hey Mr Tsubodai! thanks for your support! i am aware that the ROF for some cannons are not too much realistic as some other of their values, but overall the vanilla weaponsystem & gamebalance is working for me. i might consider an addtional gun rework after the last big dlc for this game has been released

I really enjoy your mods, both in SD2 and SD1.
I hope you might create a version of your wonderful mod where you fix/rebalance different guns/calibers and their reload times.
Aside from the IS-2's 122mm, guns and armor have pretty similar reload values.
Games typically depict a much larger disparity (than there really existed) between large caliber high-velocity guns of late-war tanks, as compared to their predecessors.
An example is that the Tiger and the Sherman have similar reload times, though historically, Sherman crews were able to fire much faster than the crews of the big cats.
A rebalance would give greater relevance to the Sherman and Pz.IV in particular, because in the current game, they aren't very useful.
It would also change the dynamic between tanks and high-caliber AT guns.

hey MattoFrank! as far as i know, there is no way to edit the generated mod files. you can try to merge mod files, but that is Nothing i have done yet for myself. you can find the mod files for steel division at that location:

Hey, is there any way to access the files of this mod? I want to make some slight alterations for my own use but I cannot for the life of me figure out where subscribed mods are saved. Files are being downloaded by steam whenever I subscribe to a mod but both the mods folder in "saved games" and the one in the game directory only contain my own (test)mod o_O

talokm55 & fisto the robo yeah, updates can be the problem. you have to ensure the mods are patched for the last update and because of engine flaws you can mostly only have ONE mod active at the same time. otherwise just subscribe the mod and activate it ingame at the main menu

@talokm55: every game updates breaks mods. The mods have to recompile and get reuploaded each time. Last patch, the compiler system was broken by the update.

Why cant I get this (along with 99.9% of all other mods on the workshop) to activate in game? Always says error when trying. Shouldn't be rocket science.

whitewolfmxc you are right again and i found some more vanilla bugs with their bunkers. i was able to fix the bug with the fw-190 cluster ammuniton too. patch should be soon online

Does Soviet 3ya GV VDD seens gun pit only have 2 per card ? Shouldn't it normally be 6 by default?

for some reason the 716 division (the 15 wave one) the FW 190 F8 cluster bomb plane it doesnt drop all the cluster bombs ? they always leave 4 left and you cant even manually order them to drop it ?

argh typo, I meant Soviet 3ya GV VDD division, where the empty gun emplacements only come in a card of 2's and they also have vetrency level to chose from

whitewolfmxc I'm not quite sure what you mean by that now. i checked the deck and didnt find anything unusual now. if you are refering to the bunkers, its all on vanilla and you can take bunkers with different veterancy in other decks too

seashell because main guns are not that effective to suppress infantry units in a short time. sorry, but i wont change it. you may look for another mod, which suits you more in that case. i think they are some out there, were all mgs can fire under 100m

but i want the tank coaxial mg to shoot under 100m, because somehow they are affected by this.
why do tanks have mgs if cannon can provide close defence while mg can not?

seashell maybe thats a point, but the mg range restrictions have been implemented from eugen for some other reasons as well: to add more flavor & make some units more or less valuable with different infantry wepon settings. otherwise nobody would take units with a smg setting and take only units with too powerfull mg42. they would loose a big part of their usefulness. and tank main guns have a very low firerate compared to mgs, which make most not as effective as them in close quarter combat

whitewolfmxc if they have the right ammunition to engage the unit, than its sadly a vanilla bug, which sometimes occurs. i really hoped, they had fixed it

not sure if its an original game bug , but sometimes when the AT weapon is in green cover (woods) and it shows it has clear LOS , and in range (not even having any effective shot set up) but it simply is not shooting at the visible enemies (b=not even if you press attack)

no, sorry. i have already too much versions to maintain and i ilke the vanilla deck system. but you can merge mods. that is something i havent done for myself and you have to search for this topic in the steam forum

seashell sorry, but no. 100m ingame is not reallife 100m, its close quarter combat range for this game. thats why flamethrower etc have higher ranges too. but some "smaller" mgs can shoot under 100m

1st SS LSSAH, Pz Gren LSSAH (gep.) - the fanatical ones - have 11 Available in Phase B, on Vet 2. Im guessing since the rest is all 16 and 24, you were aiming for 12, and its just a typo? xD
