Nope, should be fully compatible, I use both mods all the time
Konjiki Umi 7 Apr, 2021 @ 9:42am
is this mod conflict with ACE?
Ricciardi-Sama 5 Nov, 2020 @ 3:40pm
I have been having a problem with this mod, after I made the Book that would raise the next villager, he performs the crafting animation and leaves the crafting queue for the book, but he is not consumed and the villager not evelui.mais anyone having this problem?
P3rdit1ous  [author] 25 Sep, 2020 @ 11:28pm
Hmm I'm sorry, I've not been able to reproduce either of these errors. I have been using this with ACE since I created it without issue
Wen 25 Sep, 2020 @ 10:36pm
It has been officially confirmed that there is a conflict between ACE and the module

It should be because ace comes with functions similar to smart craft module

After the auto synthesis is loaded, the book cannot be used normally

Once the number of books exceeds the existing number, it will be impossible to use books again
Wen 18 Sep, 2020 @ 8:57pm
After adding other modules

Once the book is used, the game will stop completely

Can't train from manuals. Sometimes game allows me to queue a "Craft" one training session, but none afterwards. It never allows me to "Maintain" any session. First time I try it (on a clean ACE start with manuals spawned by debug tools) game throws an error.

On my (rather mod-stacked) developed save, trying to queue a training causes a catastrophic memory leak.

Playing with Rayya's Children.

You are a wonderful human being xd I appreciate the investment you have for your work and can't wait to integrate it in my next game! Thanks again for responding so quickly
P3rdit1ous  [author] 21 Feb, 2020 @ 11:37pm
The only mods that would have an issue with this one are ones that change crafters recipe lists, which I try to keep on top of the best I can to minimise inconvenience :)
Mimzie 21 Feb, 2020 @ 11:07pm
I Have no game using this mod so cant provide context, but are you aware of mods tjat are a issue for this? I generally play the default Ascendence(?) kingdom
P3rdit1ous  [author] 19 Dec, 2019 @ 1:02am
What kingdom and any other mods you are using please? I'm not sure on this one but I'll investigate!
Avallex 18 Dec, 2019 @ 3:34pm
Seems to be causing an engine error when trying to maintain any number of 'training from the manual' items
P3rdit1ous  [author] 8 Sep, 2019 @ 8:23pm
That's weird, I've not come across that issue
SwoLeDlckus 8 Sep, 2019 @ 2:37pm
thats the issue im having i can't use the training recipe with my level 1 crafter
P3rdit1ous  [author] 8 Sep, 2019 @ 12:49pm
That is intentional, having the high level crafter make the tome itself. After you make it with your high level crafter, you can then use the training recipe with a crafter of any level to gain them exp without expending possibly valuable resources
SwoLeDlckus 8 Sep, 2019 @ 11:09am
i don't seem to be able to craft he training tome with a lvl 1 crafter, only with a lvl 6.
specifically "getting rocks off". if i demote my lvl 6 from a potter i can craft it but when i have my lvl 6 promoted to potter it just breaks
P3rdit1ous  [author] 6 Sep, 2019 @ 10:22am
Yeah the duplicating is a thing that happens sometimes, it's something I've looked into changing but can't fix. Glad it works for you now.
g_BonE 6 Sep, 2019 @ 6:52am
gave it enother try with just ACE and Your mod and it seems to work fine now even tho the books duplicate sometimes. No worries.
P3rdit1ous  [author] 4 Sep, 2019 @ 1:01pm
I don't think so. What kind of errors is it throwing?
g_BonE 4 Sep, 2019 @ 8:46am
nope, dont have smart crafter but have ACE latest version (drinking update) installed. maybe thats the reason?
P3rdit1ous  [author] 3 Sep, 2019 @ 1:08pm
Huh, really? I've had no issues with it on my end.. you don't have smart crafter do you? The standalone, not the ACE built in
g_BonE 3 Sep, 2019 @ 7:25am
alright, so this mod seems to have a few issues with ACE. It throws errors when queuing the train from book job or if you try to queue more then one training. Maybe have a look? Liking the idea tho.
P3rdit1ous  [author] 26 Aug, 2019 @ 5:42pm
Don't get my wrong, I think it was highly commical and amusing to imagine a little hearthling jamming two workbenches into a bolt of leather and tying it all together to make a book, but it was causing issues with compatibility so was modified
Nico 26 Aug, 2019 @ 8:25am
After giving it a thought, I think it's a good change, It's fair to force some progression through the materials needed.

