Hi daniu -TLG-

if I'm not wrong you are the person who created PFM 3.5.0 right?
If so, please could you bring out an update?
My problem's are that I can't open some data's in TWA - specially the culture_settlement_occupation ...and equal which version of PFM I download - I always got the 3.5.0 and not the 3.5.1 - is that a bug, or did I something wrong?

hope you could help me

greetings

why dont u just use "v" or "C" to tilt the camera (@waywardz)
Wayz 23 Feb, 2014 @ 4:09pm
any chance the angle of the camera to tilt a few degrees as default?
when zoomed in it would be pefect POV from troops level etc.
if not all good ...cant play rome without your mod ether way now lol.

simple mods are often the best
loved this mod on shogun2 hope its as good here
Nero 18 Dec, 2013 @ 6:09pm
patch 8?
golan 8 Dec, 2013 @ 4:30pm
Dude, I've been using this for like 3 or 4 patches already :). There's one issue with it, the zoom is no longer progressive, You either go close to the troops, closer then vanilla, or when you scroll up (using the mouse scroll or keys) it jumps right to a high level. Is anybody else getting this, can I workaround this in anyway?

Thanks for this Daniu!

@Shogun that is not an effect of the mod but of the camera type you're using. Change it to "Classic Camera" in the options.
Shogun 4 Nov, 2013 @ 7:28pm
you know when you set a custom camera angle with MMB, to look over walls/hills etc, when you use zoom it resets the camera angle to default. this is super annoying.

it would be amazing if you could look into the possibilty of fixing this.
ImperatorTiberius 2 Nov, 2013 @ 2:10pm
Okay, I see. Yeah I love the clipping too. Like in Shogun, it's easy for when you want to make a video. Like on a wall, or inside an occupied gatehouse.

And I never actually click on the minimap... I simply zoom out and zoom in again, or even use the birds-eye view that CA presented with Rome.

Also idk if this is still possible in Rome, but in Shogun you could click on you own faction-logo in the bottom of the screen, highlighting all units with a color indicating teams. Beats the minimap for me any day. But I havent played Rome enough, went back to shogun after things were still not good enough after patch 4.

Gonna try your mod anyway, why not :)
Do I have to get rid of the debug cam before use?
daniu -TLG-  [author] 2 Nov, 2013 @ 1:58am
@Tiberius I find it preferrable to the debug cam because it still lets you pan by clicking on the minimap. Also, the noclip can be irritating.
Matter of taste I guess.
ImperatorTiberius 1 Nov, 2013 @ 7:52pm
Why is this mod? Don't total war players just use the debug cam?

By the way, why CA doesn't just give that option ingame idk...
splen 22 Oct, 2013 @ 4:03pm
@ golan & daniu - yep, that's my mod :)
Andreven 21 Oct, 2013 @ 10:56pm
This is a really excellent mod. However, it does cause scrolling up and down on the battle map to be far too sensitive, fine-tuning the camera angle would be easier at the default scroll sensitivety.
Also, you should mention in the description that this mod will not cause the camera to be able to go under the map like the debug camera does, since that is part of why this mod is preferable to the debug camera.
daniu -TLG-  [author] 21 Oct, 2013 @ 12:20pm
@golan I think there is a campain camera mod out there already.
golan 21 Oct, 2013 @ 11:49am
Can you make it work in the campaign as well? :)
golan 21 Oct, 2013 @ 10:56am
Good job, zoom in is just about right, now I can zoom out freely. Sweeeet.
Armagoron 21 Oct, 2013 @ 12:51am
Great this was one of the things that was really bugging me. thnx for fixing this
daniu -TLG-  [author] 20 Oct, 2013 @ 11:27pm
@AzureSpecter It's almost impossible that it was this mod that broke your game. I'm not sure what you mean by "which file", it's an additional file in Rome 2's data folder (camerazoom_r2.pack). You can try deleting it, but I'm all but certain it won't fix your issue.
Azure 20 Oct, 2013 @ 2:35pm
Hmm... can you tell me what files this mod affected? Even after unsubscribing I still can't start the battle my campaign is currently in. The game was running fine 12 hours ago, and none of the other mods I have were updated in that time.
Azure 20 Oct, 2013 @ 2:19pm
Crashes every time I try to start the battle. I'd really like this mod, however, so hopefully you can fix it up.
quandarian 20 Oct, 2013 @ 9:12am
Very nice
