I appreciate you trying and I love the miner. Thank you.

Ok, I took the workshop BP completely apart to track all the conveyors, and I cannot find a way for the ejectors to pull anything except through the sorters.

So unless there is a bug with how the sorters are behaving, I can't figure this one out.
Crimson 12 Apr @ 8:47pm
Seems to be working now, only time it throws out ore is when it gets full and there is ore in the drill storage. doesnt throw it out of the cargo container anymore :)
Spite  [author] 10 Apr @ 8:08pm
Ok, next things to check are the filters on the sorters. Can you check that the 3 sorters are set to "whitelabel" and filter only stone?

Also are you using any mods that may modify or interfere with conveyors or sorters?
Crimson 10 Apr @ 2:11pm
So I went ahead and spawned one in on creative, went to a lake and found a silicon deposit. First test, ejected everything... ice, silicon stone, so i used the menu command... no difference, i then went in and shut the blocks off individually... still everything out. Its parking/docking, recharging and unloading if it makes it back with any material. Goes to the job, carries out the job... its actually pretty impressive (to me anyhow..lol), all I need to do is get the mats back and its perfect! Not sure what to try next except to actually remove the blocks.
Spite  [author] 9 Apr @ 1:12pm
Hi Crimson, not sure what's happening there.
I just loaded up the blueprint and it seems to be behaving correctly for me.
Are you using toolbar 3, button 4 to toggle the group?

As for why iron is coming out, it could be that the sorter settings were lost during printing?
There should be 3 sorters set to whitelist stone.
Crimson 9 Apr @ 11:20am
I toggle the ejectors off but it still continues ejecting material including the iron ore an ice. Other than that this thing is a blast. Thank you!

Hey! Love your ships :)

Having an issue getting PAM to work though. It gets suck on "docking" and just goes back and forth forever.
Spite  [author] 13 Jul, 2022 @ 9:54am
Also, to make it easier to see what is happening outside of the menu, I normally turn down the opacity of the menus.

Hope that helps!

Hmm, one way to do it would be to use the gyroscope override.

Go into the Terminal Menu (press K) and click the eye next to the search bar that toe top left to show hidden items.

Find the gyroscopes and select them.

In the middle, where block options are there should be a checkbox option to turn the gyro overrides on/off.

Turn them on, and be ready to turn them off at a moment's notice!

then scroll down just a little until you can see the different directions to override (pitch, roll & yaw)

Choose one and try it (gently, and be ready to drag the slider back down again).

If that doesn't start un-capsizing the ship, try a different direction.

But go carefully, its easy to spin to fast and just end up doing cartwheels. Once you're almost upright again then turn of the gyro override.

Question - how do you recover when the ship has tipped over on its side with a load of ore?
Spite  [author] 21 Dec, 2020 @ 2:30am
No worries, just glad it was such a simple fix! :D
TeamBroken 21 Dec, 2020 @ 1:41am
That was it, I didn't have Scripts enabled. SMH. Thanks for the help once again.
Spite  [author] 21 Dec, 2020 @ 1:23am
Ok, so I just loaded one up and tested it, PAM works just fine for me.

In what way is PAM not working?

Just checking, did you remember to turn on the programmable block, (its turned off by default) and check that scripts are enabled in your game options?
TeamBroken 21 Dec, 2020 @ 12:21am
I can seem to get PAM to work anymore. I love your stuff and have used in the pass. I took a break from the game and now im back.
Spite  [author] 21 Dec, 2020 @ 12:08am
Yes of course! its all vanilla and there are only 2 scripts, one for LCD read outs and another for automated mining.
TeamBroken 20 Dec, 2020 @ 11:58pm
Does this still work?
Spite  [author] 1 May, 2020 @ 7:46am
Ahh ok, well if you're interested the author of the script, Keks, wrote a guide for it which you can find here:

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1553126390

Otherwise, glad you got it going, let me know if you need any other help and enjoy the ships!
HerpaDerp 1 May, 2020 @ 7:08am
I'm figuring it's the script since I managed to get it moving and drilling :)
Spite  [author] 1 May, 2020 @ 12:23am
Sure, what part of the ship is confusing?

Is it to do with using the script, or something about he ship itself?
HerpaDerp 1 May, 2020 @ 12:09am
Holy Necropost

I'm new to Space Engineers, and am looking round at various ship options, and spawned one of these in to test it out.

Just one question - How does it work?

Any chance of a brief guide for new players who love the looks of the ship but don't have a clue how to use them ;)
OOZ662 18 Jul, 2019 @ 10:13pm
Just noting that the problem occurs on the Ion variant as well; the junction that connects the three ejectors on each side is also connecting to the bottom port of the connector and thus directly to cargo. I fixed it by replacing the junction with a straight tube then attaching a junction with a curved tube on each side to point the ejectors down. This requires grinding off the little decorative armor bit covering the connection on the drill and is probably suboptimal since I assume it fills your borehole with stone and picks it back up. Hopefully I understand PAM's drop location settings.
Spite  [author] 7 Jun, 2019 @ 12:43pm
Hmmm, thanks I will have a look and fix that! have you only encountered this on the atmospheric version? (will check all three just in case)

Sorry for any lost Ore!
Whirling Manatee [Friendly] 6 Jun, 2019 @ 5:01pm
Hey Spite love the stuff as always. This is definitely an improvement over the old Quarry miner line.

