@Tomatekh I came back to the game mainly for the nostalgia, but on Iska and Ismet's Stones to Stars/Empires Ascendant, the game is so much fun; I'm hooked. I've ran that with this mod and it's so much fun. Thank you for providing me that experience, and there is always a place in my games.

@Dragonxxx
Thanks! I'm glad people are still enjoying my mods after all these years! I actually agree that this civ is overtuned. My perspective on the game's balance has changed since when I first released my mods, and there's a handful of my civs that I look back on and would like to release one last balance update. Unfortunately, I no longer have my original mod files so I'm unable to release updates for them anymore. Still, I'm happy people can find a place for them in their games.

This mod is amazing. Quite OP to me, but amazing regardless.

Will this mod work with Yet Not Another Earth Pack (or whatever its called), the TSL map pack?
Zorwasa 30 Apr, 2018 @ 1:26pm
Oh yea, it might be smart AI that fcks it up?
borussia1979 30 Apr, 2018 @ 7:58am
thanks to the author, great mod.
Tomatekh  [author] 30 Apr, 2018 @ 6:10am
I'll look into it. However, the AI has always worked normally in my tests and no one has ever reported that issue to me before.

Are you using any other mods which might be causing a conflict?
Zorwasa 30 Apr, 2018 @ 4:58am
When the Ai is playing, they don't build the worker unit, doesn't the ai work with this mod or is it a bug?
The World is a Sandbox 17 Dec, 2017 @ 1:33am
It has served me well to stay clear of Civ mods that have brief mentions of bugs in the Comments sections. They will likely break your game (learned the hard way). But it's only fair to turn it around: I've played with this mod forever and with all kinds of set-ups (Community Balance Patch, etc). Never had a problem. Recommend.

How far away does a civ/citystate need to be for it to not show up on ur map?

This civ was a lot of fun. All the bonuses are available in the Ancient Era, and the UU being a Worker meant it was useful all game. I can definitely recommend this one.
Tomatekh  [author] 5 Feb, 2016 @ 2:28pm
For people who use Brave New World and my various “Cradle of Civilization” civ mods, Harappa is now also available as part of pack that collects Sumer, Harappa, Xia, & Caral and my Cradle City-States pack.

Hmm, it's working in my tests. I'll look into it and see if I can figure out if anything would cause a conflict and not fire.

anyhow the UA is not working for me, besides great work!

I will look into it, thanks.

This is a great mod and I congratulate your effort. However, will there be Red's Xtreme mod pack size for the units? It seems off that the workers are massive compared to the others.
Tomatekh  [author] 1 Nov, 2015 @ 10:02am
v.45

- E&D adjustments

Should not impact existing games/saves.

v.43

Sorry about another update so soon. JFD added an additional step needed for sovereignty support and it’s best if I fix the support in the mod sooner rather than later. I’m not sure if v 43 will cause any problems with 42, but I’ve left a 42 download at the bottom of the description just in case.
Tomatekh  [author] 11 Sep, 2015 @ 9:42am
v.42
-Mod compatibility update (EE; Cul Div; Cul Inf; Sovereignty; Mercenaries; Garamantes update overlap)

If you need the previous version (40) to continue a save, a download link is at the bottom of the description.
Tomatekh  [author] 9 Jul, 2015 @ 6:49am
Thanks! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the redesign! The old design never really clicked with me, but it's personally one of my favorites out of my own civs now.
Mojave Neon 6 Jul, 2015 @ 8:03pm
I definitely like this version of the civ better than the old one. The bullock cart as a worker replacement really provides great value. Loved pretty much everything about this version of this civ.
Tomatekh  [author] 28 Jun, 2015 @ 4:09pm
v.40
-Mod compatability updated
--Trade Colont decision replaced with Indus Script decision
-Music reverted to previous peace track to avoid overlap
-UU priced the same as a standard worker; UB no longer has maintenance on rivers
-Misc code clean up

Hey everyone, I’ve released a new civ for Brave New World:

Xia - Erlitou (Brave New World)
MadHighlander 8 Apr, 2015 @ 8:12pm
I feel like you should be made aware of the work of Walter Ashlin Fairservis, who did some translation work on the Indus script back in 1992. He translated one of the seal tablets (MD 1937 420) as "Anil the Ruler, He who Gathers the Assembled Clans". Sounds like an appropriate dude to be a civ leader, no?

Or, if that's not a good name, you could also take from seal MD 1931 190, "Mark of Chief Kurvillanor", or MD 1931 30, "The Foremost One Nurumunar, First Guardian".

Just a suggestion. I thought it was something you ought to know when doing something like this.

v.35
The civ has recieved a large ability and art overhaul! I know a few people didn't like the previous version so let me know how the new one works out.
-The UU is the main change, now replacing a worker. It has a unique ability to help you earn gold as well as trigger we love the king days for growth.
-Fantastic new UU and UB icons by the amazing Sukritact.
Anonymouspurveyor 15 Feb, 2015 @ 9:45am
You can just edit the xml file for the bullock cart and remove the negative promotions which make it so annoying. I did, and it works just fine now. I think the civ is kind of underwhelming when compared to other modded civs, but they have a few nice bonuses and a nice tsl on ynaemp
DrakenX999 10 Feb, 2015 @ 8:54pm
The net UU movement ends up exactly the same as a regular scout. It gets +1 movement in open terraint, -1 movement in rough terrain. A map is never more than 50% rough terrain so the combination of the movement bonus and penalty cancels each other out. It just feels like it has worse movement because you notice it more when it's only moving one tile in rough terrain and don't really pay attention to it moving that extra tile in open terrain. So the movement is different from a regular scout, not worse. The only real penalty it has is that it can't attack, which is whatever, I'll take being able to move my army to attack enemy cities quicker over a weak scout attack anyway.

Though, I guess it doesn't matter, the author has said in his civfanatics thread that he's revamping the civ once he gets the art together. So the abilities probably won't be the same after the update.
