All strategics and luxuries. I compared between SimulationDescriptors[Empire].xml of the mod and the file of the game but didn't found any suspicious. I checked other installed mods and didn't found a mod that also changes this file.

It doesn't work for me: strategics are still limited to 999.

For future reference btw, if anyone knows how I can edit those 3 values, and make a separate xml file for it, without causing the game to be unable to start, I'm open to suggestions, since it'd be nice to not have to have compatibility issues with other mods.

Also updated the required DLCs based on the DLCs I had installed while making the mod, the mod might work without the DLCs, but I obviously can't guarantee that.

Should now be updated and working again, tested it just now. Tried to make it so I didn't need to overwrite base game file, but failed, so unfortunately it still has to overwrite the SimulationDescriptors[Empire].xml.

yes be warned : you cannot lauch a game with this mod on with last patch update, so you need to disable it.

I don't have the Penumbra , Awakening or Dark Matter DLC and this mod works fine for me. You can't use it with the ESG mod though (the ESG author documents that incompatibility)

That's possible, haven't updated the mod in a long time, haven't picked up the new DLCs yet either.
It's highly likely this mod won't work until I get around to updating it again.

Hi, you're welcome.

Currently I've listed those two DLCs as required as I'm unsure whether or not the base file references them. I'd say you're free to give it a go if you miss either or even both of them, but I'm also not sure if I'll be of much help troubleshooting if it doesn't work if that's the case.

The base file (SimulationDescriptors[Empire].xml) references quite a bit of data, and I assume it also references data related to the Penumbra and Awakening DLC. It's possible it doesn't actually require the DLC tho, but you know, better safe than sorry.

@SITAKIE, it's a one file edit, both edits happen in the same file. It does not reduce the conflictability by not doing the science surplus change aswell. It likely broke due to the update, not due to the science surplus addition.

You should create a mode that changes the maximum resource limit for all resources and luxuries to 9999 only to reduce conflicts.

Well, all it affects is the maximum amount of resources you're allowed to have in storage at any given time.

Base game allows you to have 999 of every strategic, and 999 of every luxury resource, with any excess being discarded upon overflow.

The science surplus on the other hand, only allows for 2 times your per-turn value as surplus, not quite sure how much of an effect that has, considering I've never really seen research surplus stack up much.

My mod simply increases both of those to 9999, so instead of resources being discarded once you go above 999, it does so after 9999, so can pretty much store 10x more.

In terms of science surplus, it's 999x the turn value, again, not sure how that would affect things on a balance level.
