No, bin is just a form of file compression/binarization

@Amber Worden use BankRev to unpack my .pbo and then edit the config.cpp to use whatever parameters you desire. Once you are done, you use addon builder to convert the config file back into a .pbo so that Arma's engine can read it.

Awesome, I have arma3 tools, I'm just not sure what I'm looking at I see there is a 'bin' file don't exactly know how to open that. Should say I don't know what program under Arma3 Tools to use to open that (sorry going in 3 different directions at once here)

@Amber Worden Buildings in ArmA require pure explosive power to bring down and since the Pike *Mini* Missiles weigh like 5 pounds they aren't very powerfully realistically. If I did add a building-killing variant, it would really just end up being heavy enough to be a regular missile. In any case, the included config file that exists outside the .pbo has no effect on the game, in fact you could probably delete it from your computer without harming anything. I only included it as impetus for others to make a true 40mm Grenade Launcher version like NaPalm already did. You are totally free to extract the .pbo of my mod using Arma tools, edit whatever parameters you wish by using notepad on the config file *extracted from the .pbo*, and redistribute it on workshop but I ask that you please credit me in your mod description. If you already have Arma Tools downloaded you can do all of that within like 15-20 minutes. I'd be glad to help if you have any trouble with that..

I love your mod! So thankful you shared it! I did have a request. Any way there can be a missile added that could bring down a building? Or maybe I'm just putting the laser marker on the right spot.

But I love the mod, and the players I'm with do as well. I can launch a drone and well we cause chaos!

@Zsavage, you can use naPalm's version of Pike missiles, they work without ace and on 40mm grenade launchers, but those missiles might be having problems with some certain missions, which is why I keep this up and so people can use ACE laser codes.

@idkwhatnickshouldiuse You can change the missiles to work for an RPG, if you just change the base magazine for the pike magazines to an RPG magazine and it should work.

Just get it, some people want to play with ACE some without. - Its good but i understand, in some ops it fucks up. - Its sad we have no good alternatives.

@SnakeDoc I could easily add those to this mod, but they would pretty much just be a heavier Pike missile with a bigger boom.

FYI there are actually laser guided rounds for the MAAWS current designation GCGM

@shakespearsinsults Only the Laser Guided MAAWS ones need Ace, and they only need the ace missile guidance addon. If you install ace manually and then delete every .pbo except missile guidance, then you can use it without the rest of ace. I'm also working on a new missile config that won't require ace.

@WraithWyvern For laser guided version you can simply use submunitions with autoSeekTarget option and "LoalDistance" flight profile. It will search for targets by itself.
For manual guidence you can make a missile that locks on IR targets, in Fired event create an invisible target for it and use setVehicleTIPars on target, then use setMissileTarget.
You would need to use a cylce that checks a current terrain or object you are looking at by lineIntersectsSurface, and use setPos to place your target there.

@arthrfortune You have to the Virtual Arsenal and any version of the Mk4 MAAWS in order to use the Pike Missiles, they'll have the same icon as the PCML's missiles.

@ V. Berlioz I think that Firewill's SFW script might be a good place to start since his SFW cluster bombs create guided submunitions like how we're trying to replicate. Just tell me if you ever get it working and I'll add it to here and put you as a collaborator. The solution is probably a hilariously simple script, but we just need to figure out what it is.

Good luck. I tried something similar with my own PIKE grenades, only to find the same guided munition problem.

@V. Berlioz I've been experimenting with it, and from what I can tell you can use the submunition system to launch missiles from the grenade launcher, but they won't be guided. It'll probably require scripts to actually produce an effectively guided missile out of a grenade launcher. I'll try to work on that, but it will probably take a while.
