Word of advice edible animals that have been set on fire should drop cooked food items instead of turning to ash

having a herd of beefalo suddenly light on fire durring the summer is hilarious however not being able to get any cooked meat out of the incident is down right infuriating

I love this mod, but every summer a bird lands in my camp and autoignites, some reason my flingomatics don't give a shit, and suddenly the camp is burning out of control.

I have an issue, of sorts. If you burn creatures with this mod active, they leave ash piles instead of their proper drops, ie they turn to ashes instead of cooked meat/teeth/etc. This includes things that are set on fire via hounds or lightning.

excellent. this should have been in DS from the start.

is there going to be the possibility to have creatures set alight in any fashon to drop cooked meat? that would give reason to go torching penguins in a quarking, pannicky blaze of tuxedo's and fear! or for penguins i suppose the possibility of cooked eggs?

I understand what you're saying, and I even agree with it, and maybe one day I might do that but for now it's far too much work(and WAY too much testing) for a mod that was never intended for serious/balanced gameplay in the first place. I have too many other projects I'm working on. So don't think of this as a "no", it's more like a "not right now".

Hah, a bird landed on my campfire, caught fire and burned to death xD. free meat!
Dumblefish 27 Jan, 2014 @ 10:15am

@Ronnie
Yes pig houses will burn down too if that's what you're asking.
Obi-ron 18 Jan, 2014 @ 10:17pm
does it affect pig houses?
Catch 34 21 Dec, 2013 @ 4:10pm
Will there be a feature eventually that doesnt cause everything to just drop ash? An ignited beefalo turning into a single pile of ash is a little Gomorran for me.
Dumblefish 7 Dec, 2013 @ 1:06pm
its amazing

FIRE FIRE FIRE

I think this mod is great for serious gameplay, you have to actually think before you use fire, like you do in real life, really love it.

@ratgirl34
I'm aware of that. That's why I wrote, "seriously funny but not intended for serious gameplay" in bold in the description. Perhaps I should underline it too.
ratgirl34 29 Sep, 2013 @ 11:40pm
If I were out to burn... Everything, this would be a great mod. But it's not very useful if you want to actually get items from the things you burn. Unless you really like charcoal and ash.
Motariz 29 Sep, 2013 @ 2:35am
