it works now
Filibuster Crunchmonkey 30 Jan @ 4:42pm
im able to see within mods tab in the game. it says v4.2.0. not sure what could cause this issue.
Swistak  [author] 30 Jan @ 12:06pm
@Filibuster Crunchmonkey:

It's unlikely, but maybe Steam Workshop still gives you wrong version of the game.

You can go to:

~\Documents\Klei\OxygenNotIncluded\mods\Steam\1737859934

Then check "Properties -> Details" of file "GasOverlay.dll". Latest version is 4.2.0

Filibuster Crunchmonkey 29 Jan @ 10:40pm
i checked and it says "not compatible with spaced out" next to the mod. thing is, it shows this for all my mods. so it might not be this one specifically causing the issue
Filibuster Crunchmonkey 29 Jan @ 10:39pm
thanks for quick response. ill test it now
Swistak  [author] 29 Jan @ 10:30pm
@Filibuster Crunchmonkey: It is working for me in the "Spaced Out" DLC. I don't have the others so can't verify, but it should also work there.

I just enabled it for all the DLCs so maybe it will work for you now!

@Tealoc: No problem, I'm glad that you find it helpful after all.
justin.fitzgibbon 29 Jan @ 8:31pm
Once again, I hate that you can't directly reply to people in non discussions.
Filibuster Crunchmonkey 29 Jan @ 8:10pm
could you please make this work for the spaced out dlc? i love this mod and cant use it with the dlcs
Tealoc 29 Jan @ 2:48pm
Also taking note im not a random hater. im cant live without chained desc and love draggb ui.
Tealoc 29 Jan @ 2:44pm
@Swistak I withdraw my comment, i think its useless when i see first time cause the existing overlay, but tested and its really helpfull. I'm sorry for being stupid. lmao
i'm play since 2020, and consider me as ''pro'' oni mid 2021, on my memories the material overlays already exists when i'm searched for something like. haha.
Qweef_Latifa 27 Jan @ 6:28pm
That dude sucks that called your mod useless. This one is a classic for ONI. Thanks for all your modding doodies dood :) @Swistak
Swistak  [author] 26 Jan @ 2:04pm
@Tealoc: This mod was created before materials overlay was added to the game. I'm using gas colors from the game so of course they will look similar. Still this mod compared to material overlay:

- Displays pressure as color intensity
- Displays high pressure (ear drums pop) with different color
- Replaces useless breathability overlay
- Is always there for you at F1
- Looks better (I know this is subjective)
Tealoc 16 Jan @ 5:19pm
Well, useless.. If u select materials overlay and check the gases, it show you exactly the same as the mod.. o.O
BleedingTreeFox 1 Jan @ 9:19am
Gr€€d the vanilla oxygen overlay gives you, specifically, a map of where dupes can breathe. Red is suffocating/holding breath, blue is kinda low, but survivable (thing high altitude, but not death zone), and teal is perfect breathing. Adding other gas colors obfuscates the message "people die here".
Gr€€d 28 Dec, 2024 @ 7:10pm
hey can anyone chime in on why the og game has the oxygen overlay the way it does and no gas overlay?
Crashed 2 Dec, 2024 @ 7:19pm
@Swistak
Breathability does indicate how much oxygen is available in a particular gas tile, and I believe breathing "Barely breathable" air causes stress to Duplicants.
MaximumEfficiency 28 Nov, 2024 @ 6:14am
surprised this isn't base game yet with how they've integrated Pliers and now added Bottle Inserters in their own way, this is so good.
SFC Gunny 25 Nov, 2024 @ 11:44am
Still works with the November update!
onebunchmugen 2 Aug, 2024 @ 11:46pm
Steam fails to download this and couple of other mods in workshop after Frosty DLC update thus they do not appear in game mod list.
TheGreen246 1 Jul, 2024 @ 6:52pm
samtoinette i think he was referring to the material overlay specifically, not the gas one
they're different
izkrucker 1 Jul, 2024 @ 4:58pm
is the mod bugged i cant launch the game with it enabled?
Stepver 28 Jun, 2024 @ 1:31pm
@Samtoinette press f4 and sellect gas
Samtoinette 3 Jun, 2024 @ 8:46am
This mod is a must-have for me.

