I am once again asking you to help me get Maintainer tags for steam workshop co-authors, so we can upload files and keep mods from getting abandoned and/or reuploaded.
Gravships are about having a moving base that allows the player to more easily traverse the map and experience the random POI events.
SOS2 Is about expanding on the SPACE part of the game. Travelling between worlds, or chasing high value encounters in the void. I think SOS2 can work with Odyssey instead of against it. Space Ships could be docked at Orbital Bases, and Gravships could send colonists up to the Orbital Bases to Send off for space.
Perhaps Ships could have Gravships as well, allowing a player in orbit with their ship to pick a spot and land on with their Gravship.
Odyssey, however, drastically strips down the Gravship piloting to just a ritual to transport yourself and your ship to another cell on the world map, in order to make room for new biomes, new dungeons, new events, and other cool stuff to do when you’re not flying the Gravship.
So, ultimately, whether Odyssey is worth the price or not is largely up to you.
Either way, whether it’s Version 3 or Version 2.8, I’m looking forward to the next Save Our Ship update.
because i want to buy it but i need atother opinion on this dlc and is it even fun to play the cam?
To clarify: Gravships seem to be intended as a shorter range orbital experience. SOS ships seem to be intended as stuff like the ship you leave on in the vanilla ending, or the ship you arrive on in the crash landed scenario. And then on top of that, gravships don't add nearly as much stuff as SOS.
The patch will be linked in blue.
get "SOS2 - VE Events Compatibility Patch" to fix that
