This is a really well made series. I had to come back to part 3, that last puzzle was tricky. I almost got to the end, but couldn't put together the last step. Left and came back and it clicked.

Very awesome puzzle!

Played through the whole series (again), very well-made and aesthetic as a whole. Especially like how you imbued simple yet somewhat-clever puzzles into the BTS scenes at the start and increased the difficulty leading to this semi-difficult last part.

The first time I played this I must have gotten stuck in just the beginning area for at least half an hour. Didn't look around enough to find the portal surfaces needed to get past it. Last puzzle was befitting for a grand finale - nothing too complicated in principle, but one that can easily trick people into overthinking and ultimately spending a lot of time wondering "what the heck to do?!!?!" as I was. Well done.

As others have said however the elevator past the first mini-level of Part 3 is bugged. Not only can you jump out of it while it's going up, you can touch the very edge of it when it comes down and move out of the way and it'll still think you're in there and continue to go up. Easily fixed with putting collision around the elevator as you mentioned, and would be worth putting a "call down" feature just in case player detection bugs out as it inadvertently did for me the first time (or a button the player could press to make the elevator go up as the previous elevators did). Though not sure if you still have the original file so may not be fixable at this point :/

Anyway, overall difficulty (for all the parts) 4.5/10 I'd say (6.5/10 for Part 3 - this brought up the average significantly), design 8.5/10. Love unique Hammer maps like these.

great map as all yours are!

I wasn't fast enough getting into the elevator at the end and fell into the water below, where I got stuck, I had to restart the level, and after going through all that again found there was nothing after that elevator.

The last chamber was very challenging. Took me almost an hour to figure out!
Skyferret  [author] 12 Jun, 2021 @ 11:48pm
If you mean the elevator just after the first level, I think I see what's going on. I forgot to put collision around the elevator tube that opens up and down.
Andy T 12 Jun, 2021 @ 10:10pm
Oh there's a bug on the elevator, it is tight when when elevator shuts on you, quickload. Although this is important because I wanted to know if there's puzzle after or game ending trigger.
Skyferret  [author] 10 May, 2021 @ 2:34pm
I guess it's one of those things you overlook now and then. Will keep in mind for future reference.
An Animated Dino / Fiddler72203 10 May, 2021 @ 2:12pm
you can place a portal on the metal door you go through to call the elevator at the end

A very nice medium-difficulty map (I don't know why people are having trouble). I enjoyed exploring the rich environment.
parkisg 30 Nov, 2020 @ 6:17pm
I went through the whole thing, I solved it the second way, I guess it wasn't the intended but very tricky and tough. Good work man.
Spider_Dawg 25 Aug, 2020 @ 2:14pm
Another cool puzzle. I wonder if anybody was able to solve this without fizzling the radio. I managed to take home a couple of chairs as souvenirs.

Thanks.

You're really good at leaving the best test for last. It took a long time to figure out the last one and I really enjoyed the whole process. Well done!:cozyrealmroyale:

Really hard, utill you find that one thing that makes it all fall into place. Extremly well done.

Yes. Just as much fun as the first time I played when they were new. Thanks for creating.

Great design as always...great puzzle as always!

Yes, that is a глйч that we can't really do much about. LOL. You're not the first one to do that. Thanks for playing.

(Sorry for my English) Thanks for the awesome maps, I really enjoyed this. The last one puzzle was difficult for me, and finally I completed it wrong.

Very nice, really liked the test with the 2 cubes! Thanks for making.
Skyferret  [author] 12 Apr, 2020 @ 1:39pm
@JM.......In the first elevator, the player hits a "call elevator" trigger block when you land in that area. I guess I figured all the events to get it ready for the player would finish before walking up to it. And no need for enable/disable collision boundaries around it. The thing is that I have to disable collision on the vertically opening tube because it has solid collision instead of hollow (bad design on their behalf). That's why you went through it. As for the final elevator, that's something I need to watch for which would be a corner of the trigger block poking through the outside of the elevator body making it touchable. But the cubes being yanked through a metal grating? LOL. I don't any of us have come up with a way to stop that. It's a glitch in the game engine.

