max.94  [author] 31 May, 2023 @ 3:34am

Henrique Lique 21 Apr, 2023 @ 12:54pm
Any chance of having this without the rivers? I'm playing classic rework and they change the map so navigable rivers will bug.
runner 22 Jul, 2022 @ 7:57am
Cool! Thanks for the update!
max.94  [author] 22 Jul, 2022 @ 5:07am
oh yeah I missed the not quite complete changelog
TrJacobin 21 Jul, 2022 @ 4:39pm
Wondering all the details of your new update :)
max.94  [author] 21 Jul, 2022 @ 3:02pm
New update is out with unsuitable barbaricum in the north, new region-borders and some map changes - breaking all savegames! For this please download this old mod version from before 22.07.22 (mod version 2.9) https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2838505925
max.94  [author] 21 Jul, 2022 @ 6:28am
Hey @runner, i'm very sorry but there is no "clean" way for you to continue with your old save. I will release a big new update also breaking savegames tomorrow (21.07) so if you wanna start a new one, I highly recommend to do so after update is out - but I will add an additional mod version to workshop with the actual mod-version!
runner 21 Jul, 2022 @ 6:08am
Hi max! Just came back to play imperator again and loaded up an old save from january. Ive noticed, that the technology tree have changed and my tech is all mixed up now. Is there a way to keep playing the old save? Thank you for your continuing work on this awesome mod though!
Oshidashi 23 May, 2022 @ 1:35pm
Thanks for letting the cultural decisions penalty stack. I expect this to make it harder to snowball all uncolonized lands as a tribe from the North Sea to the Danube and all the way to the Bosporian Kingdom during the early game. Also great to see you're still making updates. Danke schön!
max.94  [author] 16 May, 2022 @ 7:16am
@Erkli Pasha, I will add more Character Interactions for ministers or party leaders time to time when i've good ideas - thank you!
TrJacobin 16 May, 2022 @ 7:04am
Love that characters are getting more interactive options, I really think these add to the at peace and politics game :) Looking forward to more if you're planning on adding more interactions :)
max.94  [author] 14 May, 2022 @ 5:49am
Update is out, have a look on new Tyranny-scaling-decay and Character-Interactions esp. with Monarchies - very interesting are new Interactions with your High Priest(The OmenPower-Guy) and in Mons/Tribes with your Bodyguard to push Political Influence and Tyranny
max.94  [author] 30 Apr, 2022 @ 9:24am
In the update today I rebalanced many deities and cultural decisions:
ATTENTION: If you give Cultures Rights by Cultural Decisions, the -5% PrimaryCultureHappiness are now stacking!
max.94  [author] 27 Apr, 2022 @ 10:59am
@Erkli Pasha, thanks for the suggestion, I thought about it by have to deny for multiplayer purpose - but you can insert the strait manualy in your mod-folder: open \Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\859580\1873862752\map_data the "adjacencies.csv" and insert "64;467;sea;2533;2120;2235;2180;2250;Strait of Otranto" at the end of the file(or any other place) - i recommend you to save the file even outside of the foulder so next time I update the mod, the only thing youve to do is to replace the new file by you backuped one
TrJacobin 27 Apr, 2022 @ 9:31am
Hi Max! Awesome political changes, makes the game much more fun to play while not at war or something...also, it seems to have somewhat solved everyone becoming a populares, I get more optimates too now...

Quick question, not sure if this can be a mod thing, but I find that the party requests of the factions are always boring (grant holdings, secure investment etc). I hardly ever see a request for war, break alliance, or something dramatic to really want you to force a veto...

Another, small suggestion, can Epirus and Italy have a strait connection? Epirus can then get involved in southern italy (fails because of no navy usually!)
max.94  [author] 19 Apr, 2022 @ 3:17pm
ATTENTION: After my new update, the game will crash if you do not enable "The Punic Wars"-DLC - but the DLC is for free, so just get it!
Oshidashi 7 Feb, 2022 @ 10:20am
@max.94 No I did not. I realized that I should, but my campaign was just too interesting to stop :) But yeah, I'm going to start a new campaign now on Hard, which should reduce tags dramatically. Thanks!
max.94  [author] 7 Feb, 2022 @ 2:13am
@Oshidashi, are you playing on "Hard" as recommended? It's necessary for AI handle my changes.
Oshidashi 7 Feb, 2022 @ 1:45am
This mod, together with Simple Timeline Extender, makes for such fun games! It beats Invictus for me. My only concern, now that I'm arriving at late game, is that my game will crash. That's because there is said to be a hardcoded limit of 2.500 nation tags. Exceeding that is said to result in a crash. I haven't experienced it yet, but almost every nation has been suffering from revolts in my game and I feel like I'm getting close to that dreaded number. Anyone else already experienced this and/or know of a solution?
max.94  [author] 6 Feb, 2022 @ 6:03am
@runner, in early game there might be not enough Not-Food-Goods for all Traderoutes, and AI wont just fill up free tradeslots with food if they do not need it
runner 24 Dec, 2021 @ 6:41am
Thanks for the answer! Another thing I notice, is that the AI is not filling up their trade routes. Do you know what's the reason?
max.94  [author] 11 Dec, 2021 @ 1:32pm
@runner, unfortunatly I cannot change Mercenary Start Morale or their specific morale recovery - for using Mercenaries you should be small (CityStates+LocalPowers get a big discount), have Heritage/Traditions for Discounts like Gadir in extreme or have just much money and not so much manpower. Yes for the first months you need much money to push their morale, but dont forget you can pillage enemy lands also with mercenaries to get the money back. However, with great empires in late game, the costs for mercs are not so high anymore, than the cap will limit you more.

