Oddly enough, this is incompatible with the black plague scenario if you play as the Holy Roman Empire as it causes a mod error screen to pop up. Yet Great Britain, however, worked just fine when loading up the scenario.

I think it would be nice if there at least existed a toggleable option, to build on jungle and marsh instead of only on forest. It's not like the Vietnam civ becomes obsolete since they're the only ones who get bonuses for building in such places anyway but still.

city centers act differently, as you create them via settlers instead of "building" the district itself, so it does not work for city centers, no.

Does this work with City Centers also? The game treats city centers as districts, but you don't really specify if they are supported or not.

because they do not have jungle-specific gameplay, whereas Brazil needs to preserve Jungle to make use of their unique ability.

Tested this mod alone with all official content I own - works fine by itself so it's conflicting with some other mod, but frankly I've spent way too long today testing some other mod individually with 30+ other mods so I don't have it in me to do it again with this 🤣 Sorry!

Also interestingly: this only happens when I use the "create game" menu. It didn't happen when I used "play now" for testing purposes.

Not positive if my issue is from this mod alone or if it's conflicting with another mod, but when this mod is enabled, I can't see city borders or movement borders for units.

I just started playing a multiplayer round and whenever someone builds a wonder the screen from singlepayer with the animation and voiceover starts and the person cant exit the screen. Does anyone know why this happens or how to fix it. We us this mod, the vegetation variety one as well as enhanced infrastructure with the only one suez canal addon and the bridge addon linked there.

Just chop the trees for their production, and replant afterwards with builders. You get both uses.

When you build a district (campus or theatre in my case) without removing the woods, does it only show a difference when the district is completed? During construction I see no difference, i.e., no surviving trees.
Also, I'm using Leugi's City Styles mod and I noticed an earlier poster saying something about "manual files with increased sprawl", which I have no idea what that is, ergo I'm likely not using it.

Lastly, as building a district on top of woods loses the woods benefit AND loses the production bonus from harvesting the trees, is it really worth losing both of those benefits for a visual improvement? Might it be possible to have half the harvest value of the woods added to the production cost when the construction starts?

Hey @JNR =) Is it intended that the game still warns me that the forest will be removed with a red exclamation mark bubble when I am in "place district" mode?

The district still gets placed without removing the forest, but it seems like the old warning system is still there partially. I don't get the prompt "are you sure, this will remove the forest", that doesn't happen. But the red warning bubble is still there.

I realized the load order was rather low, and it's possible that people were playing with modded civs with higher load order, in which case it wouldn't work. If you keep encountering issues, please specify what civ you tried it with. I increased the load order, so it should work better with modded civs now.

updated to work with new Preserve district: everyone can build it on Forest, Rainforest, and Floodplains (compatible with Tundra Floodplains from Wetlands mod).

I have 71 mods yet i got no problems. Maybe they not seeing "Forest" or " cities", too many mods that alter same can conflict.:Diplomat:

Not to be rude but it absolutely baffles me people still don't understand how mods work; that people don't understand the concept of mod conflicts. I have about 30 mods and this works for me, because none of the mods I use (very fortunately) conflict with it. Someone saying "I have 50 mods and this is the only one that doesn't work" blows my mind, like it's *this* mods fault one or more of your 50 mods conflicts with it.

Yeah it is related the sprawl, if you guys are using a sprawl mod or [GS] Leugi's City Styles Pack with the manual files with increase sprawl, visually some of the trees or most won't be visually shown. I guess there is so much room on a hex tile, so the extra buildings push out the trees.

You guys should still get the bonuses still.

It works for me and still won't play without it, i say it just 50/50% chance it won't on certain districts , or you maybe mod conflict for some.:Diplomat:
