@Daxtеr Hey! Yeah sure thing!
Daxter 23 Jun, 2022 @ 5:48am
hello, can I contact you directly or any of the builders who make models of buildings for Steam workshop? I need to ask/talk about something. It's fast. (perhaps this comment will be ignored, I won't be surprised)
Smokki  [author] 14 Nov, 2021 @ 10:55pm
@Voronjo Thank you, it's a bit outdated these days but clad you liked it :)
Voronjo 14 Nov, 2021 @ 8:20am
Очень хорошая база, спасибо авторам
Captain Redbeard 8 Sep, 2021 @ 10:50pm
cheers! I'll let you know if and when it becomes a thing ;)
Smokki  [author] 8 Sep, 2021 @ 10:26am
@Captain Redbeard Nice! Absolutely, go ahead! I originally also had some ideas to use this for some kind of scenario so it would be very interesting to see what kind of PvP scenario you come up with :)
Captain Redbeard 8 Sep, 2021 @ 9:24am
Hi Smokki, I've been inspired by your map to design a pvp scenario using Port Argos as the battlefield over a contested Platinum deposit. If you're curious, I can publish it and send you a link when it's ready.
Smokki  [author] 29 Jul, 2021 @ 10:44pm
@A Blue Haired Fox Oh I see. Well I have a new world ready very soon, so when that's released, take a look around the various buildings to check out different techniques I use for detailing, etc. There are so many different ways I use blocks for example that just trying to describe them would be a bit hard. In short I just often try out different ideas until something looks nice enough.

@sjne216 Cool! Gotta test it out later today :)
Master Chief; John-117 29 Jul, 2021 @ 5:52pm
IT HAS BEEN COMPLETED! here it is
ABlueHairedFox 29 Jul, 2021 @ 4:52am
Ah, what I'm asking for are some techniques you use for detailing and such! How you use the different blocks in your builds.
Smokki  [author] 29 Jul, 2021 @ 4:50am
@sjne216 Take your time with it, one should never make a work from something that should not be a work :P

