Confirmed, for those wondering about it. The mod, unfortunately, only works with a new game.

I don´t think this work with existing saves. I activated the mod mid Fort Joy and never saw the skillbook, I am in Driftwood now and Ovis doesn´t sell the skillbook.

I also tried to craft the torch myself and it didn´t work.

This mod is an excellent idea. Nowadays I play the Pyramid of Shadows as post end game, but that mod has the annoying mechanic of day and night time, and when it´s night it´s completely dark.

Are you sure it works on existing saves? I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance.

I saw this mod and kinda passed it up thinking I'd never need it. But, that changed when I added Sims' Day and Night mod. The lighting makes some places a bit dark. And, this helps a ton when traveling in the dark.

This issue is called desync and it's not on the mod side. Check correctly if you have the same mods versions than the host you're playing with.

I'm having a glitch where having this mod switches around my player's abilities and changes the type of their equipment( eg: broadsword classified as a shield. Giving Shocking touch shows up as gag order on the player's side.)

Good-well mod, yes-yes

If you could make the staff light a toggle that would be great.

Can you make a version where the staff light lasts longer. About 100 turns.

Luxen, I finally got it! Thank you, this is a big help. I did manage to craft the torch earlier but that didn't work for me, perhaps because I'm using the Redress mod to retain the trident look on my staff.

Cheers. :)

Yes, but make sure that merchants resupply before.
Michlo 29 Jan, 2020 @ 8:28pm
Alas, no. Are you sure this will work with existing saves?
Luxen  [author] 29 Jan, 2020 @ 7:29pm
Ovis should sell pyro skills IIRC.
Michlo 29 Jan, 2020 @ 4:50pm
Thanks, Luxen. I'll check in just a few. :) I'm in Driftwood. Any particular vendor?
Luxen  [author] 29 Jan, 2020 @ 3:49pm
I made an update, make sure that the vendor in-game resupply and then check anew, it should be there.
Michlo 29 Jan, 2020 @ 3:17pm
Thanks, Luxen. I've searched a few of them now and still no luck. :(
Luxen  [author] 29 Jan, 2020 @ 4:04am
They should be available on skill vendors though. I quick check at generating skillbooks in GM mode showed that it appears properly. I will take a look to see if there's a specific treasure table concerning pyro skill vendors, but it should be included though.

Thank you for this. I searched for it after discovering that a night and day mod I'm enjoying causes interiors to be too dark.

I haven't yet found the spellbook, however. I've searched on magical traders and on pyro vendors specifically. Any other hints, please?

uhh nice idea Luxen :3

That worked. Appreciate the info, and the mod is great! I wanted to use dark levels for my players but it was odd to have lit torches everywhere or pointless to stumble around in the dark. Thanks again

Definitive Edition has troubles to actually put downloaded mods in the correct folder. Downloaded mods are in Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\435150\
In this folder you will see every mod ID, and each folder contain the pak of the mod. I suggest you to sort the folders by date so you can see which ones have been downloaded the last. When you have found the torch mod pak, just copy and paste it into Documents\Larian\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition\Mods\
You should now see the mod in the list of the main menu.

I can't see this mod in my Modlist in DE, oddly I do see it in Classic. I tried to un-sub and re-sub for this DE version but something just isn't going right for me. Any ideas that I should try?
Luxen  [author] 13 Oct, 2019 @ 5:41pm
The skillbook for the spell should appear along with other pyrokinetic skillbooks.
paladinjs 13 Oct, 2019 @ 2:29pm
Great mod!
Scaryokio 13 Oct, 2019 @ 11:22am
How do you get the spell?
Luxen  [author] 13 Oct, 2019 @ 3:40am
Thanks for your support ! This mod pairs well with GM Tool : Player sight as you can control the players sight distance, this way you can easily scare your players in a nighty forest or in a cave !

This is amazing. I'd use the fuck out of this in GM mode!
