So I'm having a bit of a problem with this weapon firing using the script. I put it on the ship and attached a designator to it, and it tracked fine. I also loaded it with shells, including the gun itself, but it WILL NOT fire at a target on its own, even with a round in the gun's breech. It only fires if I trigger it through the gun or control seat. This test was done in Creative.

@chris, i tested, its more of a problem with a new update and that the mod it uses is older, replace the gun with a vanilla or other weapon and it should work.

It should just fine, but you'll have to do all the binding since this comes premade for Whip's other script. :)

It's seems to be cockeyed to the grid when you try and level it, i free dropped in on to a grid and attached a battery to the back to level it, copied and pasted it back in, then it would connect ok. Thanks man.

Perhaps the turret is angled slightly overlapping hitboxes and preventing the paste? Try adjusting the elevation rotor and see if you can get it attached then.

I can't get this to mount to anything, small grid or small rotor head on a large grid. I have all your other weapons mounted, but this one is just refusing to join the party

Check out the turret group. There should always be
1) A gun(guns), in this case the M5B modded cannon
2) Elevation and Azimuth Rotors
3) A Designator turret (any AI turret works)

If that is so I will see if I can convert this into it. It may be apparent I don't really do work with mods so I just picked this off on appearance. Thanks for the suggestion!

If the drop off of the 120mm gun is too much for long range sniping, may I reccomened using AWG's M5B 150mm cannon? It has a much higher muzzle velocity and an explosive shell to boot, much better suited for killing drones. Fantastic turret design though, I really like the drums at the back :)

It will fire but yeah its accuracy suffers sadly, hence my suggestion to use it as an ambush weapon if at all possible.

I've actually tried making a MAC cannon as an ground to LEO weapon but I wasn't able to steady the platform. It did detect, but the script, and mass of the gun led to it constantly swaying and over-adjusting rendering it hopefully inaccurate when it did eventually fire... mid sway...

Sadly, I also found the script only works with direct fire weapons. Can I suggest a HALO style mac gun?
