So this mod - then dei parts.
Still works with DEI
Would be extremely grateful if it could be updated to work, thanks, it looks soooo silly with all that "bling".
The mod was updated. The new version of the mod removes floating hammers and experience symbol. You just need to subcribe the mod here, on steamworkshop. It's no longer necessary to provide an external download.
@p6kocka
Yes :).
This new version in more compatible with patch 17, however, some of the features will no longer work:
- It's no longer possible to remove the floating hammers in the campaign map
- The symbol that appears above units/armies/agents when they gain experience
- The new icons that I created above raiding navies and armies in forced march don't work anymore.
It was the new patch 17. This new patch does not allow you to publish mods set to run before the game files. This feature is crucial for the mod.
@allennguyen93
Just use the Pack File Manager (https://sourceforge.net/projects/packfilemanager/) , open the mod and take a look on files :). They are in the folder "UI".

I have windows 10 maybe .. someone else its using windows 10 to rule out?
For now, I can't do anything else to fix the "steam version". The future of this version relies on CA. Let's hope that CA releases some patch in the future to make the .vfx files to be recognised as mod files by the game. Until then, please download and install the mod manually.
Thank you so much for this.
Please try the new version available here: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?618873-Arcade-graphical-effects-removal&p=13215304 .
New campain... Rome... Stupid hammers floating over my cities... grrrrr..
Oh well... Attila best not have this as well...
second doesn't might be me though.
Unzip and paste both files (.pack and .bmp file) in the main game folder (C:\...\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War Rome II\data).
It's working on my computer. Please tell me if this works for you.
From reading, it is to do with the patch updates.... god damn it..!
looks like the rubbish graphics are here to stay...
I really dont know why the makers of Rome 2 thought it was a good idea in the first place... Its not street fighter.. !
The first ever Rome was designed as a realisitc war time battle game.. I can not ever recall seeing a lvl up green arrow in any war in real life.
haha
Sadly it does not work :(
I put it in the data folder - when I launch, I can see it (unticked) in the RTW mod manager list. But ticked or not, no joy :(
No harm is done to the game.. so if it works for you, great... it doen't for me. :(
I hate the Archade affects!!!
