i try this mod with Long War of the chosen and the weapon upgrades are not working as intended, for example stocks still show the hability to spend all action to get more aim for next turn shoot, and autoloaders make the animation to reload beginning of turn, but they dont reload any ammo to weapon... so its not working for me. too bad. maybe is conflict with other mod i have. grimmy loot mod. or other

This is great, the normal overhaul wasn't playing nice (even with compatches) with my Lwotc game (Which itself has a ton of other stuff and compatches and so on. And I was hoping to be able to find THIS EXACT THING

For repeater: i recommended " [WOTC] Better Repeater Fixed " this mod change repeater to increases crit damage.
I think it's more in line with the nature of the repeater.

+ to what is written Autoloader should give, it also gives original ability to manually reload a weapon. Is it intended?

A scope shouldn't have an aim penalty for close range because you don't have to use it. You don't have to look through it.

Just finished a campaign with about 280 mods, this one included, and had no major issues! Thanks for putting this up.

(for what it's worth, I quite enjoyed the Stock -- I had a few very Overwatch-centric characters who happened to roll relevant perks, so this was a nice fit)

Hair trigger seems a bit OP like others are mentioning. Change to proc is too high + it procs on grazing shots.

Stock is underpowered considering most of the time you want to play offensively + there is penalty to overwatch shots. Especially when we compare to Scope from this mod: 5/10/15 aim for Scope vs. 10/15/20 aim for Stock. But Scope can be used offensively and defensively/on Overwatch shots.

Scope is perfect balanced I think.

I *think* you can prevent Insider Knowledge from appearing as a continent bonus by simply adding an XComGameData.ini with this:

[ResCard_InsideKnowledge X2StrategyCardTemplate]
bContinentBonus=false

It can still appear as a resistance order (AFAIK you can't disable them without touching templates), but you can simply use a different order.


This would be a quick useful fix until you make Insider Knowledge bonuses for these.

Also, I take it that it is intended that a hair-trigger-triggered's second shot doesn't trigger Headshot against the Lost?

While you are working on making Insider Knowledge work with this, would you consider making this mod remove it from the resistance order and contintent bonus pools? That would be a quick and hopefully easy fix to prevent continents from having such a disappointingly useless (besides expanded magazines) bonus.

Many WOTC mods do not have workshop tags, as it's surprisingly fiddly to add. Never use the tickboxes when searching or you will miss out on many great mods.

Dude considering when I search for wotc tactical suppressors it comes up with one green tag, and yours comes up with tactical suppressors and then also war of the chosen, I don't think you entered it right..

Fixed HairTrigger triggering every time. I fixed this some time ago in RPGO already but forgot to fix it here.
Insider knowledge is not supported atm. Its on my todo list for RPGO and once done i will update this mod too (hopefully i dont forget this time ;))

Sorry for not answering. Steam decided to kill my comment subscription of this mod. Happens unfortunatly from time to time.
in the XComRevisedWeaponUpgrades.ini of this mod you see many ini entries like

SCOPE_RANGE_CHANGE_BSC[0] =-5

[0] is the tile proximty and -5 is the aim bonus (or penalty in this case)

so

SCOPE_RANGE_CHANGE_SUP[10]=15

means a superior scope (_SUP) will add +15 aim when you are 10 tiles away.

The mod uses the basegame crit adjustment so you will find the config in the basegame config files for that.

So if a Scope is attached to say a Pistol... This would increase the effective range of the pistol, but decrease it's effectiveness at close range right? How detrimental is that for something like a pistol? How drastic is the change?

@Musashi, I think I can get it to work.

Could you tell me though, under [RevisedWeaponUpgrades.X2Ability_UpgradeAbilitySet] in your ini file, do the AIM_UPGRADE_BSC = 5, AIM_UPGRADE_ADV = 10 & AIM_UPGRADE_SUP = 15 give the scope a base upgrade and the range changes then adapt the aim bonus afterwards?

For instance, the basic scope gives a flat +5aim, yet being within 7 or less tiles removes 5 aim meaning you gain no bonus, and being 8-25 tiles away adds an additional 5 aim meaning a bonus of 10?

Is it possible to do purely with changes made to XComGame.int using Notepad++, or is the fact that you've overridden the vanilla X2WeaponUpgradeTemplate mean that it would require more extensive work?

Yes, I can appreciate that, but it's obviously not relevant to my issue. I reckon it's another one of those bothersome mod conflicts causing it, so I've just opted to cut the Hair Trigger from the mod and use the rest.

I played through roughly 2 campaigns with this mod and everything worked fine except for the Hair Trigger. It procs waaaaay too frequently(Almost every shot) even with the basic version. It also procs everytime on grazed shots, which makes it absolute bonkers crazy.

@DigThat: I don't really think that's necessary. I just went into the XComRevisedWeaponUpgrades.ini and commented out everything other than the Hair Trigger changes (since I play ABB and like most of those upgrade changes as they are), and it only took me a few minutes.
