a little nod to bhamiltox from the future *(a PC almost keeping 20fps) - Interlinked. Total dedication, thank you for what is clearly months of graft and late nights. Beets coaster. No question.

WOW! Watched the clip after I posted and was blown away. Love how the ride timed the part when Leon shoots the guy giving him the Voight Kampff Test. The detailing outside JF Sebastian's home actually looked like the film. Even the parked truck that Pris fall into and breaks the window is there! Fun fact: The actress plating Pris, Daryl Hannah, wasn't meant to break the glass and actually cut her hand pretty bad. In fact, she needed stitches, it was that bad. Also, loved the photo taken from the top of Bryant's office, with the old newspapers and rubbish, exactly like the film. Anyway, you really capture the look and atmosphere of the film. Remarkable work.

Scott was heavily influenced by the work of the brilliant French artist, the late Jean Giraud Moebius. Sadly, he's not widely recognised for heavily influencing science fiction. He also worked on the film, the 5th Element, which incorporates an iconic futuristic city design that is now commonplace.

Absolutely stunning. The brutalist architecture of Deckard´s apartment is still my favorite if I have to pick one of..Wait.. it is the stairwell at JF Sebastian´s...too many...
And you captured it splendidly. My hat tip to you master bhamilto1x.

Great job, you are sure a fan of Ridley Scott's Blade Runner !

Those streets are an exact replica (as best I could get from photographs) of the Warner Brothers sets used to film the movie, including the layout of the two main streets and each of the buildings. In the movie, you don't notice it because they don't show any long shots (except for shortly in the Zhora sequences).

I really loved the movie - so maybe I'm biased. I've seen many dark rides, but this one is right up there - with the others. As I said, the detail is amazeballs!

PlanCo has had these issues since day one - and it mainly has to do (from my outside, layman perspective) with draw-calls. The screens - sure, that might be also a thing. Frontier somehow refuses to migrate this to DX12 or Vulcan - at best because the bottleneck is somewhere else, at worst because it's too expensive to do (engine wise, it's not THAT trivial if you truly want to leverage low-level APIs). They know their stuff - it's their engine, but they are also very resourceful.

So yeah, my new Ryzen 3600X does it's best and I totally saw a performance increase - on my old 1600X this would have been a slideshow.

I went on a stroll and had a decent look at the streets, followed a mechanic all the way to Tyrell Corp - I could have sworn you incorporated sound-bites from the movie into eeeeevery corner :TongueGuest:

LOL - Yeah - even on my i7 gtx1080ti machine, some areas were 13 FPS. This ride basically got out of control in size and complexity and essentially overwhelmed PC - I even had to reduce a lot of the original detail in the line and welcome areas to get the FPS up a bit. The limiting factor was CPU, not graphics. It seems to have something to do with PC managing certain assets. I assume it isn't people because the issue happened even with nobody in the park. I have a sneaky feeling it is about managing video screens. I used these heavily to get most of the city textures. I suspect PC is computing if someone is looking at those (even if nobody around to look) and this is creating the problem, but just a guess.

Incredible! The best 11 fps experience i've ever seen in PlanCo! (no sarcasm, but true)
The detail in each scene is breathtaking =)

As a creator too , i should say, Great Work ! lighting is perfect, it is a lot of work, hours, nights and month, but when we have passion for this we just do it the best possible. The last one i made " the haunted castle " took me more than 6 month. you can check on my workshop ;)

This is incredible.......You've managed to recreate the atmosphere of the film in one ride. My hat goes out to you, WOW........Congratulations.

Thanks for all the comments today. I was really focused on maximum realism including not only the models and scenery but the lighting. Despite having a conceptual idea how to create the lighting I wanted, it took a lot of trial and error to get it just right on so many scenes, and particularly to match the movie. It is pretty incredible what you can achieve with planet coaster in terms of realism/lighting.
PinkPancakes 17 Jul, 2019 @ 11:35am
How do you make stuff like this? This is INCREDIBLE!
obv 17 Jul, 2019 @ 11:26am
probably the best ride in planet coaster absolutely amazing
tricktrack 17 Jul, 2019 @ 9:36am
There have been a lot of amazing works posted on here. But this one takes the cake and runs with it! This is probably the most amazing thing created with Planet Coaster.
The way you manage to lead us through the scenes is spectacular and flawless.
The lighting and the sound mixing is incredible! The atmosphere in the Tyrell Pyramid room is just like the movie!
I was seriously expecting the car to stop in Deckard´s flat to spend five minutes in front of the video enhancing machine.

Thanks Artificial Artist - I had that quote in the ride, but had to edit it out because otherwise the minimal critical dialog for that scene didn't end until you were actually finished with even the next scene - It is challenging to net out an entire movie in only 7 minutes of music and dialog!
ArtificialArtist 16 Jul, 2019 @ 1:03pm
"Do you like our Owl?" "Is it artificial?"
This movie still tops my all-time favourites to this day.
Thumbs up!
