That would have supported any mod by default, you just pick the factions you want to play with and against. The loot from which factions you want to spawn and then you just play with that.
You can find it on the dev branch of the bulwark github. However there are a few bugs still.
I had followed the same instructions as Parabellum noted below from Hilltop's tutorial but I'm unable to change any map successfully. The main difference between this and the 'origina' bulwark is that I downloaded the file from github and extracted it. For this I'm just copying and pasting the mission file from the saved MPmission file and changing the name from swu greece.. to the new map name.
Has anyone been able to successfully change the map? If so is there something I'm missing?
subscribe to the workshop page
launch arma and click multiplayer>server browser
click "host server" on top of your screen and then again on the host server button (no need to change any settings)
Find WW2 Pella Region,Greece in the map list and select it
Select the Dynamic Bulwark mission in the mission list and click play
Take a slot and press ok (it now downloaded the mission file and saved it)
You can now close arma again if you want to, everything else will now happen outside of the game
Go to C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles\*your username*\Saved\steamMPMission (path might be slightly different for you)
Here you will find the dynamic bulwark mission (sort by last changed if you have trouble finding it)
Now you can follow Hilltops tutorial, just instead of downloading the folder from Github you use the one you found in step 9
I don't plan on updating this, instead i am working on another version of bulwark which is very modified in many aspects of the gamemode.
It also includes a preset system combining the different bulwark versions together.
So instead of having WW2 bulwark, cold war bulwark, vanilla bulwark it is all one thing and you can switch between different versions via mission parameter. Some people already play on my version and its mostly done. It was/is supposed to be merged into official, however devs are busy so i might just do it myself anyway. I pick up work on it soon again and do the finishing touches as well as bring up to 1.5.2.
"To play this mission in single or multiplayer host a local or internet game, select the map and start the mission."
Released a test version for all the upcoming changes. It is playable, just requires a bit more testing until i can consider it finished.
That version combines vanilla, GM, and my WW2 version together. And potentially more, since its much easier to edit different units and limit loot to certain mods.
Help me testing and report bugs!
Make sure there is no extra folder in the mission folder.
It should be mpmissions\mission.mapname\all the mission files here
I will get those fixes and features done within the next few weeks hopefully.
You can follow some of that here: https://github.com/tiwaz1994/DynamicBulwarks
Some of those new features include:
- special wave paramter to make every wave a special wave
- easier way of editing out specific special waves if you don't like them
- non repeating special waves, makes it so you can't get the same special wave again until you had every possible special wave
- indepth control over loot spawn
- weapons spawn with different amount of ammo based on weapon type (for example MG's spawn with less ammo and rifles with more)
- the loot changes would allow for some intresting more dynamic special waves, not if i do that now though
- supply drops can now refill grenade launcher ammo
