Just to show how you can make your own fun despite what I said (and this is a fun map already).

Thanks again for the map, Digressive. A well-designed and thoughtfully made map for simple no-stress hauling but with lots of few hidden features for those who look. Try hauling cargo back using no/least roads!

Sorry if I sounded negative, I should say that this is well made, well designed with a nice gradual increase in difficulty approaching the log yard. It's also the most realistic depiction of actual logging operations I've seen here. Some maps seem to be super hard because 'screw you'. I'm not dumping on this at all, in fact I think it's a great map for casual play or someone new to the game. If you're up there with super-hard russkie maps though, you won't be challenged.

Thanks for the suggestions, will certainly check them out.

PS I guess you can do this no AWD, but there are some steep hills with no winching that would defeat most heavily loaded trucks due to grade/lack of traction. C256 challenge maybe?
chickennugget1808 9 Dec, 2019 @ 5:28pm
is this map good with using trucks without awd?

Follow up since I capped the 1k word with my poor writing.

If you looking for something that is the same but way more complicated. I suggest you take a look at ravine.

And Ill PARK for the total exaggeration of my styles of bank. A Good test ground for the game physics.

This was my first map. I made this thinking it was likely the same physics as spintires. Yes it's easy and since i came here with that mind set i wanted a smooth ride. Which because it's far too easier would make it appealing too everyone. Mud is not my thing. In any map i make, you wont see much mud. Even do mud is far easier in mudrunner than spintires. I just dont feel the appeal...

I more like you said in bank or bend road. Make the truck use the road as a gravity physics. Since i am not into mud or trailing. I guess it's my rally sense that just see dirt road and i want to give it a shot.

Thank you for the informative comment. I will take note in case I decide to give a shot back at MR editor. I was already having thought about my style of road being to oblivious. I guess i made what i had to do. But will see lately i got some idea of how to make some variance without killing me softly. I may take action. And by the way thank you for not hating on the easiness.

Nice cruising map, would rate very very easy. No mud, huuuuge cleared perfect roads. A water hazard that doesn't even threaten your engine, and you can just... drive around. Blockposts that are trivial (you just drive a a few metres around them). The most trivial garage unlock I have ever seen (you literally just drive up to it). Shortcuts everywhere (I evaded a lot of bends by simply straight-lining off cliffs) The only real risk is drifting 50 tons of truck and trailer in auto down around sweeping bends and realising these trailers don't have any brakes at all - a good learning experience not often seen in this game.

No seriously, this is a doddle. You can land a 747 on this map no problem. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1933029025

Lots of fun for casual hauling and cruising. Some very pretty scenery from overlooking cliffs. Also drifting everywhere if that's your thing.

Im really surprise that it doing well. I thought since its not very hard people would jump to something more credible and/or impossible. But i guess my need of spintires was similar to a bunch peeps. I'm more then thrill to do more map. But from now on all the log map i do most likely wont have a lower difficulty than this map. If you dont go out of your safe zone you wont get in trouble and that is a bit tedious imo.
Gargozul 20 Sep, 2019 @ 3:51pm
The spirit of real spintires comes again. I was tired of all these trail cars. Thanks for this map!

Yeah i didnt want to go full crazy on my first log map. My next project might be much longer and hard but nothing near sadistic.
schlummisburg 20 Sep, 2019 @ 1:55am
Well, i like this one pretty much. Tricky to drive, yet not sadistic. :steamhappy:
