No, it is controlled via remote but you can setup a targeting script if you want it to have that

i have to grind the connectors down to 17% for the decoys to launch. its kind of annoying when i have a good shot lined up. But i have been looking for something like this on the workshop for over a year now, so thank you.

@Assassin1217 yes I definitely agree the sensor takes a while to trip. And when you’re making a missile that’s relying on sensors for detonation, every millisecond counts. I’m going to work on modifications this to accommodate a script for raycast detonation or something. Thanks for the comment!

Love to see the arms race continue. I agree with some of the previous posts regarding sensor detonation. In my own trails of missiles ive found the sensor refresh rate is really low, I forget thr esact number, but its like 10x slower than raycast or Lidar from a camera. Sadly you do need to use a script but it will bring your did count to 0%.

3.Last question, why you write comments that only contains "Nice, cool!" "Awersome!" without reasoning about the shortcomings and what needs to be improved?
P.S. "Haters" can give more profit to author than those who flatter him, if author accept criticism.

In my own honest opinion this torpedo have too bad warhead and a guidance system that is as old as the world.

As for me i haven't questions for author of this blueprint.
But have questions for those who like this "Torpedo".
1.I think that in steam workshop you like blueprints that cause you admiration and that you can't build. If it's true, why you can't build simple missile that controlled like drones (by remote control, antena and camera)? If you can't build missile like this - you newbie or not experienced engineer. As for me i think that this missile have simply design and type of controlling. It is neither beautiful nor destructive.
2.I think it’s not right to be biased towards anyone, and people that are call other people who criticize blueprints "Haters" more toxic than these same "Haters". Cause "Haters" can give constructive critisize to blueprint to improve to fix his flaws. Why you call them "Haters" and try to persuade the author not to listen to criticism?

And now I will explain to you the behavior: For such assessment work has to have 1. homing guided script 2. guided multiple warheads 3. a more powerful warhead. And for 63 likes I get IT. Now the question is,WHERE is IT.

Such mechanism on script useless too againist moving targets.
You play a game where the ships can change the trajectory in seconds,it is very naive to make ballistic missiles with ballistic decoys against them.

@CrimsonAdder, thanks for the feedback! I’ll consider adding more decoys to increase its chances, and perhaps I’ll look more into adding a script to it. I’ve definitely been having trouble using the sensors for detonation, maybe the raycast will help! Thanks!

@Android, I’m sorry it didn’t work well for you. I’m interested to know how many point defense weapons your target has? Granted, the decoys only work as long as they are alive. So the more weapons the target has, the shorter the decoys will live.

For moving targets, it’s best to follow the same flight path i.e. fly parallel or directly behind the target and then converge.

Also using raycast camera to arm the warheads with Easy Lidar Homing is reliable unlike the sensors, which often lead to duds.

it typically takes at least 8 decoys to distract turrets long enough for the missile to impact a stationary target in my experience.

To the author, I would recommend increasing the number of decoys and using Easy Lidar Homing in GPS mode instead of manual guidance, which would make the missile practical.

one of the most useless torpedoes and even 4 decoys did not save it from a normal missile defense,which it will not survive as a small grid

@Blackvertigo1, yes tons of fun! And I totally agree, I don’t think it does nearly as much damage as it should. Keen needs to up the damage of small grid warheads imo. And I’ve played around with rotors, but it can’t be printed, that’s why I opted away from that

@Northerner, thank you! I know it’s probably not super cost effective to make haha, which is why I really hope keen bolsters the damage of warheads so it will actually be worth it. And thanks! I’m pretty happy with the way it came out. Suggestions for improvements are always welcome!

it does more damage per amount of magnesium than anything else, anything but that if you point your drills at anything for more than a second then you'll basically have enough to make it.

I think its cool, but I always find weapons like this underwhelming for the amount of damage they due vs cost

but its super cool, and I really like the idea of decoys as well. Good work man.