@A Blue Haired Fox Well the best lesson I can really give is the one I'm using myself: Look around for some inspiration, an idea that you like, etc. and then just start building something similar but coming up with new improvements and ideas until it doesn't even properly resemble about what that source of inspiration looked like :)
ABlueHairedFox 29 Jul, 2021 @ 4:37am
Howdy! Seeing that your building style is becoming SE's "official" building style, I wanna learn it! Is there any way I can get some building lessons from ya?
Master Chief; John-117 28 Jul, 2021 @ 4:45pm
Never Mind some how when i got rid of a few unnecessary Mods i fixed the sim speed
thanks Space engineers Gods :)
Master Chief; John-117 28 Jul, 2021 @ 4:30pm
its probobly goeing to be a little bit i have a problem with the sim speed on it that popped up out of nowere so... but if you want i can post the one with sim speed trubbles :) i'll update the world if i find a fix ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Master Chief; John-117 18 Jul, 2021 @ 2:00pm
Thanks :)
Smokki  [author] 18 Jul, 2021 @ 12:11pm
Yeah go ahead :) I have no problem with that.
Master Chief; John-117 18 Jul, 2021 @ 7:14am
if your okay with me posting that (I will also ask all the other authors) :selike:
Master Chief; John-117 18 Jul, 2021 @ 7:13am
i also made a world with a modded planet that has a pretty big colony with a lot of your buildings from both this world and your Carcosa valley with a power grid using power tethers and the reactor from sunset valley and many other mods and a few satellites from other authors! its basically just a mish mash of different peoples items :)
Master Chief; John-117 18 Jul, 2021 @ 7:07am
ok cool
Smokki  [author] 17 Jul, 2021 @ 11:47am
@sjne216 Well I'm working on something else that I'll be releasing soon and I don't really have any plans to update this at the moment. If you want to, go ahead and rework the world as much as you like to :)
Master Chief; John-117 17 Jul, 2021 @ 10:27am
and if you don't want to i could update it for you if your okay with that :)
Master Chief; John-117 17 Jul, 2021 @ 10:25am
Do you have any plans to update it, as the performance is much better :steamhappy:
Master Chief; John-117 12 Jul, 2021 @ 12:41pm
ok cool :steamhappy:
Smokki  [author] 11 Jul, 2021 @ 8:35am
Ah yes, never really got around to that. Had some plans for underground labs down bellow, but the whole place begun to be already quite performance heavy at the time.
Master Chief; John-117 11 Jul, 2021 @ 7:14am
i have a question, is the biodome supposed to not be completed or did you just never get around to it?
Blaze 3 Jun, 2021 @ 7:58am
yeah, but there are not that many bases really, especially ones that are this good.
Smokki  [author] 3 Jun, 2021 @ 7:28am
Well there are lot's of really awesome worlds out there :) And this is quite high up there.
Blaze 3 Jun, 2021 @ 6:21am
hey, i cant belive this still isnt the top worlds on workshop
Smokki  [author] 24 Apr, 2021 @ 10:07am
@wolfpackalpha8 Almost never released this world because I just kept doing the same thing :P
Wolfpackalpha8 23 Apr, 2021 @ 5:52pm
you should not have aloud the silos to explode as i am a demo person and i blow stuff up
Smokki  [author] 5 Dec, 2020 @ 11:10pm
@BinaryKiller Recoded For the whole base? There are many individual buildings in there, so if you want to have a blueprint of something specific, feel free to make such on anything you like :)
BinaryKiller Recoded 5 Dec, 2020 @ 5:43am
Blueprint variant?
Blaze 6 Nov, 2020 @ 11:42am
an update would be really nice! I'll look forward to that
Smokki  [author] 6 Nov, 2020 @ 11:40am
@MonPetitOiseau Thank you :) It's starting to be a bit outdated these days and I wish I had the time to update it, but it's really nice to hear that my creations have been of inspiration.
MonPetitOiseau 6 Nov, 2020 @ 8:10am
This is MINDBLOWING ! I was exploring in for like 2 hours and this is by far the most amazing world i've ever seen. The lore is wonderfull, all the sections are awesome, esspecially this automatic vehicle manufacturing machine. Also all the interiors are really really nice!
Smokki you are my biggest source of inspiration in SE thank you so much for all this hard work!
Blaze 12 Aug, 2020 @ 7:26am
yes yes
very good smokki
Cant wait for more
Smokki  [author] 12 Aug, 2020 @ 7:25am
@AngryDragon Thanks, that's some really nice feedback. I personally like exploring and lose myself in very complex builds, but it's true that for gameplay reasons these could be simplified quite a lot.
AngryDragon 10 Aug, 2020 @ 12:48am
Overwall, I'd say good work, but there are a few things that you should keep in mind for future builds. It's a labyrinth. Many of the locations get really confusing, especially since there's a lot of elements that get repeated throughout the build. It's hard to find your way in and out of some of the buildings, especially since they tend to only have one exit. Having more airlocks would help, but the one thing that would really work wonders is to vary the volumes more, especially in the connecting spaces as that would help define the space and guide the user. Colors could also help a lot.
Blaze 8 Jul, 2020 @ 1:05am
thanks for that!
Smokki  [author] 7 Jul, 2020 @ 11:58pm
@Blaze It's looking pretty good from the outside :) One thing that I would do is to include a bit more color in it to add a bit more depth in certain parts. For example the segment dividers could be a bit darker than then segments itself so the whole build would stand out more.

One thing that I use a lot to add detail (both exterior and interior) is to add slightly ground down armor blocks as "air ventilation ducts". All kinds of small detail can do wonders, though it's important to not go too far. Generally if a wall looks a bit too bland, try to see if you can make it look more interesting.

Hope this helps :)
Blaze 5 Jul, 2020 @ 1:49am
hey, can you give me some tips on how to Improve on this base i made a while ago?
Smokki  [author] 28 Jun, 2020 @ 10:46am
I do have something that I'm going to release soonish. Rover, with trailer, with a miner :P All in one pack. And I would love to make some simple survival start with those so I might combine it into a world.
Blaze 28 Jun, 2020 @ 10:35am
hey quick question, can we expect any more AGI stuff or are you just building for keen from now on?
Blaze 24 Jun, 2020 @ 12:37pm
But it will still be nice to have it on the workshop.. Jut sayin :steamhappy:
Smokki  [author] 24 Jun, 2020 @ 12:14pm
It's pretty much just few buildings quickly put together for a scene. But you can find the awesome pods and few other things used in the trailer from here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/id/bruceleedleleedleleedlelee/myworkshopfiles/?appid=244850
Blaze 24 Jun, 2020 @ 12:03pm
will the mars outpost be uploaded?
Smokki  [author] 24 Jun, 2020 @ 11:06am
Thanks :)
Blaze 24 Jun, 2020 @ 11:05am
you did an amazing job
Smokki  [author] 24 Jun, 2020 @ 11:02am
@[PBSr] Blaze Well now that it's out, I did work on the station with Aragath.
