Well, I finally did it: made a currently usable Prometheus. Check it out here:

That would be great to see, I would love to take it for a spin.

This ship is catastrophically large, but it is still one of my most popular builds. After the success of my more moderately sized Star Destroyer, I am wondering if there would be any interest in a .25x-.5x scale version of this that would be CPU compliant? If anyone is still reading this, let me know!

@scd_13 Just tried it and it spawns in fine. In a game you don't care about, try typing sbp in the console and then use the F2->Library menu to spawn it manually, see if that works.

I was trying to get it in a solo game.

If you're trying to make it in a server, I don't think you can. This is beyond the CPU limit, and I think you can only make it in a sandbox type world without cpu restrictions.

I'm having the same issue as The Crimison F about it not showing up, anyone else had this and how did you fix it.
Achenar  [author] 8 Apr, 2020 @ 6:02pm
@PrimesTechRoom This ship was designed before CVs could dock to other CVs, which would have meant they would all have been permanently separated. Now, with the advent of CV docking, this MIGHT actually be possible, however, the resulting ships would still be very large and it would require a severe rework of the interior.

Originally, I meshed together two of my favorite ships: Voyager's interior with the Prometheus's exterior, as I liked the quad engine design, aesthetically speaking. I was actually never a huge fan of the multi-vector attack mode. Further, there are some multilevel rooms, like engineering, that would actually be cut in half by this plan.

That said, It's an interesting concept, and one that would make for an interesting CV, provided you have at least 3 people manning it.

if i could make a suggestion why dont you cut the ship up into 3 parts like in the program that way each would have its own cpu limit plus it would make it a lot better really nice ship

also noted some times i sat back down and then it updated if place thrusters in right area it re calculates fully when sit down second time seems like and still faster then orignal tested but still slow lol

Took a few month Hiatus from Empyrion as it was consuming so much time (700 hours so far). Coming back I am so happy to see this Build rated! Took a look at it as it was made Pre CPU and unfortunately, the CPU requirement is off by an order of magnitude. Getting it compliant to even a T4 CPU (10,000,000) would require ditching around 280,000,000 CPU worth of devices (mostly RCS's as Xaton mentioned). Also as Xaton posted, this would make such a massive size class (43) basically unmovable.

Updated the Description.

Someone needs to make a damaged derelict version of this that's full of aliens as a POI.
Xaton 27 Nov, 2019 @ 1:16pm
i placed this in game in creative and BY ALL THAT IS HOLY the RCS 2 250 of them almost lol pulled all those and extra thrusters and extra turrets like the plasma pulled the advanced constructors leaveign 2 and left 3 food kitchens took out all the tier 2 fuel tanks and got it CPU complient. may go in swap the other large thrusters with extra large but vertical take off or Vtol take off you could run faster if could run straight up XD
The Crimson F****r 13 Nov, 2019 @ 4:31pm
ive downloaded her so many times yet she wont appear in game , anyone help me out with this? :(
Bromius 12 Nov, 2019 @ 5:25am
is this CPU compliant ? plus whats in it class size so on
Chadmeum 12 Nov, 2019 @ 12:03am
Also the engine in the deflector dish is delicious
Chadmeum 12 Nov, 2019 @ 12:03am
Very aesthetic job! This is going to be my new capital mining ship :)
Bromius 20 Oct, 2019 @ 6:09am
what class size is it lol u r missing prob most important stats
Achenar  [author] 18 Oct, 2019 @ 7:09pm
@TheMartianOne Thanks so much, I am glad you enjoyed it! Working on a new unique CV at the moment, designed to be big, but server friendly; dimensionally half the size of this one (About the size of the saucer section).
TheMartianOne 13 Oct, 2019 @ 12:40pm
Great great looking ship, plenty of attention to details. Very well done job Achenar. I expect to see more of you soon.
Achenar  [author] 7 Oct, 2019 @ 10:29pm
@1david25 Thanks! I am glad you enjoyed this build. I plan to make something this detailed, but smaller and a custom design, but still on the drawing board :)
1david25 27 Sep, 2019 @ 3:38pm
absolutely amazing build you truely did amazing on this ship. I love it so much the love and detail in it is truely great. I hope to see you build more like this

Thanks @Ico, I appreciate the feedback. Will continue posting the random stuff I create.

On the one hand Star Trek ships are designed to be big but elegant, with most ships (especially the Federation) relying on shielding over armor or hull plating. It can make that look very hard to reproduce the smaller you go when it comes to block builders like Empyrion or Space Engineers. I think the best fit is to do more cone shaped saucers, because you end up wasting more space and have a harder time building multi-decks with a full saucer. Though I'm also just speaking from my own experiences and build style, too, you might know a better way to do it!

When it comes to what people want, I'd say focus more on your own desires and build something unique! It'll be easier, too, since you'll be able to shape your idea around Empyrion's own build limits, especially now that you have the practice from constructing this beast of a ship.
Achenar  [author] 9 Sep, 2019 @ 1:31am
@Ico, Thanks again. I've though about making a more manageable, smaller version of this; something between this and my mini Voyager. Just not sure what people are looking for: this one definitely takes an obscene amount of resources, but I like how big it is.
Ico Harbinger 7 Sep, 2019 @ 11:15pm
It'll probably get noticed more over time. It's not often that I see Trek ships that come out very nicely in space games that feature blocky building systems, which isn't surprising given how most Federation ships are comprised of rounded out bodies, saucers, and nacelles. I've given it a go myself in Space Engineers, Avorion, and Empyrion now. Avorion is where I've had the most success.

But yeah, nice job again. Looking forward to seeing what you build in the future!
Achenar  [author] 6 Sep, 2019 @ 10:17pm
Thanks @Ico. This is kind of my Magnum Opus in Empyrion. I only wish it was as well recieved as my Delorean build.
Ico Harbinger 2 Sep, 2019 @ 7:22pm
Beautiful ship! Thank you for the time and effort you put into this!
