the pic in the background looks like a cummins N14 or a Cummins M11 but really doesn't matter to me anyways...

Man you hit the nail on the head with this. Cummins revs better than Cat but Cat out Pulls it all day long

One thing missing for the CAT engines is the pyrometer guage. Pulling a hill the engine heats up. If you don't downshift the heat will melt the rubber o-rings holding the cylinders together, and you blow the engine. But I guess it's a good thing that over heating isn't in the sim. LOL

I've have drove trucks with all the diesel names under the nose, I look at it like this. get in the truck, start it up, get your load, get on the road and rev the piss out of it, diesel motors are built to work drive it like you stole it, who ever the manufacture made it as long and it makes you money be happy.

If you can't run with a CAT engine, then stay on the porch with the dog.

The CAT engines should have pyrometers in the trucks to tell you when you need to downshift on hills and cool down the engine. http://www.dieselmanor.com/isspro/pyrometer_basics.htm

nothing like the cummins n14 red top celect plus. Those cats when they need an overhaul are crazy stupid expensive a platinum overhaul is almost 20k. Cummins on the other hand is like 8k for what i call a platinum overhaul for cummins

Ain't nothing like a Caterpillar engine.

lol. I don't intend to get into a Cat vs Cummins war. There will always be people on either side of that one :)
