ah thank you

It's not a mod, just a blueprint.
BeardedDragon 24 Oct, 2021 @ 8:39am
Has anyone had an issue subscribing to these Mods and them not showing up in the Mod list? or am i missing something?
ceilyurie 24 Sep, 2021 @ 11:26am
excuse me while I subscribe to all your non-clang weapon blueprints. Imagine what these can do with weaponcore weapons...

Both whips script and diamond dome apparently support hinges already, I guess I need to make a new hinge powered turret now :D
Blade Viridian 4 Jul, 2020 @ 10:45pm
yo imagine this with the hinges in the game now!
Arbiter1223 7 Nov, 2019 @ 3:14pm
Ah, that seems very doable! Thank you! :D

And attach the gun part to the elevation rotor of course
Major Jon  [author] 7 Nov, 2019 @ 12:04pm
It's sadly really difficult. What you could do is paste this in in a creative world separate the 2 subgrids (simply detach the rotors) and blueprint them. Then you can print them and attach them to the large grid rotor which you would have to build yourself. The naming and rotors angles should be conserved, you just have to name the big rotor "Rotor Azimuth" and put it in the DDS Turrets group.
Arbiter1223 7 Nov, 2019 @ 11:41am
Is there an easy way to build this and your other DDS turrets in Survival mode? The subgrids make using Projectors VERY difficult, and building these turrets from scratch would be time consuming as well as error-prone with the specific part naming.

Don't get me wrong, these turrets look AWESOME, and I'd love to outfit my Survival ships with these bad boys. Any help would be appreciated!

This blueprint is pretty much nothing more than a gatling gun on rotors. The script is responsible for what it shoots at and I think they just mirror the designator turret, so if the that is set to target missiles, these custom turrets should too, in theory, shoot at them. I have some other turrets in the collection, but they just have more gatlings. You can try one of the other 2 scripts for rotor turrets, maybe they work better in your case. This turret is definitely compatible with those. For the links just look a few comments further down.

Ive tried this in creative trying to see how viable it is for missiles and most of the time, they dont seem to attempt to fire, I have designator turrets and the DDS script running, Is there anything else to try, do you have a blueprint that intercepts missiles well
Ruby<3 13 Oct, 2019 @ 3:05pm
thanks dood :)
Major Jon  [author] 13 Oct, 2019 @ 3:04pm
Yes of course, that's what I made them for :D
Ruby<3 13 Oct, 2019 @ 3:02pm
Hey jonathan, am I allowed to publish a build I'm making if I use your amazing turret design? I'll credit you in the description
Major Jon  [author] 13 Oct, 2019 @ 10:33am
I didn't write the script, maybe it can't recognize voxels or something, I don't know. You can try this or this script, maybe they work better for you.
Beast 12 Oct, 2019 @ 11:54pm
keeps tryn to shoot targets though voxels
Echo Mande 12 Oct, 2019 @ 9:32am
Nice!

This is one of those blueprints that have you pulling your hear (or ears) and yelling 'If Only I Could Use One Mod!'. In this case that mod would almost certainly be Digi's Conveyor Hinges.

Keep up the good work!
Major Jon  [author] 11 Oct, 2019 @ 4:30pm
You only need one programmable block on the whole ship, which manages all turrets automatically.
CrimsonAdder 11 Oct, 2019 @ 11:20am
you could, but it's best not to
peco 11 Oct, 2019 @ 7:45am
Are we supposed to place the programmable block on the turret. sorry if it sounds dumb, im not good with the programmable blocks.
Blade Viridian 8 Oct, 2019 @ 9:04am
GOOD GOOD
Rhea.licious 7 Oct, 2019 @ 11:21pm
Hey these could be super powerful replacements for the interior turret due to their tiny size!
Rhea.licious 7 Oct, 2019 @ 11:18pm
Yeah I currently have the Mk.VIII which was developed first, then the Mk.VII, and the Mk.V. Those just correspond the the versions of that specific turret design until I got it right.
Major Jon  [author] 7 Oct, 2019 @ 5:26pm
Yeah I haven't really put much thought into the names, it's just a running number.
Mk6 & Mk7 are still in development :D
Rhea.licious 7 Oct, 2019 @ 4:05pm
Neat! Lol my Mk.VIII is currently my largest turret size.
AeQuArTz 7 Oct, 2019 @ 2:32pm
Nice compact turret.