I´m gonna keep looking for those coal lumps; and thanks for keep working on this.
P3rdit1ous  [author] 25 Aug, 2019 @ 8:35pm
Yeah sorry about that, I changed it since using the workbenches was a little unrealistic. You should be able to get coal just from mining stone
Nico 25 Aug, 2019 @ 12:09pm
It wroked !

But then all the recipes changed again and now i need:
1 wood
1 leather bolt
1 coal lump (I dont know how or where to find this ones)

same recipe for all books
P3rdit1ous  [author] 17 Aug, 2019 @ 1:57am
Should now be updated (at least what I tested) to work for all three vanilla kingdoms at least!
Vertria 17 Aug, 2019 @ 1:47am
Well I'm glad I've been playing the Ascendancy, then!

And I'm also glad that you care enough to keep updating the mod.
P3rdit1ous  [author] 16 Aug, 2019 @ 7:17pm
@Nico I found the issue. I didn't realize ACE overwrites a lot of the default workbenches with kingdom specific customizations. I will start working on fixing this, until that time, Crafting manuals are only compatible with ACE Ascendancy
P3rdit1ous  [author] 16 Aug, 2019 @ 2:04pm
@SoulRapier you just queue the crafting recipe "training from the manual" and they will craft it. I suggest setting them to "maintain" 3 or 4 training recipes
Nico 16 Aug, 2019 @ 5:15am
I haven't tested all the professions yet, but I as for now I have this problem for the carpenter, the blacksmith and mason.

I make the necessary ingredients (the workbenches) and then I place the book on the crafters queue, but it says the igredients are missing. I open up my inventory and the ingredients are right there, I can even place them if I want to.
SoulDealer 16 Aug, 2019 @ 4:10am
@P3rdit1ous i mean how do i make them study it
P3rdit1ous  [author] 16 Aug, 2019 @ 2:33am
What do you mean @SoulRapier?
SoulDealer 15 Aug, 2019 @ 11:55pm
is it auto working or shuold i trigger it somehow?
P3rdit1ous  [author] 15 Aug, 2019 @ 8:36pm
It is working for me. Could you be more specific about what is not working?
P3rdit1ous  [author] 15 Aug, 2019 @ 7:38pm
I will check. Thanks for letting me know
Nico 15 Aug, 2019 @ 4:41pm
Hi there, very interesting mod, however I have a problem:
I'm playing with the Northern Alliance and the recipes don't work.
I imagine its because the workstations are sligtly different than the Ascendancy ones.
Can you (or anyone) corroborate this?
Дѣдъ Aнтуанъ-Cержъ 8 Aug, 2019 @ 3:02am
Okie thx
P3rdit1ous  [author] 7 Aug, 2019 @ 7:40pm
Basically each crafter class has its own manual. The high level crafter makes the book, then the low level crafter can use it to train. The low level recipe takes one book and produces one book, so you should, theoretically, never lose it and can keep using it to level
Дѣдъ Aнтуанъ-Cержъ 7 Aug, 2019 @ 3:04pm
but honestly i don't get how it work :tabbycat:
P3rdit1ous  [author] 5 Aug, 2019 @ 8:20pm
I tried giving them all commical names, partly for differentiation and partly because I think I am way funnier than I actually am lol
Flazzorb 4 Aug, 2019 @ 10:44pm
I'll be there in a minute, just gotta hammer out the kinks.
The Metal: Harder daddy.
This will take a while.
Scotty Travis 4 Aug, 2019 @ 4:19pm
@Dr.Catsville just like minecraft
Дѣдъ Aнтуанъ-Cержъ 3 Aug, 2019 @ 1:13am
oh i understand i forgot that there are a ton of a "new" workbenches
P3rdit1ous  [author] 2 Aug, 2019 @ 11:30pm
@Dr.Catsville when I said cheaper than it should be, I meant that the manuals take one of each of the crafters workbenches to make. In ACE, some crafters have extra workbenches that aren't included for the manual recipes.

@Leucaria first check the crafter and see which manual they use, each manual is themed for the crafter. Then using the debugtools item stamper, type "training_manuals:gizmos:xxxx" where x is the manual name, separated by underscores. For example, the carpenter would be "training_manuals:gizmos:saws_and_boards"
Leucaria 2 Aug, 2019 @ 8:09pm
How do I give the book to a specific person?
Дѣдъ Aнтуанъ-Cержъ 2 Aug, 2019 @ 4:44pm
wait cheaper then it should pls dont make it more expensive)))
findersword 1 Aug, 2019 @ 10:56pm
Good going, nice mod!
P3rdit1ous  [author] 1 Aug, 2019 @ 1:18pm
However with ACE, the manuals may seem cheaper than they should. This is because ACE added in extra workshops for some crafters that aren't required for the tomes
