Constantinople did exist but it did have a different name. It was byzantium at the time and it was founded 367 years before the mod's start date.

Technically since it was built on top of the previous city, the first name of Istanbul was lygos.

It goes lygos > byzantium > Augusta Antonina > constantinople > istanbul

there was no costantinopolis at this time