But thanks for the video. That, and comments from others help give me insight to future designs.
And thanks for playing.
JMAgr 12 Apr, 2020 @ 11:17am
found two elevator glitches, and a way to finish the level without doing anything (not shure if this is the way the level is meant to be completed) :/ great level anyways, like every single skyferret level ever

I like the dual tube mechanism a lot! that's super creative :)
I finished this part without using the reverse funnel, so I guess it was non-intended.
Anyway, great job! I favorite all 3 parts. Thank you! :steamhappy:

Thanks for playing the series.

This last entry was terrific and had me puzzled for some time. Great map! Thank you for mapping.
Skyferret  [author] 6 Feb, 2020 @ 10:12pm
The trigger block is of course in the elevator but I guess the corners stick out a bit through the elevator body. I'll make sure to keep in mind to make it more narrow in the future.
voidify 6 Feb, 2020 @ 8:52pm
I FOUND A BUG. It's possible for the first elevator in this map to leave without the player. The first time I did this I thought it was a feature; I did it once more before realising it wasn't

Instructions to reproduce the bug: get to the platform, but instead of entering the elevator properly, hug the tube from the side, with the "ELEVATOR" sign in front of you on the right side of the screen. When the elevator comes, it will register the player's proximity to mean the player has gotten in, and leave, stranding the player

My brain was completely fried on the last puzzle. I had to cheat and watch the video to get it...

It makes you feel so stupid after watching it and knowing what to do. Nonetheless, really good series of levels.

Another friend of was able to get an increase to the limit of the size of an individual workshop item for a MASSIVE mod for Space Engineers. The process is probably similar, I'll have to ask him.

Also, I sent you a friend request so we can chat more easily if you like.
Skyferret  [author] 18 Jan, 2020 @ 5:10pm
I've heard of that but not sure how. Tech support I guess.
jlp1528 (Minty) 18 Jan, 2020 @ 4:48pm
If you're talking about a Valve cloud limit, I believe you can request a manual override increase to that.
Skyferret  [author] 18 Jan, 2020 @ 2:28pm
Haven't been making maps lately but I have some pending upload. I just need to make space in the cloud. Unfortunately it would require removing Hammer maps because those eat up the most space compared to PTI maps which only use about 7 to 8 megs. Removing PTI maps is like pulling just one brick out of a wall. We'll see what happens.

Literally going to play all of your maps after loving the challenge and clever tricks of the verticular series. Still making puzzles? Amazing to see the Portal 2 community test chamber collection is still growing even after all these years!
Skyferret  [author] 31 Dec, 2019 @ 10:45am
Not really a bug. I didn't anticipate a chair being brought there. Had I though of that I would have put physics blocking there. But thanks for playing.
electrofox61 31 Dec, 2019 @ 5:31am
I loved all 3 maps, although I experienced a bug where the chair blocked the elevator so I couldn't proceed, but I solved it. Picture of the bug if somebody is curious: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-qL1aU12K0i8ZNmyD8eof6oZcCVeKK9_/view?usp=sharing

Phew. That was tough! Took me way too long to realise how to get both cubes to the end. XD ...But all three maps were amazing! Good job!
Rooke 16 Dec, 2019 @ 6:37pm
Gah! I was over thinking it. Got it this time. Thank you very much for a very tricky map.
:steamhappy:

This map (2nd part) was too difficult. Even after watching the video. :steamfacepalm: Didn't have anymore time left to play... Had to do the cheat to complete. I still liked it. :steamhappy: Will try again next week when I have the time.
VPC_Walter 3 Dec, 2019 @ 6:42am
Part 3 is so cool. Although it suddenly becomes more difficult and has been stuck for several hours, the feeling after that is very good. Thank the map author for giving me such a good experience.

Elevator in the first room spawned on top of me when I entered the tube and prevented me from progressing.