@Fish n' Chips
It's not. The base games is how breathable the oxygen is, this mod shows the different gasses in different colors. It's more helpful if you're looking for a small pocket of hydrogen or polluted oxygen in a large quantity of oxygen.
Ace Pneuma 2 May, 2024 @ 3:29pm
Cool Mod. this mod is the gas overlay but it combines the oxygen density element for every unique gas with a distinguishable color. For example I have 2 polluted oxygen areas but the one with 5kg per tile is displayed with more of a greener lime color where as the other with 2kg per tile is a darker dimmer green.
Fish n' Chips 14 Apr, 2024 @ 7:31pm
This is apart of the base game now, there's a gas option in the material overlay view.
RAY 11 Apr, 2024 @ 3:06am
lol. Switched to a new computer and only just realized this isn't part of the basegame. Thank you very, very much for this incredibly useful mod.:steamhappy:
scitor 30 Nov, 2023 @ 7:37am
@Crimson after using this mod for some time I have to say it's absolutly no problem to see "breathability" at a glance, since higher density will be more intense. lighter colors means less density, just like irl.
@Swistak awesome mod, using since the beginning, thank you so much! is there a way to alter the colors used or is that from the game itself?
Crimson 13 Sep, 2023 @ 1:50pm
@Swistak the difference isn't in oxygen level but more for pressure level indicator, it's how I can tell if my base is running low on oxygen soon or not, dark blue means it's running low, blue means there is enough for a while and light blue means there is plenty

It's just easier to read with color coding than to check each block and how much oxygen it has
Swistak  [author] 10 Sep, 2023 @ 6:41am
@Crimson: There is no difference between "Very Breathable", "Breathable or "Barely breathable" for dupes. This vanilla indicator is only a misleading indicator of amount of oxygen in the tile - the same amount of oxygen spread among more tiles will appear "less breathable" than single tile with the same amount, and it will make no difference for your dupes.

@Makkli: Sorry, I don't have any plans to make it possible to go back to vanilla overview in-game. What's your scenario that you need it?
RAY 30 Aug, 2023 @ 12:23am
Hahahhaah
After many years I looked at my modlist and only just realized this was not an ingame function. So helpful. I literally don't imagine this game without it anymore.
Thank you a lot!!! :steamhappy:
Crimson 17 Aug, 2023 @ 3:16pm
I like this mod, but I just wish it had the color differentiation between "Very Breathable", "Breathable" and "Barely breathable" oxygen like in vanilla, with this mod it harder telling them apart
Makkli 13 Jul, 2023 @ 8:24am
Thank you for your work. I use so many of your mods. How out of scope/unreasonable would it be to make this toggleable or a separate overlay? I have use cases for both visual designs and I often wish I could switch between them in game.
gunsakimbo 22 May, 2023 @ 10:53am
Thank you, the mod not working has been bothering me! This is the first time that I have had a helpful interaction with any sort of "internet support" that actually resolved the issue!
crashfly 21 May, 2023 @ 10:34pm
These mods {install one or the other, not both} can force update other mods.

@crashfly and where do you do this?
crashfly 21 May, 2023 @ 4:39pm
@gunsakimbo - yes it does work on vanilla and the dlc.
force update the mod to fix your problem.
gunsakimbo 21 May, 2023 @ 3:36pm
does not work on new version.
BabaTamara 18 Apr, 2023 @ 3:14pm
This mod is a must have and once installed you'll never return back. Thanks Swistak!
Weapon X 31 Mar, 2023 @ 1:42pm
@Swistak, this mod is great, appreciate it! Would you consider making the overlay visible over drywalls as well?
View The Phenom 12 Mar, 2023 @ 11:11am
Appreciate the update after all this time. Thanks!
Swistak  [author] 5 Mar, 2023 @ 11:04am
@Mongolian-Beef: Okay, it's great that you see the improvement there!

@Bedna: Not sure what happened, there always have been some issues with Steam Workshop regarding item updates. Let me know if you need some extra help with getting it to work. The FAQ on the GitHub repository might be of some use for you.

Of course I will continue to support my mods for as long as possible with fixes and improvements. I'm always open to suggestions and contributions, just make sure to use GitHub for that.
Mongolian-Beef 5 Mar, 2023 @ 9:56am
New update looks great! It's much easier to see the difference between pressures
Bedna 5 Mar, 2023 @ 7:29am
The mod uninstalled by itself when I loaded in today, probably just need to reload the game or smthn but came here to see if anybody reported any bugs or smthn.
Why am I typing this, no other reason than to fill in on last non author comment. This has been one of the "standard" mods for years!
Thanks for keeping this thing alive!
Swistak  [author] 4 Mar, 2023 @ 12:48pm
@Daleimere: Thank you! I'm honored that this mod stayed with you all this time.
Daleimere 4 Mar, 2023 @ 10:23am
@Swistak been using this mod for years since my first day in ONI, thanks for the great work!!
Swistak  [author] 4 Mar, 2023 @ 8:04am
I have a small update for you (4.2.0):

Most notably the transition between gases and other elements are smooth too, not only between gases only. Also as many of you have noticed: the different between low pressure and medium was too little to distinguish, now it should be much more apparent.

@MegaJani: Thank you, I agree!
@Tactless Hog: Like MegaJani noticed - OxygenOverlay is practically useless, especially as I've just improved the distinction between high and low pressure.
@AlligatorScrublord: GasOverlay (this mod) looks better and is always there for you with a convenient shortcut, OxygenOverlay (vanilla) is simply wrong so it's good to replace it.

Let me know if there are any issues. I just want to remind everyone that the best place for bug report or feature requests is on GitHub.
