Hi! Is it possible to have the unit look for the vanilla sacred band as reskin? I prefer not add new units related to vanilla ones, but looks i s awesome :)

ilko_fb , the Mod does not need to be updated, make sure you check "enable out of date mods" in your mod manager, it works fine.

Okay, i'm sorry because i was not aware it had a campaign cap, i suggest you add it to the description to avoid any misunderstandings.
I have 2 additional questions-
1. what is the num. cap on this unit?
2. are you planning on raising the recruitment price anytime in the future?

Barc, it used to cost much more than the vanilla unit, CA increased the costs a while back. There is also a campaign cap as well while there is no cap on the vanilla unit.

honestly, this unit would have been great if it were more balanced.
it costs less than the vanilla unit and without any number limitations, why bother having normal sacred band if you could have the elite one?

can u make another carthageinain unit like veteran afican infantry or sacred band of ball swordsmen cause carthage is falling behind and i would be forever in your debt if u could bring carthage on par or silight better than others(if you wish for a explenation why i ask just as and ill give a historically acurate reason)

This is a nice unit, really well done, but you need to increase recruitment and upkeep cost in order to balence it out more, currently has the same cost as a regular sacred band unit which makes the vanilla sacred band unit obselete.
Also you should reduce the melee attack to about 36-38 and melee defence to 56-65 and the charge bonus by a few points. to keep balenced with the average stats of other elite spear units like Royal spartans and Shield bearers etc, or was this intended to be a god like unit?

Captain Moodaq, you may be mistaken, the picture you linked me is an artists interpretation of Hannable's African infantry, he titled his work "the lions of carthage", I had never heard of the african infantry being called that before and searches all lead back to that one picture so I imagine he made the name up for dramatic effect. My unit was modeled after the sacred band of carthage, not the african infantry. The sacred band are described to be wearing iron cuirass and bronze helmets with large round white shields. I called them "The Lions of Carthage" because the sacred band is already in the vanilla game, not because they were called by such a name in reality. I made it up just like the artist who drew the picture you linked did ;).

The lions of Carthage were a real veteran unit. The pic is reconstruction of them.
They were seasoned fighters but not nearly as reach as your hoplites to aquire steel thorax, or purple dyes.

Captain Moodaq, im not sure what that picture is of, I based my design off historical texts and greek stelae.
"At the Krimisos in 341 the Sacred Band of Carthaginian citizens fought as a well-drilled phalanx with iron cuirasses, bronze helmets and large white round shields. Stelae from Carthage, many of them unpublished, are described as showing similar troops in muscled cuirasses with pteruges, conical helmets and round shields"

The only question i have: why is this unit called lions of carthage? While real lions had nothing in common with this lions? Not even thei colors are same.

Can you update it so that it reads "Lions of Carthage", not "Lion's of Carthage", there should not be an apostrophe. Good mod, just that apostrophe bugs me! Thanks

Thank you so much for these unit packs. Im doing a multiplayer Campaign against my buddy whos playing Rome. I finaly have 1 unit granted limited to 6 but at least one unit that can now at least compete against Rome.

I can attest to Painmace, I just fought against Nova Carthago and it was really weird to watch some invisible guys attacking my slingers.

Found an bug with the mod where i play as Nova Carthago in a mp-campaign and the unit is invisible (They use the same unit roster as Carthage) and the unit icon is a hastati unit on a boat.....? The stats and description are like they should be.

Ok, i've checked the second time and Carthage lion including the generals works perfectly normal. but the Lybian ones are broken. They are fully invisible, and their unit icon looks like a legionaire on the boat not the stylish purple one.
