Это же мод, и в обысной циве даже с длс такого нет?
flom 4 Mar, 2018 @ 5:29am
Ну и в Пскове тоже было вече.
flom 4 Mar, 2018 @ 5:28am
Киевская Русь владела Новгородом при Ярославе, но вече как гос. орган был только в Новгородской республике.
Tomatekh  [author] 3 Mar, 2018 @ 2:26pm
Киевская Русь под Ярославом включала Новгород, поэтому у мод есть Вече (Гугл переводчик)
flom 3 Mar, 2018 @ 5:16am
Киевская Русь и вече? Очень странно.

The colors originated from the Coat of Arms of the Kingdom of Rus (~ AD 1200) and the specific trident design is that of Vladimir the Great (AD 958 - 1015); neither originated with modern Ukraine and it is historically correct for me to use both for a Kievan Rus' mod. Regardless, this is the Gods and Kings version of the mod which is no longer supported. The Brave New World version already uses a different version of the seal.
Insurgent Korrah 18 Jul, 2016 @ 2:19am
Tomatekh, you made it almost equal to the modern emblem with exact the same colors, and wonder why players say this is Ukraine xD
Had to make it with red color like the banners of the ancient Rus http://www.pravmir.ru/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/image008.jpg
ДжониДоДеп 12 May, 2016 @ 11:38am

Kyivan Rus' was a Ukrainian state. I wrote a paper on it. Though I don't feel like uploading to steam. I'll say that the reason for Rus' being ukrainian is that, Kyiv founded by Polianian tribe, which is known to be the ancestors of modern Ukrainians. Most of Kyiv's agriculture came from modern Ukraine, north of Kyiv are forests and marches unsuitable for intensive farming. Also I don't remember the exact number but the vast majority of religious centers of any significance were located in modern Ukraine, not even Greater Ukraine.

That Senses when a foreigner knows about my story more than I do.
Tomatekh  [author] 12 Aug, 2015 @ 6:06am
It's not the emblem of Ukraine. The specific sigil used is that of Yaroslav, the leader used in the mod. The sigil, like most of the Rurik crests, are similar to the modern Ukrainian trident (because the modern symbol is derived from them), but they are not identical designs.
Serega_psixopat 12 Aug, 2015 @ 5:52am
Why Emblem of Ukraine?Russia and Ukraine did not exist.
Mr. Ken Tucky 23 Jul, 2015 @ 12:59pm
Actually you are correct. Apologies
Tomatekh  [author] 23 Jul, 2015 @ 10:22am
To be fair, this isn't meant to be a mod of the Ukraine state but of Kievan Rus'. Cossacks date to the 14-15th centuries while the Kievan Rus' state fell to the Golden Horde in the 1240s.
Mr. Ken Tucky 23 Jul, 2015 @ 9:35am
Only mod of ukraine for G&K and no cossacks on it :c

This is the version for the Gods and Kings expansion, if you're using Brave New World (or both expansions), you need to use the Brave New World version found at:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=89653704
The two vesion have slightly different abilites, due to changes between the expansions. There is no version that is for just vanilla civ without any expansions (sorry).
Усатый Хряк 5 Mar, 2014 @ 12:53pm
long I waited the native land it well that you added it))

The second sentence of the description...
Pontifex 17 Oct, 2013 @ 3:57pm
Is this available for BNW yet?
Ninja Slayer 21 Sep, 2013 @ 10:27am
Nowgorod had constitutional monarchy, like in UK.
Tomatekh  [author] 21 Sep, 2013 @ 9:15am
I know the Rus' princiaplities where independant for most of their existance. However, many of them were united for a time under Valdimir and later Yaroslav. Yaroslav himself was Grand Prince of Novgorod, Rostov, and Kiev.
Ninja Slayer 21 Sep, 2013 @ 9:11am
Novgorod was an indepent state!
Tomatekh  [author] 20 Sep, 2013 @ 3:49pm
Firaxis indicated they will make music easier to add to mods with the next patch (at the moment it requires replacing files). Once that's released I will be adding music to all of my mods.
DrakenX999 15 Sep, 2013 @ 12:44pm
But the civ isn't just Kiev, it's the entirety of the early Rus' principalities including Novgorod, etc, which did have Veche.
Ninja Slayer 15 Sep, 2013 @ 10:12am
& one more: Varyags & vikings are the same!
Ninja Slayer 15 Sep, 2013 @ 10:10am
Kiev... A great city! But there were no Veche there.
Kye 13 Sep, 2013 @ 5:59pm
good
Tomatekh  [author] 11 Sep, 2013 @ 11:03am
It's no problem. I appreciate the heads up. I only saw Irkalla's post about two days ago myself.
lockstep 11 Sep, 2013 @ 8:26am
Ah ... sorry for the noise.
Tomatekh  [author] 11 Sep, 2013 @ 7:45am
Yes, thank you. I've incorporated it into the BNW version of the mod, but unfortunetly it can't also be done with the G&K version as it requires the Great Works of Art XML tag.
lockstep 11 Sep, 2013 @ 7:10am
Irkalle has recently found an XML-only way to remove buildings from the City View and Civilopedia: See here [forums.civfanatics.com].
Tomatekh  [author] 8 Sep, 2013 @ 2:20pm
Thanks. Only the Hittites and Timurids still need an update to be playable, which I should get to by early next week. Then I'll probably go back and re-adjust/edit the abilities of the individual mods based on BNW feedback. I will also be releasing a new civ sometime this week or next as well.

I few people said that they preferred for me to update the original download to the BNW and then re-post the G&K version, which is what I've been doing. That way there's no need to resubscribe, although I understand it might be annoying for people not planning on upgrading to BNW.
Mothistopheles 8 Sep, 2013 @ 1:17pm
Awesome, this one and Sumer were my favorites. Looking forward to the rest coming out for BNW.
