Very fun mod!!! My caravan was ambushed by the Slug's Army. And Slug was in it. I managed to capture him. But Why is he not the faction leader ?

Hi uhm I ran in to a funny bug.... I got a Namekian thats unsatisvied with his hair style :P so hes at the styling station and keeps trying to change his style but hes only option is being bald.... I knowe how he feels but staying at the styling station wont fix it :P

If you want to change/introduce major game behaviours, though, you'll need to learn C#, and then learn how Rimworld works with it. Not at all in insurmountable task, but it takes a lot more time and effort than just fiddling with XML. For reference, none of my mods use C#.

There are also modding Discords you can join for learning and help. I'm shy and never joined any, so I can't say much about that, though.

I'm not up-to-date with existing framework mods or very new Rimworld features, but assuming there's nothing out there to work off from, I would say an Absorption Mod of any kind would require at least a little bit of C#.

Good luck if you try to make that mod. Feel free to use assets from this one as long as you credit me somewhere.

Shaco, there's is not much to it. Generally speaking, I've always liked modding in PC games and thus I'm used to the idea of googling a lot to find out if it can be done, how, and maybe trying to make something myself.

Rimworld is fairly easy to mod at an XML level once you understand how files interact. Just figure out exactly what you want to do, look in the game files + other mods for something that is similar, study it, then it's just a lot of trial and error. Sometimes I get it to work, sometimes I realize it can't be done with XML only. That's all I do in my mods.
I consider the Dragonians, Ratkin and Ferrex the grandparents of my mods in general, because whenever I had a problem I would try to understand how they did it.

I really do love this mod and respect your vision for it. Would you share your story that lead you to be able to mod Rimworld and any sort of basics you used to understand it? I would like to see if I could conquer the task of creating a general universal pawn absorption mod to create my Super Nameks. If you would rather not share that information, please accept my pure admiration for this Namekian mod and the Frieza Race mod. I wish there was more Dragon Ball content in general.

The mod is complete as far as features go. The only thing I might add one day is an extra outfit for flavour, and a couple of things that might be necessary for Ideology that I didn't do because the update was very new and I didn't know any of its new features.

The pawnmorpher comment was already replied to on another mod. Once again thanks for bringing it up Renix.

When this mod and the frieza mod is used in combination with pawn morppher these two races will have bugged part HP, and all parts will be stuck at a value below max health, for example if a psiomter is installed on my brain i'll have 10/100 brain hp. This bug used to happen to other races with humanoid alien races and pawn morpher in the past, but the only race s i have tthat it seems to effect now are the namekian race and frieza race.

It seems it was some weird conflict with the animation submod for everyones "favorite" LL Rimworld mod. I Removed it, it should be ok now.

The thing had nothing to do with the 1.2 files at all, and tbh I still don't completely understand why the Royalty stuff broke it, but hey it's working now.

Do you play with Royalty?
I ran some tests and I think the problem was that.
I tried to do something to help it (pushed an update just now) and things are working for me.

If you still have problems maybe the problem is some mod incompatibility that you need to locate before I can help you with it.


If nothing else works for you, I am trying to upload the old 1.2 somewhere steam will accept the link, but right now I need to go do something else, so please wait.


Another thing I can say is that yesterday I got a weird black screen that didn't let me start the game out of nowhere and what fixed it was deleting my ModsConfig.xml and... loading the exact same modlist after a clean start, which worked that time around.

weird - the game loads with a mostly black screen and and broken hud with the mod - without it works fine. - the only broken part is the world map in my save (understandably breaks when a faction/s are removed) idk - is there anything you can think of/re-upload before the update idk? - is your mod available outside the workshop? thx for your time

07/08 Update - "I played for like 2 hours and it worked ok" Edition

Hello, time for a new version.
IF YOU HAVE ROYALTY, please use Real Faction Guest , otherwise the races will appear as normal pawns in quests!
I won't make it a hard dependency for now, but if I don't find any other way to fix this I'll have to.

The DBZ mods will get updates throughout the month.
I still have things to work on, but I figured it's better to upload these and get feedback while I'm actively working on them.

Check the Change Notes for details on this update.

This has been tested for immediate errors with Vanilla and Vanilla+Royalty.
Hasn't been tested in long play. Hasn't been tested with Ideology.

I haven't played Ideology at all yet. Feel free to make suggestions if you want, but please understand I will have no idea of what you're talking about for now.

17/03: added a new food item for Royalty - Fancy water.
With this you can mitigate the appetites of namekian nobles.
It can be made on stoves. It needs water and some vegetables.

Since water is quite OP, I tried to mitigate that a little bit making Cooking skill 10 a requirement.

I don't know because honestly I did not start playing Royalty until yesterday.
After I figure things out there, I will see what I can do about the water.

For now, if you're playing Royalty, please make a local copy and apply this temporary fix [drive.google.com] if you have any Namekian royals. (drag and drop inside the Namekian's folder, it should overwrite 2 files)
It just gives the whole race a human diet.

27/02: updated to 1.1, "as far as I know it won't break your game" edition

In 1.1 traders might buy fewer items than in 1.0 because there's a bit of new code and I haven't found out yet what corresponds to the old one. In any case, the mod is functional.

Includes the patches for Dub's Bad Hygiene, Gloomy Furniture and the other DBZ mods.
