@Rebeccah S2 thank you did really well on creating the mod and it came in really handy before they changed how the refrigerator consumes power when it is idel. I'm sorry for the very late comment
Desamona 23 May, 2021 @ 5:54pm
@RebeccahS2 I ended up copying it as a local mod and added a yaml file, after some internet digging. It would still be cool if you updated the mod, but I totally get and understand mod-life and the learning curve. :D
For anyone that's interested, the instructions on how to make this compatible with the new Spaced Out DLC is here:
https://github.com/soerenkk/ONI-Old-mods-for-DLC
It's only local so it's up to the individual to monitor the build updates, and update the yaml file accordingly, as needed. Happy duping!

with the changes in spaced out to CO2 and chlorine pits not working very well anymore, fridges have become a requirement or Vacuum storage tricks.....really hated vacuum tricks but since this mod is not spaced out compatible, going to be using the vacuum tricks now....sad face.

@Desamona, sorry, bro. I'm not a programmer. It was so hard to make that
Desamona 18 May, 2021 @ 4:53pm
Would you be willing to make this compatible with the new Spaced Out DLC?
I would be very, very grateful!!!

这个MOD将冰箱的耗电从120W降低至20W
Enlonwhite 5 Dec, 2020 @ 7:44am
Yeah the CO2 pit trick is just too good, a cheap fridge made me acutally use it.
ChainedDjinn 24 Nov, 2020 @ 1:01pm
Funny story, I'm here because I was looking up 'shine bugs' for tweaks.
But hey, cheap fridge? Wth, I'LL TAKE IT!
Player Name 11 Nov, 2020 @ 2:52pm
Who is else is here cuz they realized digging a pit for food was dumb >.<
Magicão  [author] 26 Mar, 2020 @ 9:57am
@Juggernaut, no i'm not a modder or programmer
Juggernaut 24 Mar, 2020 @ 1:11pm
can you make the Refrigerator stock Ice?
Coin786 7 Feb, 2020 @ 3:14pm
this will help me keep my base runing in the early game
Magicão  [author] 30 Dec, 2019 @ 8:21am
@Sentry Ward I'm not a modder, it was so hard to make this
Sentry Ward 27 Dec, 2019 @ 12:07pm
@Sr. Pombo What do you think about another version of your mod with CO2 refrigerator pipe intake?
Reasoning: I doesn't like abusing game engine(like chlorine room/refrigerator inside vacuum airlock), so if we can use something like real life industrial co2 refrigerators, this will be nice. Or just refrigerator with both 4*C and sterile atmo :)

It's all rather complicated anyway because one has to divide so much time by even more time and one could miss to note W out as Wh, twice (with one being kWh not kW). In context though one could easily make sense of it.

The refrigerator I'd like and which is basically equivalent to ONI's 120kg one consumes 270 Wh per day i.e /24=11.25 Wh => if constantly cooling like in ONI, it would be with 11.25W(s). The other, huge one, would be constantly using 60W. Again, refrigerators don't constantly run unless they are gaining heat more quickly.

All we really need to know is that if you got something said to consume 1000W, each hour of constant usage should increment an electric meter by 1kWh which is the unit businesses use to make business with energy. 1kWh should on average cost... little or much depending on the source. Damn would I be glad if it'd only cost 8c where I am but alas it costs 29c instead. Gas is also cheaper elsewhere... 3.5c per kWh instead of 8.

@brokencygnus He is actually talking about Watt hours. Watt hours per hour is a complicated way of saying Watts. =)
brokencygnus 13 Oct, 2019 @ 3:37am
@SakuraKoi that's not how energy works. W is a measure of energy flow per second (J/s). W per hour doesn't make sense.

@kahlzun, since I am actually looking for reducing my own bills for hopefully understandable reasons, I can tell that no fridge should use 120W constantly (heck, I am always annoyed when mine is louder than the gas of my stove). Even a massive Samsung RS-G5PUPN (over 600L combined) does only need 1,4kW each day which means only ~60W each hour.

Personally I am considering a Liebherr TP 1724 since it has a fair size (125+18L) and needs only 270W each day. Spend 27,44 € or 143,36 € per year? I take two full priced games rather~
geniusthemaster 22 Sep, 2019 @ 7:19pm
now i havea reason to turn off safe mode and actually farm. thanks for this :)
Magicão  [author] 22 Sep, 2019 @ 9:46am
@kahlzun I'm not a programmer, but if you know how can I do this, tell me
kahlzun 22 Sep, 2019 @ 1:58am
Does it also change how quickly it cools down the stuff put into it? Real fridges use a fair amount of power, usually in the 100-200 W range
Stroym 20 Sep, 2019 @ 9:56am
@Jimmy @Gregaulait If there are buildings that are not included in either of those, you can pretty easily add them with https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1818138009 There's a bunch of other options, but you don't have to use those. (You can also set some buildings to rotate instead of mirroring. You can also mirror vertically.)
Super Toaster 18 Sep, 2019 @ 3:49pm
Sweet mod, always thought 120W was a little ridiculous
Jimmy 16 Sep, 2019 @ 8:46am
Gregaulait:
Ahhh, thx very much. I was actually using a "Rotate everything" mod, and wondered if it would get updated since it rotated a lot of things, but some were missing, more and more as updates went :) . Actually I was about to look onto this and look for any other mod - I dont have to anymore :D
Dr. Renard 16 Sep, 2019 @ 6:58am
@Jimmy There is already a mod for this called mirror everything : https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1717910164 :steamhappy:
Magicão  [author] 16 Sep, 2019 @ 6:49am
@Jimmy maybe one day, I'm not a programmer, to do this mod was so hard for me, now I'm trying to create a settings file
Jimmy 16 Sep, 2019 @ 5:28am
Cool, finally a more realistic power input. Thx.
And if you could also make it rotatable, it would be perfect. Since it clearly have an orientation, then building simetric rooms is ... as many of ONI players like to do :D :) .
SharraShimada 15 Sep, 2019 @ 5:43pm
@Haze33E sure, but if you want the automation signal triggered, it needs power.
Magicão  [author] 15 Sep, 2019 @ 1:17pm
Yes this game have a bad power system
Goldobsidian 15 Sep, 2019 @ 1:08pm
THANK YOU! 120W was rediculus expecially for how little storage it was
