Hi @MDJ, the turn signals do work, but it seems the ability to change headlights does not. It's not a huge deal though, thanks for your time

@Mr Hague - I currently don't have plans to update. The new GM additions all fall within the "too high-tech" category, imho.

I've been a bit too busy for ArmA stuff recently, so I haven't had a chance to thoroughly check compatibility with the new update yet - the blinkers and headlights _should_ already work, since I'm inheriting from the GM base classes?

Hi @MDJ, will this be updated for GM 1.6? Some neat stuff got added that would be great for these factions... mortars, new ATGM carriers and the like. Vehicles have working turn signals and adjustable headlights too!

@nova: That's not a problem! I've released this under the APL-SA licence ( https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Licenses ) , so you're pretty much free to tear apart and repackage this addon however you want for non-commercial use. (just keep in mind that anything derived from my work also needs to be released under the same licence)

Heyo! i hope you don't mind but me and my group of guys are using one of your factions to help create a custom cold war Antistasi. I probably should have asked before we started devving lol but i kinda didn't think about it and forgot to. I'm more than willing to credit you for this awesome mod! and if you really wish it we could start over with a new faction, if you would rather us not use your work. @Mr. Hague: I don't feel as though the armed versions of the Iltis are a great fit for the factions (I want to maximise compatability with dynamic missions, so I have to assume configured _will_ be spawned by systems like ALIVE and DRO) - I have defined texturesources for the MG3 and Milan Iltis, though. So if you want to include one in a mission, you place the Bundeswehr Iltis and use BIS_fnc_initVehicle (or GM's module if you're in Zeus, which can also do all the insignia) to reskin it. (this also works with the ZSU-23-4, T55AM2/B, 2S1 and 2P16, which don't have defined classes in the factions for the same reason)

AFAIK, there should be a way to define custom markers in missions? The texture paths are "HSO_GM_EasyFIA\misc\Flag_FIA_co.paa", "HSO_GM_EasyFIA_BluRed\misc\Flag_Blue_co.paa", "HSO_GM_EasyFIA_BluRed\misc\Flag_Red_co.paa" and "HSO_GM_EasyFIA_Civ\misc\Flag_Civ_co.paa"

Would be cool if we mad map markers for the new factions. I'm working on a custom GM antistasi and I like the flags you made and would like to use them as markers too

@Mr. Hague: Yep. That's a bug. Looks like there was a new hidden selection added for the Iltis in the update I wasn't aware of - It's a super easy fix, though, so I should be able to get a fixed version out later tonight.

The Iltis texture is a bit bugged, the interior (steering wheel, instruments, etc) don't render in. It might be more of a GM issue though.

@Abbadon70: That's likely working as intended, then. If you just use them as is, a few (around half) will get headgear added on initialization (ie, when you test the mission in the editor). They don't have headgear defined in the config because the addheadgear command can only add or replace headgear.

(I think the vanilla Altis civilians work the same way?)

I only checked out the Redfor faction. I placed a bunch of groups and just had the warlord with the beret. As I'm not running a mission, ya no hats or helmets. I wasnt aware this was a planned thing as I've never come across this before and mods with randomized headwear...I'm used to showing up. A new one for me.

I can solve this with compositions easily though now that i know. Thanks for the reply.

@abbadon70: Is this affecting all the factions? The Redfor dudes shouldn't have hats when placed in the editor - this is intentional, as that's all handled by the init function (which only runs once the mission starts)

I've just checked the workshop version in case something went weird with the upload, and I can't seem to replicate this issue for the other factions. It's possible this may be being caused by a conflict with another addon? Sorry I can't be more help.

There are a few significant issues (mostly texture errors as a result of the vehicle overhaul) with the current version that have been introduced by release candidate build, so a fix will be necessary. I don't want to comment beyond that, as I'm still pondering implementation of some of the new assets.

@(Nuclear) Bloody Cub: Basically just a blufor version of FIA. Someone asked about porting the faction to other sides, and I kinda like the idea of "rebel group vs. other, different rebel group" dynamic (like ArmA.2's Chedaki and NAPA), so rather than just having the blue and red factions be identical to the original green faction, I've given them slightly different kit and aesthetics.

Actually, that's not entirely true - I'd originally made them different because I was pretty certain that having units on blue and red inheriting from SoldierGB would cause bugs, but it turns out the vanilla 2035 blue and red resistance factions do inheirit from soldierGB? So either that was fixed for ArmA.3, or maybe it was never an issue at all and I just dreamed it? (I don't think so, because usually when secrets are revealed to me in dreams by a mysterious shrouded figure, they're pretty accurate)

@Antichrist Hater: I'll look into it (taking a quick peak at how it's done in GMX_Tak, it seems like it should be easy enough to add - or at least easier than I'd have thought it would be - biggest hurdle is finding the classnames of the animations).

Would you be able to add some randomization to vehicle parts like in GMX Takistan? Stuff like mud guards, fuel barrels, bags and gun shields on T-55s and M113s so groups look less uniform

@Rowley Birkin QC: No. (it's based off the FIA from OFP, that the ArmA.3 faction was named after) I don't really have plans to make a replacement mod right now (too much hassle - also I'm inheiriting from Solider_B_G_Base, so it might not be possible without breaking the laws of causality as we know them... some may view that as a challenge, though XD ).

I believe Griz's East Wind Rearmed has GM-ified 2035 FIA, if that's what you're after, I'm not sure if it's a replacement though.

@Babushka: The APP6 markers? They're modified them from the vanilla ones.

I did consider making them for use seperately as map markers, but I haven't made a full set, just the ones I needed and there's already a few other addons that do this (and a lot better than I could XD ), so... probably not going to happen, sorry.

@max-moviemaster: There are skins for the Shilka ("HSO_GM_FIA_Generic" and "HSO_GM_FIA_Winter_Generic") which can be used with BIS_fnc_initVehicle. I've intentionally not included a preconfiged variant, since I don't feel as though it's "low tech" enough to fit, and I can't tell stuff like DRO and ALIVE to not spawn it.

@Gulag Gunner: Captured uniforms - probably not, they'd be a nightmare to id (though, I can see why some people might like that XD), and since I don't have access to the original textures, they'd inevitably end up looking a bit 'uncanny valley' next to the GM versions.

(I did include renegade troops for resistance factions back in the old A3 SLA pack I did about 10 years ago, and they didn't work as well as I'd have liked - it seems like a good idea on paper, but feels a bit half-baked as a 'subfaction' ingame. I think something like 3CB have done with their take on the TKA/AAF is a bit better, but I feel that's a bit beyond the scope this addon!)

Not too sure what you mean by "the new uniform variants"? The 90s BW uniforms? Seems a bit too modern, IMO.

This is a cool mod and really increases the viability of GM on other terrains and for different scenarios. I've been thinking of making an ALIVE mission, and I noticed that the 80's FIA has ALIVE classes but the OPFOR and BLUFOR variants (FWA and FRA) don't. Would it be possible to extend the ALIVE compatibility to these two variants?

@Pol Pot mug: I had initially specifically not added the BRDM because it seemed a bit too modern/specialized, but doing some further research it seems this might not have been the case (apparently Cuba have, like, 100 of them?). I'll have a look into it, but no promises - I don't really have plans for another update right now. (Though, the last time I said that about a request I pretty much added it within the week, so we'll see how quickly I acquiesce to my desire for validation from random strangers on the internet! XD )