Just wanted to let you know I found a minor problem with your ejectors on this particular build. There's a conveyor junction that is next to the connector ports on the side of the ship, which means your ejectors are able to pull from the main cargo of the ship, circumventing the sorters. I was able to fix it on my ship by moving the sorter one block over and using a little spaghetti to make sure there were no junctions touching either the drill or connector small conveyor ports.
Spite  [author] 28 May, 2019 @ 12:01am
Hi there, if you want to ship to dump everything except a certain ore, then you will have to change the settings on the sorters, not the program.

If you change them from whitelist only stone to blacklist only cobalt for example, then the ejectors will go from dumping stone to dumping everything except cobalt.

As for the flying faster thing, I'm not sure how to make it fly to and from job locations faster, you will have to ask the author of the script that one (link on the right under "required items"). However you can change the mining speed by looking at your centre cockpit LCD and using the commands on toolbar 3 to go to "behaviour settings" then "next", you should get a screen where you can change the work speed.

Hope that helps!
Sillybimmons1 27 May, 2019 @ 9:00pm
Almost forgot, how do I get my drone to fly faster than 10 m/s I changed the speed from 100 to 0 and it didnt help. p.s. I am not good at messing around with these scripts.
Sillybimmons1 27 May, 2019 @ 8:58pm
Can someone help me out with what I need to change in order to get exlusively cobalt ore and dump everything else I saw the :return :co in the pb code, but I am not sure where I need to put that to make it work.. thanks
Spite  [author] 27 May, 2019 @ 9:26am
No worries, enjoy! :steamhappy:
Gariot 27 May, 2019 @ 9:18am
Oh wow, that worked. So simple, stupid me :D Thank you and now excuse me, i have to build a fleet haha ;)
Spite  [author] 27 May, 2019 @ 9:12am
If you place one projector on the small rotor head, then set up the blueprint so the rotor heads are aligned it should build.

The projector just on top of the rotor is supposed to be the one with the blueprint for all the other projectors in it.
Gariot 27 May, 2019 @ 8:55am
Sounds like a nice idea and i tried to build that BP of the rotorhead but for some reason i cant "start" anywhere. No matter where i try it. I never used BPs alot, i donthave a lot of experience with them. Guess thats just survival things ... :D
Spite  [author] 27 May, 2019 @ 6:05am
hmmm, If you are using nanites/build&repair, you won't need to use the whole factory, but there is a small rotor head with projections for all the ships, maybe set up one of those somewhere i your base and you can print out whatever you like without having to set up more projectors?

Projectors: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1723974092
Gariot 27 May, 2019 @ 5:50am
Oh, okay. Thats sad :/ But i can add the projector myself, just thought it would be cool. Not a big deal :)
Oh and i dont use the merge block method. But maybe when i expand my base i give it a try :D
Spite  [author] 27 May, 2019 @ 5:41am
I did do that with my old collection, but it basically doubles the PCU load of the ships themselves, what you could do instead is dock the ship back to the merge block you build it from and turn on the projector for that, it should have the same affect without each ship having to carry an extra blueprint.

Would that be a workable solution for you?

Although I do have projectors in the interceptors, that is mostly to reload the missiles.
Gariot 27 May, 2019 @ 5:09am
Oh and i have an idea! How about you add a projector, off by default, so we can easily repair the ships! Especially the remote controlled drones often get a hit or two and i didnt notice ... :D Or there is so much destroyed that i dont want to puzzle it back to its former beauty. I would love to see my nanites repair my auto miners every time they visit the base :D
Spite  [author] 27 May, 2019 @ 1:22am
No worries, its a problem I had before too :steamhappy:
Gariot 27 May, 2019 @ 12:53am
Hmmm, good point. I remember in the PAM guide was something written to use an sorter after the Connector to get the ore out but since i use, indeed, Isys inventory manager, i didnt build one. I will build one and test it out. Thanks for your help and your cool ships! <3
Spite  [author] 27 May, 2019 @ 12:44am
Thanks, hopefully I will get a bunch more up soon!

Do you have a sorter after your Quarry Miner's connector to pull the ore out of it? usually this prevents stone from going into the miner while it is docked.

If you are ONLY using a script like Isy's Inventory Manager without a sorter on the miner dock, then problems like this can happen.

Hope that helps!
Gariot 26 May, 2019 @ 1:58pm
Hey! Loving your ships so far - im using 3 of them :D But this one sadly ejects everything from my base when i connect it. That means i cant let PAM eject unwanted stone :/ Is there a way around it? or to fix it?
