I made my own mod for some friends and I've made it public for anyone interested in something like this since this does not appear to be updated. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=690690979

To the owner of this mod, if you come back to this or would simply like this comment removed, no problem!

Aw damn, alright. But fair enough.
mate0815  [author] 3 Jan, 2017 @ 5:28am
its an (balance-)equivalent for loosing republican tradition in republics and legitimacy in monarchies. first is necessary for balancing republics and for the other govtypes i was looking for an equivalent - for monarchies i would it translate with absence of the heir/ruler for studies in universities or for hordes: they have more a look of physical strength than knowledge or such things. ;)
but the real reason is: these losses are necessary to balancing the ai not improving too much nor wasting too much monarchpoints.
Dragon of Desire 2 Jan, 2017 @ 6:50pm
Can I have a reason why you reduce claim's strength when they learn? I mean, come on, hriing private tutors should NOT reduce their strength...
JJ 29 Dec, 2016 @ 12:52pm
The AI is constantly improving their heir's and ruler's stats. It's challenging for me, so that's good.
mate0815  [author] 1 Dec, 2016 @ 12:53pm
i thought i had choosen the periods that way. esp. over 4 it should only be possible to increase it max. 3-4 times, so a heir must have starting levels from 3-4 to become a 6/6/6.

maybe some of the last patches make it more possible to get such good heirs more often.

thx for your comment - i will observe it for some times..
Koopa 1 Dec, 2016 @ 7:06am
i like the mod but 6/6/6 leaders become quite common this way. don't know how other people see it but how about a longer period for “in school” so we maybe will only have time to increase 3-4 points? just on my mind. don't know if i would really prefer it that way ^^

AvikemArruters 14 Oct, 2016 @ 12:13am
is it still online?
I'm InDaSkies 1 Aug, 2016 @ 5:29pm
Wish there was a mod that made it so I would have the same name of a ruler
Example: InDaSkies, InDaSkies II, InDaSkies III, InDaSkies IIII
I can't have things like that on Iron mode, but in the normal one I can cheat, which I don't like doing...
I'm InDaSkies 1 Aug, 2016 @ 5:26pm
A cool idea, I'll have to check this one out...
PengBak 4 Jul, 2016 @ 11:14pm

update for patch 1.16

have fun and don´t forget to vote.
mate0815  [author] 9 Mar, 2016 @ 5:30pm
there are three reasons for that:
- you have not enough mp to use it. on gamestart thats often the case if your ruler is a relative good one.
- you are using another mod along HaREM which overwrites my entry in on_action events. this blocks a correction event which changes a heir-modifier into a ruler_modifier after inauguration. if the normal time of the heir-modifier is over, all will working as it should.
- you are playing a nation with a primitive government: for those rulers only one step of training up to level 4 is possible. if your ruler is better then skill 3, the decision is blocked. thats one of restrictions to prevent from wasting too much mp - "primitive" rulers often die before the age of 40.
Hyperspearman.Swf - TheRyuSword 9 Mar, 2016 @ 2:27pm
I have what I think is a glitch. Starting king/queen for me can't use the decisions like one of their descendents.
Ixiguis 23 Feb, 2016 @ 10:33am
Nevermind. Apparently the mod was activated in the launcher, but it wasn't really. Restarting EUIV solved it.
Ixiguis 23 Feb, 2016 @ 9:28am
The education decisions aren't showing up. My (stupid) heir is 7 years old. Any ideas?
Cryyc 22 Feb, 2016 @ 10:08pm
Ok good to hear. Thx mate!
mate0815  [author] 22 Feb, 2016 @ 4:04am
i can´t see why not. the only thing is more a cosmetic issue: if a heir becomes ruler until he is in training, an on_action-event converting the heir-modifier to a ruler-modifier. if that doesn´t fire, the heir-modiifers stay until it ends.
and some restrictions for governments will not working as ET making own types. but generally it should work with ET.
Cryyc 21 Feb, 2016 @ 11:55pm
So HaREM doesn't work with Extended Timeline Mod anymore?

Alien from Mars 22 Jan, 2016 @ 5:36am
Been looking for a mod like this.
Cheers man
mate0815  [author] 31 Dec, 2015 @ 9:01am
ah, thats what you meant. there is not really muchi can do - some names and titles are too long for the interface. but for functionalty its not needed.
and i like it to have a little bit medieval look&feel and not only "educate heir" or "train ruler" shown in decissions. if your heir get a shorter name its shown completly. ;)
Snowduck 31 Dec, 2015 @ 6:48am
well this bug does not stop me from educating my heir but there is some text behind the rest of the decisions.
mate0815  [author] 31 Dec, 2015 @ 5:01am
hi snowduck,
i´m not sure if i understand you right.
are the options "greyed out"? if so, hover your mouse over the questionmark and take a look, if you fullfill all requirements (age of heir, enough monarchpoints, not at woar etc.)
or can you not see the decisions ´cause of ugly sorts?
Snowduck 30 Dec, 2015 @ 8:13pm
Hey im using your mod and all the heirs options are blocked behind other decisions
spandsm 5 Dec, 2015 @ 9:03am
Hi mate0815
I am glad to hear that. Take your time and good luck with the balancing :D
mate0815  [author] 5 Dec, 2015 @ 8:48am
hi spandsm
i need some more time for that.
observations for balancing and some work on my other mod (dynamized development) are my priorities. adaptions for other mods will come after that, i´m afraid not before christmas.
spandsm 5 Dec, 2015 @ 8:26am
I love your mod so much. Finally I can say goodbye to the stupid 1/1/1 rulers. Also could you update the special version for ET mod? Thank you.
mate0815  [author] 4 Dec, 2015 @ 1:39pm
hi alrossan,
yes it is possible, for heirs i introduced that with newest version.
will check it for next version and maybe only make it for AI impossible as a part of balancing restrictions.
thx for suggestion.
Alrossan 4 Dec, 2015 @ 1:22pm
I feel like this should have been in the base game. There is a lot of risk reward to this system. Like spending all those point just to have him die the next year. Still love it though.

Though, is it possible through editing the files that you can educate your ruler even through war so long as he isn't a general or attached to an army? I doubt it is possible but thought I would ask.

Keep up the splendid work!
mate0815  [author] 3 Dec, 2015 @ 11:40am
update for patch 1.14.1:
- first version with direct manipulations of heirs
- at the moment no other restrictions than time for heir education by human players. this could be changed after some balancing tests in the future

have fun and don´t forget to vote.
mate0815  [author] 1 Dec, 2015 @ 6:21am
after introducing new possibilities of direct manipulations for heirs with patch 1.14 i will make a major rework of this mod. some times i need for this.

i hope at weekend a revised version will be publish.
