You're welcome. I'm happy the mod was useful to you.

I probably won't make any other changes to the units in this mod. I prefer to keep the tweaks I make as small and surgical as possible. It's not that I don't think Hammerers aren't overly squishy, because they are, it's just that any bigger rebalancing is outside the scope of what I want to do or am capable of. I'd just end up making a bunch of changes and breaking the balance entirely. Thanks for your comment though.

Thank you very much for the mod. I would like to ask you to consider raising the armor of the Hammerers to match it with that of the Ironbreakers since it is currently on a par with that of the Longbeards and it does not seem correct to me as the Hammerers are better armored Royal Guard units and much more expensive to maintain. Again, thank you very much for your work.

Updated. I also added splash attacks to the Hammerers RoR for consistency with the base version. I imagine there is a multiplayer reason for CA not doing so but whatever.

Yeah, my friend and I also use Kaedrin's and are able to co-op just fine. As long as you both are using the same mods, have them all up to date and are using the same load order than it works great for multiplayer campaigns. :D

We had to spend half an hour trouble shooting last time we played because it said there was a version mismatch. But one of us just had an out of date mod. So we both unsubscribed and resubscribed to the mod and it worked fine. :) So grateful the community is picking up the slack.

Updated the mod for the latest patch. Was hit by a burst of motivation so I figured out the necessary workaround, lol. I do wish the launcher wasn't such a piece of junk, though.

I slightly tweaked the amount of BvL the various units get, mostly tiny buffs. I am interested in the idea of adding Charge Bonus vs Large to Hammerers. It always annoyed me that Longbeards have it but Hammerers, their upgrade, don't. Unfortunately I couldn't figure out what table in the database handles such things. So for now that will remain a plan for the future!

Happy to hear it got updated! It sounds like quite an extensive mod. I respect people who are willing to tackle the task of modifying the entire roster so that the combat plays how they envision. However I am happy with vanilla balance for the most part, and prefer small, surgical changes, so I am not sure if I will use it. I do appreciate you sharing the link with me though. :)

I'm sorry to hear that other mod has stopped working. Thankfully this mod is very simple so it should continue to work indefinitely, even if I never touch it again. :)

Thank you so much for this mod my good sir the other mod I used to actually have capable anti large dwarfs in armour was the Glory Mod sadly it is not updated and it just crashes the game everytime so your mod comes in clutch hehe thank you so much

I don't use Radious. I believe it is a total overhaul, yeah? If Radious is also changing the damage/melee weapons table entries for the same units then yeah, they won't both be able to work. The game can only load one table entry to use, it isn't able to merge them.

You're welcome! I probably won't upload much or at all in the future. I do still make mods like those I have posted, and make changes to the mods that I have uploaded in the past, but I no longer upload that stuff since the launcher broke. But if you want to make sure you do not miss anything I might post just click on "Controcetica's Workshop" at the top of the screen and it'll take you to a list of all my uploads where you can just hit the follow button on the right side of the screen. You'll need winrar or 7zip or winzip to extract it. I just extracted it to a folder on my desktop. You just run the included exe when you want to play Warhammer 2 instead of launching through steam, though steam must still be running. If you need more help for setup just send me a friend request and I will try my best to explain through the chat.

At most, updating a mod simply consists of updating the values in my tables. If the Dwarf Greataxe was buffed in a patch to have +1 AP damage that change would not be reflected with my mod until I edit my tables to also have that change. But the mod would still work. Updating this mod just means keeping values consistent with any patches at most. Most of the time it just means clicking "update" in the launcher to upload the exact same file already on the servers. However ever since the current launcher was introduced mods don't seem to update unless their size changes. The size of this mod will never change. There are workarounds, like embedding a picture in the mod, but I can't be bothered learning how to do them, since it isn't necessary for the mod to work.

So, a lot of the information for these games in stored in glorified excel spreadsheets known as the database. One such table contains the stats for all melee weapons. This mod includes a table with an entry for each of the affected weapons, and it works by overwriting the entries in the database with my modified entries. Essentially I include a copy of each weapon, such as the Dwarf Greataxe, and just add a bonus vs large value to it. Now, even if an update changes the exact weapons I modify, my mod will still work. It will just be applying the "old" values for the weapon + the bonus vs large values I added.

Are you using Kaedrin's Mod Manager? The official launcher is broken. Not only does it often refuse to update mods, it also isn't able to properly turn mods on and off correctly. That said I have been using Total War mods extensively for years, since Rome II, and I can say that in my experience there are simply a lot of relatively simple, straight forward mods that will never need to be updated. This is one of them. I strongly recommend trying out Kaedrin's Manager.

you know its crazy, i seem to be the only who cant get a mod to work if its not the same version, turning off every other mod and just running yours and it still doesn't apply the effect, when i asked a friend he said that CA puts code into their games so old mods are disabled anyway, but because they aren't that good at coding in the first place in only applies to some people and not everyone, don't know if i believe that but it would be some kind of explanation for why "outdated" mods have never worked for me

I'm pretty sure it's possible to give the Dwarfs the rage mechanic, yeah, though it would be a lot more work than this tiny mod. But I'm not sure it make sense, from a gameplay perspective, to give the Dwarfs a roster-wide buff like that, especially when it is currently Norsca's unique thing. I'm not familiar with the Dwarfs lore, so I dunno if they do have a rage mechanic in the lore or TT. But not all factions can be represented faithfully. Like, I've heard the Lizardmen Saurus are meant to be unbreakable terminator-like monsters who fight like machines, but they aren't in game because that would be super OP. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Could you also give the dwarfs the rage mechanic? I always found it odd that Norsca gets that but the Dwarfs do not. It is kinda their thing, to fight harder the more they fight.

I could, but I don't want to. I only like to make mods I want to have active in my own campaigns, and I have no interest in adding BvI to Slayers. Their whole point, from a gameplay and lore perspective, is that they seek out the biggest, toughest, meanest sons of bitches to either kill or be killed by. These guys just aren't who you send when you need to mulch a shield wall or whatever. Sorry.

Sorry to hear. It's working on my machine. I recommend you download Kaedrin's Mod Manager, details here https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1399787504 . Note that you should read the description and download from the github linked there, not the workshop. The default launcher is broken as heck for Warhammer 2 (though it works for Three Kingdoms somehow) and among other things has trouble enabling and disabling multiple mods lol. I've been using Kaedrin's for a few updates and it works great.

If you are already using Kaedrin's and it still isn't working than sorry to hear. As I said it works on my machine and I can't even "update" it through the launcher to make it stop registering as out of date with the current launcher. As I understand it you can no longer update a mod if the file size doesn't change. The file size of this mod will never change, so no updates are possible. This also includes balance changes unfortunately.
