so i absolutely love this ship i have fixed the yaw with my servers RCS but my literal only complaint is it needs assisted landing. i know you made the dock but i do move a lot. in fact for my HV's i have made a small Mule like SV where the HV docks to it. but i do wish there was a way to make unassisted landing without the tachi looking like it had chicken legs :P any suggestions Jradall? other wise i love your work and pretty much only use your designs because of how well they're made and user friendly they are.

ape--yes ive used it in re and had no issues other than it having a few too many extra storage boxes than i like which can be removed so other things can fit

Anyone use this recently in RE? I just built it and there is almost no turning left or right. It does turn just very very slowly. This is in space or orbit. I made sure the switches for high performance RCS was on but no change at all. Any tips or help is appreciated.

I just had a quick question, why no detector? To me its one of the most basic system needed for exploration. I was just curious if there was a reason. I love the design

BTW Gonna try this out, soon as I saw it I went WOW that's cool, then when I saw it was the rocinante, I had to have it. Read the entire expanse series twice before the show was even in the idea stage. Loved them both..... I may change the name to Amos, OK? XD

@poichan goto devices, find it in the list then set view on hud to yes/on whatever then use God mode to go right to it, then turn off show on hud once you know where it is. Be careful do not delete/scrap/get rid of anything you have showing on HUD you will never get rid of the marker.

Hey, absolutely love your work. Fell in love with the Tachi/Rocinante ship after watching the Expanse show, and was glad to find such a high quality replica of it in this game! I've been playing around with it in Creative Mode, but I seem to have a lot of trouble finding the Pentaxid tank (I'm loading in the fuel, oxygen, ammo etc manually). Could you tell me where it is? I tried searching the whole engineering section, especiall at the bank where all the fuel tanks are, but I can't seem to find it. Thank you!

@(M3) Russel: we ended up making a repair bay on a post off of the bottom of a space station. the dock itself blocks the repair area in the one made for it.

Thank you (M3) Russel and The Rather Splendid Gentleman! @(M3) Russel, I would need to look at the ship again and see what update broke or changed it yet again. lol. @The Rather Splendid Gentleman, when I first made this ship is was stupidly fast and turned like a little jet fighter. I don't even know at the time how it works anymore but I am surprised that it would be that slow. Are you trying to use this in vanilla or Reforged? In reforged, I am not sure how the CPU would play out and it would need the extra CPU blocks and maybe some quantum cores added so it runs the thrusters are full potential. (Maybe). I made this ship pretty close 2 4x the scale of the original as I needed that to attempt to shape it properly. If converted to a SV thou, it is nearly 1 to 1 on the original size, but a SV that size is a lost cause really and not good at anything nor can I put on the right weapons. So, I really have no plans to do another one or smaller one. Thanks again!

damn wish this thing worked in reforged. its perfect bar the standard CPU being miles out and the speed .. shes a slow boat!

So anyone have advice on how to fix this wonderful ship? I took some block loss and I'm using the pad made for it but I keep getting the area is blocked D: help.

Thank you Krelian! When building it and before I made the interior, I did experiment with vertical landing however it did not work well and made it nearly impossible to have a decent hangar and load stuff in it. Also it was very difficult to park vertically even when I added a cockpit facing the back in the rear thruster housing. It was just too tall and skinny to work decent that way in EGS. I did do that method with a recent creation, The Kriel Interfector, but it was much shorter and wider when landing and worked decently. Thanks again!

Holy..! Amazing, simply amazing! Is it possible to land this beauty on a planet without a docking bay? I mean; I totally respect that the creator/s making a ship that is authentic to the Expanse Universe, but for gameplay practical purposes; if this thing could actually land on the surface of a planet (horizontally) ?? it would be even better, IMHO :) Man, breathtaking design, anyways!

This is one of the coolest ships youve built yet imo. quick question though;

You talked about in your youtube walkthrough on this ship adding RCSs to make is turn better, but removed them to give it a more CV feel. where what that spot intended? or was that completely removed. Best I can tell, there's a spot right over the warp drive that 2 would fit in, but they only give +1 to R, Y, and P equally.

No worries mate, i've been tinkering with it myself. Since rcs aren't as important now, thruster placement is what has the most impact on turning. So you might want to look into those.

