@Ranger Thanks for the kind words.On the Norfolk, you can remove the vanilla missile tubes on the port and starboard sides and replace them with the weaponcore homing missiles. There should be plenty of room.

Hey Wildcard I love your designs and how real and organic they feel. The Norfolk is one of my new favorite toys now but i tried out the Virginia you just made and the only thing with that is i like the tech overhaul with the mods. Those missles and combat sitop especially. Ive only just tried those so i dont know how i would incorporate them into the Norfolk because i love having the hangar space on it.

Thanks @eVo! I can't take credit for the programming, that honor goes to all the script writers.

The missiles run on the Diamond Defense Script, so they fire automatically. They did mention that in the future, there will be a way to assign targets and manually fire missiles. For now, it's missile spamming.

Right now, you can stop the missiles from firing if you turn off the missile welders.

Just two questions.. (kinda new to those missile thing..)
Is there any way to launch the Guided Missiles Tubes by hand or even assign them a target?
Tried almost every command-seat but sadly those runs just automaticly if the targets are to close..
thought about to launch them a bid further..

Annd is there anyway to create a auto-destroy on those missile?
hat a long fight and the world was flooded with these missiles xD

Great Ship, quick question about an issue: In the Bay Hangar Connector 3 keep getting offline even if I manually turn it on (after a while it will go again offline) any idea?

Yup, that was it. First time I glanced at it I thought it said Horizon indicator, as in a HUD improvement :) Got to space with that off. Thanks.

Hmm, I'll check for that. I did wonder about scripts, and I do have them inabled in this run, but didn't see any mention of much in the way of scripts (though I do like the airlocks :) ) in your description. I'll let you know what I find

The only theory I can offer is that there's a programming block with the Whip Gravity leveling script that will hold the ship level in a natural grav well. Perhaps turning that off will help?
Beyond that I have no idea.

Just to be more specific, I'm launching from Earth. I can turn the Gyros off and the ship seems to tilt, but that's the best I can manage. I'm using Atmo thrusters and hydrogen thrusters to get up currently.

Quick query. I've built your beautiful cruiser in survival, though still missing some Ion thrusters (Waiting to space mine some gold & platinum). However as I launch I can't seem to turn the Gyros off override to control the ship. Do you happen to know if this is related to your vessel? I can't seem to find an error by Googling for generic Space Engineer issues like that with Gyros, though problems turning them on crops up a few times.

Thanks @r.gibbon for the constructive criticism. Feel free to modify the ship as you like. The concept I had was that it needed to go anywhere and act as an autonomous light Carrier/Cruiser. I also had mods in mind, so the layout of the connectors allow for a variety of larger guns from various mods.

This is a great ship. It has a beautiful, functional aesthetic, fully equipped crew compartments, a good balance of weapons, thrusters and hanger space. For my money, I would swap some of the armoury blocks for beds. 12 (unless I miscounted) seems like a rather low crew for a ship of this size, particularly given it has hangers so there need to be berths for the pilots of the small ships.
I love the turret layout, but I feel that a cruiser needs an offensive weapon system, like a guided missile, grav cannon or serious rocket launcher array. I think this excellent ship deserves some teeth.
I think the design can afford to sacrifice atmospheric operation for these, and to achieve better performance in space. It can't carry many people to the surface, and it has ample space for shuttles that could still do that job.
