mod was fixed for 1.04 but the code is pretty spaghetti now. I want to refactor it to reduce bugs, simplify the conversation game, and allow other mods to plug in and provide opinion types, but I'm just low on bandwidth

I'm still getting walls of error text with every flirt interaction, the NoTakeFurniturem but I'm not using the mechanimist genome mod

Is it possible to add a limitation of some sort to which creatures can be flirted with? This seems to work for every single creature in the game, even ones with little to no intelligence. It can be jarring to go to pet a dog and see that you can flirt with it, especially when it then starts actually talking.

@LootGobbo The NotakeFurniture errors might be due to the Mechanimist Genotype mod, if you have that installed. It creates items that inherit from NotakeFurniture, which appears to have been removed in 1.0 or some relatively recent version.

Love the idea of seeing npcs be like 'X looks at you, they find this and that qualities ugly' roasting you.

Hope it updates and expands, Dating of Qud and all, see who can romance the oddest npc. (Slog x me 4 life XD)

Just curious before I add this, is it possible to have just friendly conversations or is this exclusively for pursuing romantic relationships? Can NPCs develop relationships with each other? Aaaand finally, sorry, but I'm curious if it's plausible for this dialogue tree mechanic to eventually generate new quests for those NPCs? It would be cool if it could turn into an Animal Crossing situation where you're running mundane errands like deliveries, fetching a resource... all the way to epic and dangerous quests depending on the situation/randomness.

I doubt this will be updated anytime soon, but quite interested to see if the newly added weighting modifiers for secrets can be adapted into this mod. Having each possible NPC possess a few personal opinions modifying their personal reputation towards the player based on more than just faction reputation could really expand the generated conversations (presence of or lack of certain mutation, presence or lack of cybernetics, specific worn objects/artifacts, lack of certain worn artifacts/objects, like/dislike of certain item mods besides just jewel-encrusted).

The game already mostly handles these sorts of interaction directly via the reputations system (and items that modify rep), but giving NPCs some personal opinions that may or may not agree with the NPC's faction's preferences could be VERY interesting... yea, my faction hates your guts, but I'm also VERY interested in plasma weapons, so maybe I'll deign to talk to you even though all my friends are still attacking you!

sorry to double comment, I just had to remark on what a good time I'm having with this mod. I'm apparently absolutely terrible at the conversation minigame, but it's so entertaining to mess with. I know the "sorry, I'm busy" patience mechanic is in part just to encourage serial conversations, but it always feels like I'm getting let down gently by whatever random snapjaw or albino ape or fish I ran into and it's SO funny. even without the actual romance and dating aspect, it feels nice to be able to just chat with the random arconaut I found 3 strata beneath the desert. just two guys treasure diving in a hole shooting the shit. this feels like what this game needed

I'm also having an issue with "you look nice" just closing the dialogue box altogether sometimes, but mine is only sometimes

Is there any chance this mod will be updated for the game's recent patch? I found errors in the dialogue, but the mod is one of the only ones that expands the game's dialogue options, being one of the most requested mods for roleplay in the game

i must be doing something wrong, when i talk to someone the "you look nice: begin flirting" option shows up but selecting it just causes the interaction box to close entirely. i have only seen the "lets chat" option once when interacting with the "a sopping lad" mod pet

Sorry for wall of text. I've managed to screencapture a few of the random errors not sure how to upload screenshots here but it starts with: System.ArgumentOutofrangeexception: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.

Played around for a bit with it tonight, seems that proselytizing and rebuking forces the relationship score to stay at 100 not sure if this is intentional or not, I released the two companions that kept trying to feed me the blank foods and went around testing with other creatures and it seems that the issue was localized to them and other companions would allow me to flirt with them normally though the relationship score would not change as long as I had them following me. I had two companions, Ciphifis and a glowpad offer to join me under my proselytize and when i removed the proselytize they did not stay as companions. I've tried a few dates and it will say that they arrived at the destination but I never see any relationship change. I've never been able to get the npcs to examine me like in the screenshot but I have had a few kisses that have imparted a xp boost.

Thank you so much for updating! Been excited to play around with this mod and your other mods as well. Haven't had time to test your other mods yet but there still seems to be some issues with this mod currently.
1. Talking to a companion always seems to result in a screen that says they made you a food to eat, but the food is always blank and has no effect, as far as I can tell you cannot flirt or do anything else with them as this always appears.
2. Refusing a gift or refusing to eat food, drops the relationship score down to heavy negative numbers resulting in them becoming permanently hostile.
If there is any testing or more information I can do to help you please let me know I'd would be happy to assist if I could. So far the actual talking and dialogue seems to be working great and I'm very excited to start some new playthoughs with your mods.

I've been able to get it to boot into game with the mod but there is quite a bit of breakage going on in dialogue, I see a lot of debug messages and strings. I love the idea of the mod and what i could see I even managed to get one of my proselytized followers into a full follower using it. The ideas and systems do seem extremely creatives and fun, I love love love being able to expand the interactions I can have with the denizens of qud.

Sorry for the amount of comments I have left, but this mod is amazing.
So my snapjaw companion was a no go. Just general disagreement concerning Cragsmench. So it goes-- ya know? Plenty of fish in the sea... Speaking of fish.. I tried to kiss a glowfish, but gaining his/her/its (?) desire was all deceit. Within a ruin, this random glowfish had the exact same opinions on Cragsmench as old snapjaw. So I rolled with it, essentially lying and picking all the right answers and gave the things I knew the fish wanted. I usually don't kiss and tell, but figured I would mention I got an error at the point of it all getting hot and heavy. Talk about a tease.

I do not have the error, but if I encounter more I could send em to your github?

This mod is great. The emergent gameplay is ... awesome. I wanna say that this mod takes the place of beguiling mutation, or even domination, proselytize.. Even Sifrah, and I love that mod.

Perhaps it is the "mods.csproj" file? My computer wigged out, blew sparks and steam came out of the sides when it saw that file. Otherwise, looking forwards to marrying my mutated snapjaw companion that has made it thru thick and thin despite being snapjaw.

FYI, I installed it manually via downloading the zip from github and it worked fine. I guess the Workshop version is just borked.
