@ETN In ARK: Survival Evolved, Cryosickness is a debuff that affects creatures when they are deployed from cryopods too quickly after being stored. It causes the creature to become unconscious and take significantly increased damage (often 10x the normal amount) for a set duration, typically 5 minutes.

This mod removes this mechanic completely and allows you store/deploy your CryoPods as often as you want without any impact on the dinosaurs being released.

@Euphie glad to hear it works now! Ark server configs can be finicky. Typically you wouldn't need to specify anything with regards to NoCryoCooldown engrams, everything unlocks automatically. Still, if it works, I'd leave it as-is!

Not sure what changed (I've been troubleshooting a different mod issue) but it completely works on my dedicated server now! Perhaps removing -automanagedmods? Adding the following to game.ini?

bOnlyAllowSpecifiedEngrams=True
OverrideNamedEngramEntries=(EngramClassName="EngramEntry_NoCryoCooldownPotion_C",EngramHidden=False,EngramLevelRequirement=0)
EngramEntryAutoUnlocks=(EngramClassName="EngramEntry_NoCryoCooldownPotion_C",LevelToAutoUnlock=1)

Thanks for the info @Euphie! I'm not sure what could be causing this then. I haven't played Ark in years and don't have time to jump back into it at the moment (not to mention the near-1TB install for the game + SDK...) however, next time I install I'll be sure to test it out and see what's happening and if there's anything that can be done to fix.

Any info on replicating steps on dedicated servers would be much appreciated! Including if anyone has managed to make it work on dedicated in the past months.

Unfortunately it only works in Singleplayer for me, just like Solar says below when I put it on my dedicated server the mod does not function. The engram shows up in my engrams tab, unlearnable, tried auto unlocking the engram through the ini file and it is still unlearnable, it costs 0 points and the ui says click to learn but the engram just blinks and stays unlearned, even with creative mode on & being the only active mod it will not show up in my craftables tab. Tried with an existing save and also a fresh one. I can't even spawn it on the server but all is fine in Singleplayer even with 2 other mods running alongside it.

@Brimm Yeah I've tried that and unfortunately it does not run with just that one installed. Since I've unsubscribed and resubscribed many times, I'm guessing the issue is going to be on the server side. Thanks for the responses, I am going to see if I can just force an update with the control panel.

@Solar it should. The only issue I could see was if it was manually installed from a previous version.

I’m not sure what’s going on but likely it’s not an issue with this mod specifically. This is the first time I’ve ever heard of this issue.

If you try staring a server with JUST this mod, do you still have the issue?

I have a weird issue where I can no longer run a server with this mod set as an active one a year later, even though it works in a single player and worked in the past. I have the ID entered properly and I have it installed and working just fine in single player, but the server does not show up on my list or any other people's list when it's active. I have 3 other mods active too, and the server shows up when this one is not included in the list.

@Toeshred you need to use the Engram class, no the Potion class. Try with `EngramEntry_NoCryoCooldownPotion_C`.

I tried to disable the potion engram, using the Game.ini option you provided (I copy pasted it, made sure it was under the [/script/shootergame.shootergamemode] section), but the engram still appears in my player engram list. I never learned it prior to disabling that engram. Maybe the name is wrong? I have it as "PrimalItemConsumable_NoCryoCooldownPotion_C".

Oooohhh so that'll be why one of the players on our server caused massive lag for all of us whenever she cloaked on a drake while close to us! Oddly enough it only happened to her, none of the rest of our players had the same lag effects. But really nice to know it's been fixed, thanks Brimm :104::PhogsHappy:

@ashtrot A new version of the mod has been released that should fix the issue permanently. I've also put in code that will "clean up" the multitudes of buffs that may have been left over from the previous versions of the mod and prevent them from stacking in the future.

@ashtrot Yes that's fine. And indeed that appears to be the buff so I'll dig into that. I'm guessing that the buff is being re-applied (and stacked) even when it's already there. Obviously it's not supposed to do that. The lag then happens probably when it has to evaluate the same condition for each of these applied buffs.

In the .arkprofile I found the string /Game/Mods/NoCryoCooldown/NoCryoCooldown_Buff.NoCryoCooldown_Buff_C with 1434.

@ashtrot No idea what would cause this, this is the first time I've heard of this issue since releasing it 5 years ago. Do you have a copy of your .arkprofile file that has littered with references? It might be an issue with how the buff is being added / removed and I'd have to dig into it. I haven't played Ark in years though and no longer have the SDK installed. If you can provide me with an .arkprofile file that has the references, it would help me tremendously in fixing the issue. Thanks!

After using this mod for a long period of time, I start to experience lag and a drop in FPS when using rock drake hides, shadowmane cloaking, etc.
Once this mod is disabled and then re-enabled, it seems to be normal for a while.

the mod works flawlessly, but can you add an ini (or give me the engram disable command) for the cryo potion, I would disable it myself but since its a modded item it wont appear on the engram disable list. regardless this the best cryomod currently out there rn with the exeption of the soul storage mod (and that was cut a ravine right through your modlist its so massive in size.)

@njurätaren probably, but not the way I coded it. Any mod that completely prevents it would be significantly more intrusive and have broader compatibility issues. Why do you need this specific behavior?

@minsu Probably, though it would depend on the nature of the other mods.

The way this mod works is that it gives you a special permanent and invisible buff that will automatically removes the "Cryo Sickness" debuff anytime it appears on your character. As such, it doesn't actively change anything about the Cryopods and should be compatible with other cryopod-related mods.

Works perfect, i was looking to remove cryosickness to play PVP in singleplayer, with pvp i can kill unclaimed dinos and do farms. This mod don't show anything in the game, just remove the cryosickness as said. Perfect!

@Jhanz it should. I haven't played Ark in a while but it should still work as it always did. It has no strong dependencies other than for the Cryo Sickness debuff.

Hello @Steven_DS,

Hard to say! I believe that all mods will need to be ported in some way or another but I haven't seen any guidance on how to do so. It would likely require getting the Unreal 5 SDK and porting whatever code and blueprints to that format.

I don't really plan on getting ASA but typically the SDK is free, so I'll still take a crack at porting the mod if there is proper Workshop support as well in ASA.

If not, all of my mods are public on GitHub so somebody can easily go see how I did the mods and port them if they wish to. Things will likely get clearer as we near the ASA release date.

@taliban Have you tried crafting and drinking the potion? Also, are you certain that the mod is properly loaded? Finally, are you using any other mods that may interfere with this one? The way this mod is coded it should be compatible with pretty much anything but there are ways that some mods could interfere with it.

@123 this mod was created BEFORE the setting existed. Additionally, this mod also works on PVP servers if you want to disabled the cooldown, something that the game settings do not allow.

@agathorn I've never seen this behavior. It's likely an issue with the configuration files for your game. I'm not quite sure how to fix this, unfortunately. Perhaps Steam is overwriting your config files from the Cloud Sync?

Am I the only one seeing this? 4 times in a row now. Every time I quit the game, when I come back to play again (Single Player) this mod is no longer in the Active list and has to be moved back in. Just this mod.