Thank you CuL8R, itsCyberWolfe, benjinega, and TooMuchDanger! @itsCyberWolfe, this was built just before the new flight model kicked in. When I got it to A11, I removed all the RCS. But I believe if your were to add back in some RCS up to CPU T4 limits, it should regain some turning etc. @TooMuchDanger, when building it, I messed with the idea of doing a vertical interior, but do to landing issues and making it not very usable in game, I decided not to do it. Very cool build. Now try building it with vertical stacking decks like in the show. (As a side note, in the books, this class of craft are supposed to land on ground belly first! Not vertically. I believe the reason was something about the insane heat coming out of the reactor would melt any landing sites)

I really love this beautiful ship, and was inspired to create a support vessel to go with it. I made a small mining and salvage CV that actually fits inside the hangar bay. I am not an expert builder, but I followed the MCRN theme as closely as possible and have made the smallest CV I could with the functionality desired. Thank you CuL8R! It is hard to say. I was very careful when building this to keep all hot parts away from places the player can go. But I have heard that sometimes like you and heidan65 said that the games glitches some how and makes every thing hot. But then changing playfields it is fine again. It seems pretty random. As in FPS drop, There is more and scene to draw + lighting so I would expect some lowered frame rate, but 120 to 30 seems like way to much. IDK. I will have to spawn it and see what numbers I am getting on that. I don't recall having really any noticable difference in FPS from it. I will look again. Thanks again!

This is an awesome ship and a work of art! I love it!!!

2 issues (minor) - I had the same problem as heidan65 with the high temp and rads by the crafters after spawning. I think it's a glitch. I took it down into atmosphere and then back into space and the issue resolved itself. Second (and I don't know if this is common with large ships) Standing aft by the crafters and looking forward I get FPS drop from 120 down to around 30. Like I said - both of these issues are minor and do not detract from me loving this ship (especially after all that sathium grinding haha)! Cheers!!

Thank you heidan65 and Charlie! @Charlie, yeah, that is odd and I am glad it was a bug. It shouldn't have heat in those places as I was careful to keep the player at least 1 block away from hot parts which normally has no further heat there. And thank you again all!

First, what a fantastic ship. Like all the other ships comming from you.
I wish I had your skills in ship building.

But ....;) I have major problems with heat in the area around the constructors. Around 800-900 degrees. If I turn off the 2 thrusters below the deck, some of the heat dissipates, but there are still 350 degrees above the generators. Also at the other end of the hangar by the elevator, also above the generators. If I turn on the jetpack and don't touch the floor, then teh temp is fine.
Could it be because I'm playing Experimental that it doesn't work right?

That makes sense now. I thought that the Tachi was smaller since yours felt massive. I love spawning your ships in creative mode to see my friends jaw drop, especially the new players. Seeing what someone could build with this game and all its creative limitation is just amazing. Again, amazing work and glad that you shared it with us

Thank you -=PB=-PhelixPhoenix, rjnedlaw, and Voodoo! @Voodoo, It was problematic building the ship to be able to be functional in game both with the over all look and shape of it. On the looks side, I needed to scale it up in order to have enough blocks to try to shape it correctly. Beyond that, trying to get it to be a functional ship in game took a bit. The Tachi in the show is 46 meters long, this one is nearly 4 time larger than that at 164 meters. I did convert it to a SV as well which comes out close to 1 to 1 on scale, but with CPU, no turrets for SV's, etc, it doesn't make for a ship that would work in game well at all. Then I experimented with landing vertically which didn't work so well either and a vertical interior would have been terrible for game play and docking HV's SV's etc. So the body was modeled around the Tachi in the show, but the rest was improv so it could be used in game as a functional ship. I'm a huge fan of the show and the books and I'll have to rate this build a 10/10 for the stunning detail and beauty. Your collection is also fantastic and I'm amazed by the creativity you put into each of them (LOVE the pioneer) and yet stylistically make it still look like the MCRN could have made them. I do have a question about scale though, when i tried out the Tachi, i felt like it was MASSIVE. Idk if it was just me or did you design it like such to suit the needs in game?

Could you flip the extra landing pads and the production side in the main hangar on the Tachi? So we don't have to walk the entire hangar deck to get to them from the bridge? Thanks! Also, I added some functional mining lasers in my play and I bet you could build a hiding place for them into that body pretty easily and maintain the look.

Thank you Adjoint and DirtyOldMan!. @Adjoint, No, the Nemeis does have more weapons and more general hull thickness in blocks. The Tachi does have some extra thickness in some more critical areas. @DirtyOldMan, thanks. Either way, trying to make it vertical on the interior and the complexities of landing vertical in game made me go for the horizontal interior so I could get some HV/SV docking and larger hangar.
