Just noticed someone ask how to edit armor values.
it works on all mods but be wary of publicly uploading such things without permission from original makers, personal use might be ok.

This is how I did it:
1. unpack the PBO file with PBO Manager. keep all unpacked files.
2.find the configuration bin file- depending on mod, you may have to really search for it.
3.convert the configuration bin file to a Cfg file with Arma 3 Tools.
4.open the configuration Cfg with Visual Studio Code.
5.locate the armor value and change it.
6.save your changes.
7.use Arma 3 tools to convert the configuration Cfg back into bin format and put it back with the unpacked files from the PBO.
8.use PBO Manager to repack the files into a PBO file.

It should work though I might not have covered everything, also the edited mod is a local mod so it needs mounting to play it which can be done from the Arma 3 launcher.

-update about editing the armor values: I just tested putting the armor value at 50000 and noticed a difference so looks like there isn't too much of a limit after as long as you can fit a large number of zeros into the value.

About the editing the armor values: it appears there is a "maximum limit" to how high the armor value can go regardless to how high the value is set; somewhere between 1000 and 2500. Which makes a full health wearer of the vest alone able to take 7 shots from the Apex DLC AKM without dying...though the health be so low at that point that they'll die from a rock being thrown at them.

Though nice to know armor values in mods can be edited with the some available software: Arma 3 tools and Visual Studio Code for those who ask.

You can edit the values of any armor.

It's a good idea to increase the strength of body armor, but unfortunately this mod impossible to use, because it distorts the NATO / CSAT balance. I ran a test and saw, it takes 10-9 shots to kill a NATO soldier, while killing a CSAT soldier takes 1-2 shots

Hey, would there be any chance of a version of the "Protective Gear Upgrade" mods without added protection to the vests?
Because when playing with ACE mod, one turns into too much of a walking tank/bullet sponge if an uniform that provides protection AND a vest such as the Carrier GL Rig are equiped at the same time. Other than that I really like this mod a lot.

I found the issue. Looks it was SSU PGU overriding some inhertiances from NATO PGU that caused the U_B_CTRG_1 to have default values. I've rewrote NATO PGU a bit to improve compatiblity. Hopefully, this fixes the issue for everyone.

You are right: without some mods, CTRG Stealth Uniform has correct buffs.
However, with SSU PGU on, CTRG Combat Uniform (U_B_CTRG_1) loses buffs, although its variants do not. Will check further on other mod issues.

I doubled checked with NATO PGU on, CTRG's Uniform does get a buff, even when being used along with SSU PGU. Have you tested if the uniform do take more hits like the CSAT fatigues? If it really isn't buffed, then perhaps one of the active mods on your list is also overriding the CTRG's Uniform, try playing only with this one to see if there might be some conflicting mods.

NATO PGU buffs all NATO combat uniforms including CTRG's Stealth Uniform. SSU PGU doesn't affect any base game equipment, only those added by SSU.

Perhaps the Stealth Combat Uniform of CTRG could also use a buff? The SSU upgrade does not affect that one?

Looks like the uniforms were missing some ACE variables that caused them to be invincible with ACE Medical. I wrote a fix that worked on my end, hopefully it works for everyone.

Hi, this mod seems not compatibility with ACE Medical system. With this mod enabled, medical status failed to sync between clients, and player will not receive any hurt in singleplayer scenarios. Could you please check it?

@☣Tsubaru☣ A lot of classnames were used to make this. If you have arma tools and PBO manager, then you could open the mod's pbo and unbinarize "config.cpp". You'll find all the classnames and code there.

The new values for the heavy vests take 8 point blank shots by 6.5, + 1 when wearing armored uniforms. The lite vests generally take 1 less hit.

This mod doesn't work for rhs uniforms because they do not inherit from vanilla NATO uniforms. But some mods like "Military Gear Pack" do work since they inherit for the modified uniforms.
