No sorry, its hard coded to game i think, even if damage volume is disabled the sound plays automatically if its set to radiation, thats left over after HL2 i think so i do not know how to disable it. But if i find solution i keep in mind to try do something with it x)

-I extracted the vpks and moved the materials into my "garrysmod" folder

-the fog one doesnt crash

very strange, just checked, there is such decal ("graffiti001a" to be exact) in CS:S but my map does not use that particular texture nowhere, neither its inside my bsp since it should load just additional stuff which i added to map file.

That leads me to believe it must be something on your side, especially since map was not updated for ages now and noone reported any crashes on loading map itself hmm,
Tell me
- do any other CSS maps also crash for you?
- do you downloaded CSS content off internet or do you have css installed via steam?
- tried any other ttt maps?
- and most importantly do ttt_weekend_in_alley_FOG version also gives you crashes?
- how many addons you have mounted in garrysmod, and did you try disable them in game menu, enabling just map and try load to it?

Its important for me so people are able enjoy my map so I'll try to help where I can. If two last points from above not help I maybe add you and we gonna be thinking furter.

@Aie'dail When it gets to "loading resources" it disconnects and prints in the console some error about cs_graffiitidecal001a or something. I have css mounted

Works fine on sandbox we just been tryingthat the other day xP unless you ask does it have any waypoints and stuff like that then no, but i was thinking about.

About the crash It must be some mods you have, try to disable all mods temporarely and run map see then, just a reminder TTT maps need CS:Source content (though i doubt thats reason for crash) .

If its your pc preformance related crash u can try run this map with FPS BOOSTER (link in description) but load other map first so u get booster pop up and u enable it then just reload on this map and let me know did it help.

alternatively try ttt_weekend_in_alley_fog there is fog which actively reduces visibility which makes preformance much better (It is however much earlier build of this map, if i gonna update it i will be updating fog first since non-fog version takes like 2h to compile x)

Just a note for people subbed to my map (almost 2,200 of you - thank you very much!!)

On begining of description i added adnotation about FPS BOOSTER addon for gmod!!
It does really solid FPS BOOST for this map, and for gmod in general, so i highly reccomed to try it out, especially if this map let you down preformance wise!

Can't belive i discovered it just now, it was out there since 2017 x)

Yeah fog works there is fog version already check it with mat_wireframe x) i probably could make it even bit furter and less dense, you just need set Z clip a bit higher than fog limit itself, it does not work when I tested it in cs:s if i remember but in gmod it works as best it can i think.

I was rebuilding hint and skips from scratch 3 times, I tried also do outdoors areaportals, but their effect was not as good as I hoped for, on top of that I do have absolute fetish to put nodraw on everything i posibly can xD I know if i would rise middle building till sky it probably gonna fix hella issues but its kinda not what i going for, I already made bunch of things to reach sky as i Originally not planed to do (The fog version is actualy considerably older map build still I should update it at some point x) Anyhow comment section is likely not best to discuss such details, I'll add you if you want we can chat about such things Iam always happy to learn more :D

I'm no expert on fog, I'm not sure if it helps performance for the source engine like it does with other engines. The best you can usually do for optimizing is proper use of nodraw and areaportals. Sometimes all it takes for an area portal to be more effect is to have a sky scraper block of LOS to other portals or changing the design of an entrance to have the area portals work better. But that skyscraper trick only worked because something I noticed how my map preformed under a wireframe performance test. Somehow the insides of a building were rendering despite being an entire floor above it on another street looking in certain directions, and that brush in that place stopped the insides from being rendered when you were on that street looking in that direction. I'm not sure if that info will help you with this map, these open city maps are hell on framerates.

I really dont know, only thing it needs is CSS Content, cant realy think of anything specyfic what could be wrong, I'am Sorry to hear you have issue!
Its very unlikely but maybe some of your addons conflict or something, are you sure that you have marked Counter Strike Source when you click the little gamepad button on bottom right in main menu? It should be ticked, not sure is it ticked when you have CSS Content downloaded off internet, in that case maybe you threw it in wrong folder?
also what gamemode you trying to run map in? Sandbox and TTT should run it just fine!
I hope some of these suggestions fix the issue, i really have no other idea what could be a problem, let me know is it still not working after you check all these things, but I honestly can't think of anything else, outside veryfying your Gmod via steam, reinstaling or checking do map works when you leave just map enabled and disable other addons in main menu

Thanks for feedback @Niara I really trying my best to improve FPS, but source dont really handles open maps very well, can't promise it will be much better sadly (I wil try ofc, I'am sure there still is few improvments on that aspect i could try), However for that reason i will be relasing foggy version which will render just stuff you can see no matter what , i think more than half of map lenght should be enough and this should boost preformance alooot, and be best option for people who have big FPS issues and still want enjoy map without getting annoyed by preformance, maybe i put bigger priority to push that specyfic version faster since already someone ask about it, link will be in description here when i throw it on workshop x)

Great map, but I found some more bugs:
-The air vent and climbable pipe in the sewers seem to obstruct each other, moving one over should fix this.
-One of the doors opens into rubble.
-Mirrors are broken when I'm not right in front of them.
-Probably intentional, but pallets can't be broken.
