okay so then cant the 2 lower module slots that hang off the bottom of the screen be re-positioned or removed altogether?

@MrShadow: The problem is that the "extra" modules were no planned in the original game and their correct "placement" is therefore inadequate. As is the case with too many cars in a small parking lot ...

Not sure if this has been pointed out but there is an issue where the ships in the mod have 2 module slots that are too far down on the bottom of the screen and you can barely see them

I wanted to leave everyting as it is in vanilla. So basic hero ships stats, but different skin. Even if modules would be randomly placed on the bigger ship modell at design screen.

@Groo the one: This mod assigns new ship hulls and designs to the heroes. And the file "BattleActionDefinitions.xml" is also altered. These changes are crucial for the function of the mod. Otherwise the heroes ships cannot be destroyed in space battles. So i would put this mod last in the loading order ...

lol now that u mention it i am using both of the above mentioned mods. His ship reached 700k alone. He wasnt really that tough. Until he joined my empire. His tech is good, i had better.

The hero ship alone has over 300,000 attack power? Could it be that you are playing the game with the "Enhanced Space 2 - Community bugfix and balance mod"? This mod changes the hero's skills enormously and in this case collides with the mod "Arkon Faction Heroes Ships", as it gives the ships great firepower. If you are using the "Enhanced Space 2 - Community bugfix and balance" mod, I recommend the "Arkon Faction Heroes Ships - ES2" mod. Ah, if you mean the pirate leader, his ship does indeed have the best weapons and shields. That's why hunting him is so dangerous. The additional module slots are a small goodie and are not provided in the base game. Maybe I will adjust these positions in the future. Have fun!

So first off thanks for the mod its been fun. I agree the heroes should be in bigger ships...BUT all the extra slots? It may be too much. I had 1 hero (the pirate captain cant remember his name) who had over 300k dps ALONE. It was insane, funny but insane. Also the extra slots are all over the place. Is there a way to fix that?

@VexRed: I'm glad you like this modification! :) To play the Sophons with the Mavros design choose the Mavros-skin in the game creation menu. The switch is located under the empire/faction picture in the first menu page ...

Thank you so much for your work on this. This was sorely needed!

Given your talent for this, I was wondering if you had any interest in creating a skin modification for the Sophons? It is my favorite faction to play, but I've always wanted to play Mavros (minor civilization). I love their aesthetics, and while they are not playable. Having at least a mod for their ships and then just customize the faction from the Sophon plate would be amazing!

@Sophia: Yes, that is possible. To do this, create your own copy of the Arkon mod and save this version in the "Community" folder (see previous post). Then modify the "HeroDefinition[FHEROS].xml" file as required. It also makes sense to give this local copy of the Arkon mod a new name: e.g SophiasHEROS. Change the string <RuntimeModule Name="ArkonFHEROES" in the "ArkonFHEROS.xml" file. Then delete the file "PublishedFile.id" in the main folder of the new mod, because you only want to use this new mod locally yourself. When you start Endless Space 2, your new mod will be listed under the locally installed mods. Have fun!

I'm not talking about a mod per se, i edited HeroDefinitions to change political parties and classes for some heroes and i made Kinete Muldaur the United Empire starting hero. I was just wondering if i could somehow keep my own edits AND get the Arkon Hero ships.

@Sophia: Hi, you want to add your own hero to the "HeroDefinitions.xml" file? Simply copy the Arkon mod folder from the SOURCE "XXX\Steam Folder\Steam Apps\Workshop\Content\" into DESTINATION "C:\Users\User Name\Documents\Endless Space 2\Community\". Then you can change the XML files. Or just make your own little HERO mod (there are many examples in the WORKSHOP such as the Manga heroes), assign your new heroes the apropiate ships from the Arkon mod and place your mod in the loading sequence behind the Arkon mod ... Have fun!

Hello! I the change log says you updated the Vodyani Ark Templates but was an increase in Ark cost also part of the change? My Arks now cost strategic resources even from turn 1 now. Is this a bug or intentional?

i really really like the concept of heroes in medium sized faction specific vessels but it makes most heroes OP beyond any reason 278k offensive power on a hero ship is more then all my non hero ships combined, is there any chance you could try and add a bit of balance ?

@ Fry McFly (Mod Suggestion): The idea itself is good. Unfortunately, the heroes and their ships are defined at the beginning of the game. A subsequent change of these ships is not possible. The game developers simply did not provide this option in the game mechanics ...

Hello!

It seems the Vodyani hero ships have some bugs,

Letum Class seeker ship: it does not save the module placed in the slot above the engine, but it does take the dust needed for the upgrade. Also, the extra slot all the way at the bottom doesn't accept any modules. After i drag a module there it does not stick to the slot

Like most other mods, this mod is not save game compatible because it alters some files of the game. You have to start a new game to use these alternative ships ...

@Hektor Varvaras: Yes, as with most mods, achievements are disabled here. Achievements are only possible when using cosmetic and pure game extension mods.