In general, because Mercenaries are quite useful for warfare because avoiding bad war exhaustion and manpower usage, I'm more in a restrictive attitude though.
runner 11 Dec, 2021 @ 10:55am
How are you supposed to use mercenaries? They have an extremely high monthly cost, that empties your treasury quickly, yet they need to stand around for like half a year to get to high morale. I only have been using it with nations, where I could get their maintenance cost to zero like italiote states or gadir. I would like, if their hiring cost would be high and their maintenance low( then i could see myself making use of the mercenary cap), or if they would start out with max morale. As it stands, only an extremely prosperous nation is able to use them, besides the ai of course . With a nation like epiros for example I can't even hope to have enough for a mercenary regiment.
runner 10 Dec, 2021 @ 12:56pm
Hey max! Just wanted to say again ; great mod! Still playing it. I've tried invictus, but can't play it without your changes.
max.94  [author] 21 Nov, 2021 @ 3:03am
@E, if you do not take the Terrain Combat Modifiers decision at start, AI will take it - and all countries get it. So it's a feature for everybody :)
Eskimo 21 Nov, 2021 @ 1:50am
Should I take the combat modifiers decision as the game starts? Does all AI countries take it? Because it looks like it nerfs only my country.
Eskimo 21 Nov, 2021 @ 1:15am
Yeah I love it but Imperator made good musics too man :D
max.94  [author] 21 Nov, 2021 @ 12:42am
@E, thats the good old Rome Total War Music! :O
Eskimo 20 Nov, 2021 @ 3:16pm
Good except the music
max.94  [author] 11 Nov, 2021 @ 3:57pm
For everybody who began a new game on 10th/11th november, you can take this mod to play it again - the main mod might broke the savegame because I had to reverse the Mainmod-Version for MP https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2650831205
max.94  [author] 11 Nov, 2021 @ 11:57am
ATTENTION! I had to reverse the updated River-Changes because of problems in Multiplayer!
Savegames you made since yesterday might be corrupted!
Oshidashi 22 Oct, 2021 @ 8:50am
Just finished a timelapse to see how this mod shapes the world. Tribes AI's seem to handle the changes very well, them being very active, with truly frightening waves of migrant armies sweeping Germany, until they themselves are forced further south, putting pressure on settled tribes, of which a few managed to form autocratic governments. A few tribes, like Treveria, started founding cities relatively early on. Rome and Carthage were the only stable familiar empires, but didn't manage to hold on to more than their extended core territories, although towards end date, Rome started expanding again. I'm going to attempt to add one thing I'm missing in all mods, being the two Germanic tribes that occupied current day the Netherlands, being Batavia and Canninefate. Very helpfull that you listed the steam ID number, thanks!
max.94  [author] 22 Oct, 2021 @ 2:43am
@Oshidashi thank you!
Oshidashi 22 Oct, 2021 @ 2:26am
This is great. I was making a list of mods and made a small mod myself to add my preferred flavour, but this mod lists all the changes I knew I wanted and that I didn't know I always wanted. I started a game and it so far looks great, your work is much appreciated!
max.94  [author] 20 Oct, 2021 @ 5:32am
Major Update 2.5: Decision for Terrain-Combat-Modifications added - great impact on warfare especially in Mountains, Marshes, Forests and Jungles! Also made some Map-Improvements e.g many more hills and forests in Spain or Germania. Made many Wonder-Effects more attractive! Salt is mineable now! Added a Character Interaction to fight your Rulers corruption! And added 2 savegames you can load through Multiplayer-loading for an easier approach - one without any DLCs! For more informations, have a look to the Changelog!
max.94  [author] 20 Sep, 2021 @ 4:03am
Smaller update: Military Laws and sources for levies rebalanced, oratory tech trees are more interesting, decision for democratic republic added and attention! Military Experience by disbanding levies just available after 2 years! For more Info look to the Changelogs!

max.94  [author] 24 May, 2021 @ 8:10am
@christoph14052002, Unfortunatly these mods can not be compatible with the "Stratera Balance" easily and a compatible version would not keep the promise of balance. Thanks to the balanced buildings and laws, I currently don't see the need for integration those mods inside mine. With all the charm that the two mods undoubtedly have.
CB4 24 May, 2021 @ 7:57am
could you integrate or make a compability patch/mod for both "improved buildings 2.0" and "bigger government - more offices & laws"? Both of these would make a fine addition.
max.94  [author] 14 May, 2021 @ 4:50pm
@Erkli Pasha, i think that personnel decisions in republics are already limited enough from a political point of view. Higher Lack of player influence would restrict the balance between monarchies and tribes too much, so I don't think integrating the mod is suitable.
