Front ARB -3, rear ARB -2 -> car becomes almost neutral. -4 / 0 -> driftcar.
After dialing out the turn in understeer + turn out oversteer it's very enjoyable but you have to be patient with this car, this is not GT3.
Some skins would be nice.
Thanks.
marv 12 Jan, 2022 @ 10:23am
Can someone please make a proper setup for this and share it. The car has too much understeer. Too much.
marv 16 Aug, 2021 @ 1:32pm
This car deserves an update. :)

This is my favorite car in all of rF2.
Humble thanks to the modder.
RCC 30 Sep, 2020 @ 8:54am
Super mod despite being 0.5. Can you replace the driver model with something newer with helmet and gloves, like the modern GT3? This guy looks like cartoon zombie from half life era.
FastMax_ 11 Jul, 2020 @ 8:12pm
This car does have an incredible amount of under steer that you learn how to work with. It's very similar to how it is in Assetto Corsa so I would say it's pretty accurate.
shovas 11 Jul, 2020 @ 7:20pm
Great car, thank you! There's something strange about the grip levels on this car, though. The fronts have no grip even though ffb force is strong. It's strange. I get that rear-engined cars exhibit understeer but there's no way a driver in a real car would be feeling this level of understeer for the level of strength coming through the wheel. It's weird.

This car is fantastic, really well done.
I bean driving manual and heal n toe for a few hours and boy is it a handful to get right.
Can I suggest you watch a video on YT its called Getaway in Stockholm Porsche 911 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtHaoHix96U
It would be the icing on the cake if you can get the off throttle sound a little louder and throatier throughout the rev range
Kondor999 15 Apr, 2020 @ 12:12pm
This is the absolute best version of this car I have ever driven. I have driven a late 80's 911 Turbo (aka 930) IRL and, while not precisely the same car, the essential nature of it has been perfectly replicated here. The way you use the rear weight bias to get the car turned in, is just right. The tires are also incredible, feeling like street tires should (but not wobbly, like in AC). If anyone ever wants to know how an 80's turbo 911 felt to drive, this is as close as you're likely to get without dropping $100k + on a real one. 11/10 rating.

@rastadrifter I understand that you're doing this in your spare time but the windshield bugs are not present with S397 content. Only related bug was with some of the Tatuus cars cockpit parts reflecting the track. And it's not only the mod tracks that cause the windshield bug with Yellowbird, you can see this eg. in Zandvoort. I really hope you could take your time to fix this or ask for help (try S397 forums). This car is so great to drive that it deserves to be completed.

great car

Using the VIVE, I had to turn the Head Physics down to 32%. Usually I have HP at the stock 100%, but there was just to much sickness inducing motion. Love what you've done.
Doddynco 29 Nov, 2019 @ 1:30pm
FFB is perfect too :D
Doddynco 29 Nov, 2019 @ 1:28pm
Excellent mate everything is stunning so far. Sound is brilliant although the brakes are just a tad too loud. I have a little graphical bug in the showroom - some big black squares are popping in and dancing around. Thank you!!!:steamhappy:

Hi broskis, about the track white lines bug at Milano,i have it even whit stock content,is not my mod, since it happens in replay too, about the windshield reflections i go reduce them, but attention, from my part the wipers probably never go work,is a pain in the ass,and honestly between real job and moding theres is not time and pacience to learn all that, :D,but anyone is free to added the wipers, etc, all i have to say is sorry for not be a professional moder :),for all a rest of a good week and kisses(no homo) for all ;)
tobiaspitzer 27 Nov, 2019 @ 12:21pm
It is well known that the RUF Yellowbird is not a simple car. It drives very well, but you have to be able to handle it. But like some others here there are some graphical bugs. In Misano, for example, the white track boundary lines disappear again and again. When I leave the track and stand in the gravel bed in front of a black track boundary, it looks like it is raining on the windshield. On other tracks there were other graphical bugs like short picture dropouts. Would be great if this was fixed.

EA 27 Nov, 2019 @ 3:32am
It drives great but it seems that track lines reflect from windscreen and it's pretty annoying. Also on some tracks the track lines alter from visible to hidden. Some sort of shader bug?
RCC 26 Nov, 2019 @ 11:02am
More modders should follow your example and make what's actually missing right now in sims. I could not keep this monster on the track in Nordschleife, just like it should be. Already excellent mod!

Only two minor things I noticed.
1. FFB is indeed too light, but I just set it to 1.5 in settings and it's fine.
2. There are strange vertical gray reflection lines going over windscreen from cockpit view, at first I thought those are smoke particles from behind. Maybe other cars have that too, just hadn't noticed before.

1.0 version will be awesome!

LJW85 24 Nov, 2019 @ 12:49pm
@rastadrifter Hey man, I just spent a few hours driving this mod and Assetto Corsa version and yours is pretty much bang on. The brakes issue is down to the crap default car setup, now I have a decent setup the car is significantly better to drive. So the mod is not the issue but car setup is in my unprofessional opinion, maybe just the default car setup is not right for me, but that is solved now and I have no complaints as it is up to standard of NSX from ISI I think. A Lamborghini Diablo, Ferrari GTO, Porsche 959, Ferrari F40 would be great on R Factor 2. Just an idea/s as I think you could do a good job at more 1980's and 1990's cars, the sim needs them. Of course I am not telling you what to make just some ideas.
rd.king 24 Nov, 2019 @ 6:59am
wonderful work so far great fun to drive.
I find the FFB a little light on my T500
but easily adjusted
handling is well balanced
thanks

Great Job!! Your Ferrari 312T was also very good ..look forward to all your future upcoming mods eg: Mercedes 190E , Toyota AE86 and others ...physics feel great and believable for the yellowbird (need thumbs up emoji)
LJW85 23 Nov, 2019 @ 6:17pm
@serbPSN Absolutely I mean the GT3 cars from Studio 397 are great but too easy to drive, their is nothing stopping them from doing race cars from different eras. Their are many great mods for R Factor 2 on International Sim Racing website I downloaded GT1 cars and Touring Cars, 1970s Aussie Cars etc, but I am often skeptical that mods have being done properly I can trust official ones but I don't know about the many free ones (perhaps because I don't know what mods really are and how they are made). R factor 2 has the physics and the AI is good but needs work (well this is the case with every sim), it just needs more laser scanned tracks and a range of official cars from different eras like Project Cars 2 has. The new RF2 interface is out mid December so I think in time it will get much better, I just hope so.
serbPSN 23 Nov, 2019 @ 5:30pm
@lewiswood20585 I agree, this game could also be like Gran Turismo of PC with factory cars and such
2ndLastJedi 23 Nov, 2019 @ 1:37pm
Wow man 😘 you did it and boy did you do it! Thanks heaps mate.
LJW85 23 Nov, 2019 @ 8:23am
R Factor 2 needs more 1980's & 1990's cars like this. Too many sequential gearbox race cars, personally I prefer manual gearbox race cars. Great job on this RUF Porsche, brakes hardly work then they lock up so I am not sure if this is realistic as per the real car or what. But thanks for this this mod, great work. Hard to drive though like the real car :) (from what I have heard the real car handles like anyway)
bluemoonuk 23 Nov, 2019 @ 6:03am
great first release, physics feel great.
there is some bugs but thats not a criticism, skins need work, no dash lights when lights on, mirror reflection is a little high, ai struggle, maybe need a new setup and gear change is very fast, pdk fast !!
but great effort and look forward to updates :)
